End of M1 G3 15:13 You can flicker the pithing needle, and then whilst it's out vial in the Yorion. It still ends up eating the Sheoldred's Edict but you mentioned Flickerwisp didn't help, and I think it does a least get the Yorion into play a turn earlier.
I think I recall you mentioning this player in the new Eternal Glory pod, felt a kinship with them as a new/returning player kinda drawn towards these shells that depend on meta knowledge and the pilot's understanding of the opponent's deck. Loved the new pod episode and looking forward to joining y'all's Patreon!
1:12:10 in previous iterations of the deck (back when we were 60 cards) I would've shipped this hand all day long. In the yorion world though I find myself keeping hands that just reliably cast my spells in the first 3ish turns of the game. One of the easiest ways to lose with the deck is just keeping a 1- or 2-lander and drawing mono-3 drops.
Round 1, Game 3, you could have got Yorion into play the turn you drew Flickerwisp. Target Needle then put Yorion into play. Could have bought a few turns for Kaldra to enter play, which would have worked because Torpor Orb doesn't affect it.
Feels like there've been a good number of mono black stompy decks in recent videos, is there something it does that works in this meta that wasn't possible in the pre-EI, pre-Initiative meta? Like, we've seen I think 5 of those decks in the last 3 weeks and it's not like painter, elves, or cephalid breakfast that're always sleeper strong so what's got these folks going at it w/ these decks?
You could have flickered their swamp in G5 to destroy the city and take them back down to two mana assuming they make the treasure to follow. Maybe still worse than destroying the token, but definitely an option.
Depends how linear the gameplan is. BR Reanimator? Learn the goldfish patterns and patterns through one piece of interaction because that's a ton of games. DnT? Basically none. Your decisions are based on so many in-game things that just deploying your bears and counting to 20 is not representative of a real game.
Quotes taken out of context make gamers sound like the worst villains. "Hopefully I'll resolve some things and ruin his life." I imagine that is what Lex Luthor says to his therapist in their weekly sessions.

Death and Taxes is such a paradox of a deck. It's a bad deck full of bad cards but is also a good deck full of good cards. Much like burn, I repeatedly disrespect the deck, and then often lose to it. Maybe if I prepared more I wouldn't hate the deck so much but I just can't respect it for some reason. Always fun to watch Bosh play still but looking forward to more blue midrange as that's what real Legacy is haha.
Legacy is an interesting world where being disruptive as well as presenting a clock is one of the most effective strategies in the format. DnT and Burn take different approaches to the proven Izzet Delver strategy. One applies more pressure, the other applies more squeeze, and both are pretty solid at doing what they do.
Breaking news: BoshNRoll receives 42 donation leagues for Pox following round 1.
Who the heck is BoshNRoll? You mean PoxNRoll?
Finally, for all the mtg players who hate it when their opponents have cards in their hands!
Looking forward to this episode of Bosh’n University… no wait… Thrabe’n Roll?
I’m confused now!
It's me. I'm that friend :(
Thanks for the memorial Old Greeezy.

Why can I only like this once? More D&T on RUclips!
Came here from Shuffle Up and Play. Happy I found ya! Just got into legacy recently and am all in on DnT.
Welcome! Glad you’re here. :)

35:10 "at some point I will put a creature into play... But I would like them to have no mana or anything to do in this game first" lmao
Oh this game is beautiful. That Field of Ruin to shuffle their deck is hilarious

As a diehard death and taxes player can’t wait to see this video
Can't blame you for losing to format staple smallpox round 1. I was rooting for your opponent, pox is the coolest deck.
BOSH PACK! YEAH WE SMOKE EM! YEAH WE GOT EM! NO WE DONT PAY TAXES!
Woah, actual factual miracle entreat cards and CB and Clique.

How are we on the same wavelength again? I am almost done building this in paper.
I’m living in your future
In match 1, g3 you probably wanted to vial in yorion so that you can hold up karakas.
R3 g1 was beautiful
Sweet video, Phil!

City is when you play a land, not when a land comes into play.
@@BoshNRoll damn. I feel big dumb now, haha. Thanks!
How much value and time do you put in goldfishing a deck when you're brewing or tuning

Depends on the deck. But I’ll draw hands and goldfish almost anything. It’s just worth less for D&T than it is for Storm (or whatever)

Has anyone found a spot for Battle cards in these old formats? it'd be cool to see an attempt from a youtuber
I think the title card for this video is not eye catching enough. I was looking for it and my eyes just like passed right over it multiple times

Here for "bad" white cards.
I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no easy to pilot deck in legacy, yes even burn

I play DnT in a 1v1 commander format. It is a very fun (for me) and challenging deck to play and play against.
