I am happy to say I am a proud new owner of a panther platform. 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis GS with 9700 original miles. It will be my daily driver and I absolutely love the car.
Greetings lady from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 I follow Panzer Platform and other you tubers which are Panther owners, all my cars was Crown vics and Mercury Grand Marquis
Wasn't my first car, but it was my wisest. Also your presentation is very impressive for someone your age. Honestly only the youth of your voice and face give away that you are not a professional. Thank you, I found you from panzer platform he mentioned you and him worked together as old and young and I appreciate your work.
I have to ask how do you find it on snowy roads and cope with it. I grew up with snow and ice and live with it as well so I have learned to cope but I would like to hear your thoughts. I put sandbags in the trunk and have a good amount of experience in controlling slides and getting cars unstuck personally. A tough blanket under the tires, kitty litter or sand, having a pull strap in my car for any random truck to use, and of course also having some contingency for being stuck for some time. (Many people have died this way going off the road and freezing over days so it is a very real consideration here.) Again I would be very interested in learning what you do also because I think I could perhaps learn things as we are very similar, car ans conditions. Thank you. And sick J turn lol
I had a CVPI and I really regretted getting it. They are almost always beat the heck out of. When I had my CVPI the paint was in terrible condition, it was starting to rust fairly bad, and the intake manifold gasket was shot. This car has treated me so much better. I recommend going with an LX. They are so much comfier and treated a lot better. Especially if you can get it from an estate sale or from the original owner. They're usually owned by older people who aren't *usually* jumping curbs and hitting the governor all the time. Anywho that's just my two cents. Good luck in your hunt for the perfect panther. P.S: There's also the Lincoln Town Car to look out for too. They Are a beautiful beast as well
Joshua Morehead I’m 17 and my first car is a retired police detective one and I absolutely love it. He is right about the cop ones being beat on though. I got lucky with mine and due to it being a detective car it was kept in better shape as opposed to patrol ones (no cage, no holes drilled in roof, lower mileage, etc.) if you can find one that’s in good shape and the price isn’t bad I’d say go for it. (Might take time to find a nice one). With mine I spent more money modifying it to look more sporty and muscle like similar to a mercury marauder but that’s just me. It’s fun to drive and I’m the only person at my school with a cop car besides real cops themselves lol. When compared to the LX it’s got a little more oomph to it overall. The LX however has more luxurious options (Leather seats, cruise control, CD player, etc.) really depends on your preference. Personally I like the simplicity of the cop one better and that it is a bit better designed to handle a beating.
love theses cars .. i have 06 grand marquis .looks sweet with the windows tinted . i also painted my calipers red and bought a cheap 4.6 hi performance emblem off amazon fir 15 each and there red , so that will the aftermarket 17in wheels i got red cvalipers , looks awsome !!!
I have one for my first car. It is amazing, for a young person a V8, rear wheel drive car with a big back seat is a must
I got a 2011 Grand Marquis as my first car. It is very good in many ways
2:08 that was a straight flex move right there
