Really nice rod I got one a few months ago for a baitcast setup and have not been able to put it down .I have caught perch and jack pike and the rod preformed really well.Thank you Andrew as you recommended this rod to me a while ago.😁👍
I agree - it's a great rod. I have that casting version. It's my favorite UL boat rod. It cast's nice and far and rod action is great for perches (and pikes). It might be good also for trout, but my trout fishing places are so tight that this rod is too long for most of those, so I have used it very little to trout. I ordered also that longer one. Haven't fished it not so much, but it feels a lot of stiffer and action of it is more moderate. So far it hasn't felt as great as this 7,5 feet version.
thanks for all the content . i was wondering when will you post a video about barbel/feeder fishing?like rods, reels, rigs etc all the good stuff. Cheers
Hello. I am looking for a new rod. What do you think. Is it better to buy this one or Teton? I also look at Tsurinoya Elf ajing. I fish in Greece, mackerel and horse mackerel is my main target. Also sometimes baracuda and small tuna, all under 5-6 kg. Here they only sell Savage Gear Sg4, Sgs2 and Westin rods. I can buy anything in 250-300 Euro range. If you think there is something better for my fishing. I need long life rod. Like 8 feet and up to 15g. Mostly I fish with softbaits 2-3 g and smaller metal jigs.
@@AndrewsKnots Thank you :) i am thinking of buying longer version of this rod. Which is 8 feet and up to 15. It costs around 150 Euro with customs, I do not think there is something better for this price out there. About Tsurinoya Elf ajing, I do not know, it has lower PE rating. Than this one and as I said I need light rod but with power to land bigger fish too
Although I started fishing 50 years ago, I am pretty new to lure fishing. I really enjoy not having to carry loads of stuff around as I have a really bad back. I came across a video on BFS lure fishing with special baitcater reels and rods. It strikes me as a very expensive way of presenting a light lure, what are your opinions? Am I missing something?:)
I personally can't see any advantages of baitcasting setup for light lure fishing. A good spinning setup will cast better, weigh less, less likely to produce 'bird's nest' etc. Maybe BFS can be smaller (in terms of reel being closer to the blank and smaller rod guides). For heavier stuff - yes, baitcasting has its place. Cheers
Hi! Very intresting video! Thanks! Have you got any information abuot Tsurinoya Elf Ajing -S752UL version? This rod casting weight is 0,6 - 7 g, and it has got tubular top and Fuji parts also. I like Kuying SuperLite, but Tsurinoya rod is also exciting. Can you help to me a choosing? Thanks a lot!
Amazing rod. I use it with #0.4 PE line and it comfortable to me from 1.2-1.5 grams with lure like the javastick 4 cm! But also you can easily do agressive animation 70mm rigge for example. I read that this rod has a blank from MC K.G. Ligths
I don't know if it's good idea to spend 80 pounds for a chinese rod from Aliexpress when in the same time for this money you can buy Daiwa Prorex XR or E which for sure is better quality.
The choice is yours obviously. I would choose this Kuying every day over Daiwa, if you are comparing it to 1-9 g. one. Even though that Daiwa has a nice and crisp blank, I would say it's up 6-7 g. max. Then the reel seat is too far from the end. Then I know 2 different people broke tips (2 each, I think).
@@AndrewsKnots Thank you for your opinion Andrew. In this case I'm talking about the 7ft4 1-7g but anyway i think so they don't have a big difference with the 1-9gr one. I order the Daiwa one because it was discounted from 125 to 90 pounds and from the description it looks like it's a decent quality but I'm still waiting to receive and try it . I'm afraid to trust a brand which is unknown from this side that if something happen to the rod you don't have any guarantee but as you said is up to me . Once i try it i will let you know if i make mistake or not .The only thing which makes me worried and i didn't check before ordering is the length of the handle from the seat to the end as you mentioned.
Re "if something happen to the rod", I can't predict the future but can tell a few facts from the past: -Kuying's support is great and I neved had a problem to order a spare tip -Daiwa changes/stops making low/medium range rods every year and I been told that spare tip order can be a problem on such rods.
Hi Yordan, i have a Kuying Teton ul 1.92m 1-4gr. And i can confirm its a really good quality rod with nice reel holder and eyes and good blank/action. Every eye is straight on the blank. I just cant see any difference between a european domestic or this rod its perfectly build. I would not recommend cheap rods from China but this one with this brand is just very good quality. And shipping is very good too, got it send in a thic tube with much bubblewrap around the rod. And arrived in 13 days(even faster then some European webshops). I dont think there is any quality difference between Kuying or Daiwa rods they are both good quality and probably both made in China.
@@reaguurder1285 Hi Reaguurder , I did check and i read about this brand and i watch a videos one guy broke his tip when he was casting with the Teton and he didn't overload it but then there is also a lot of good reviews so i believe that is a good quality rod and i can confirm that their customer service is very good because i had a chat with them and they were super responsive but unfortunately now after the Brexit we have to pay 20% tax and i didn't order it because the price it was over 100 pounds with the tax.

I can only comment on this rod as I use it. I believe, it should work well. Tsu Elf ajing are super rods too.
