One thing I would like to add, don’t come to a news conference, and appear on camera and audio, If you don’t have your notes and you’re not prepared. The people see what’s going on here. The truth will prevail.
The Chief absolutely needed to be in the EOC. He CAN appoint a Deputy, but that would be unusual. Why? Because the Chief still has the RESPONSIBILITY for everything that goes on. They are trying to cover up and divert attention from their culpability by releasing this footage. We now know that the electric company REPEATEDLY told MPD that all wires were de-energized, but it was never passed to the officers in the field. Obviously, another failure of MPD Command. The Chief and Mayor are morally, civilly, and likely criminally responsible.

I recall the chief of police saying that he was at a separate emergency command center, setup by him, as Lahaina burned. He deliberately didn’t go to the emergency command center setup by the state which prevented him and his staff from working/coordinating with other agencies during the fire. His decision cost many souls their lives, there is still no accurate count because the chief is also the coroner and able to hide the true numbers. Sounds like criminal intent to me. Thank you for keeping the spotlight on Lahaina. Bless these brave men for having the courage to speak up. I don’t understand how is that evil chief, major or governor still have their jobs and haven’t been run out of town.

With all the people and animals that lost their lives horrifically it still pisses me off.
Did you get a chance to see Eric West's video w/ Tyler yet? Tyler lived at the top of Lahainaluna below the bypass and he said people were screaming and crying trying to escape from the fire as it was engulfing the neighborhood. He saw a dog running on fire.
He also said that a military fleet ( 1 warship, 2 submarines and an air craftcarrier) were parked outside of Lahaina on the days leading up to the fire.
So where were they when people needed them the most as they ran for their lives trying to escape from the fire? Why is General Hara not being questioned?
@@Josephine-sm2db good questions. I did see that interview. Unfortunately I don’t think a lot of victims are comfortable with coming forward and given many are receiving aid - I don’t blame them. Not everyone has the option to do the right thing let alone disclose sensitive info about that day.

It's very telling that the cheif wasn't there that day, nor does he want to talk about why people were turned back towards the fire.
And the major's body language. He just didn't want to be there at that press conference. And his head was down as if he was hiding something. Very troubled looking man.
Chief P said he had another job to do. What other job? And how did the leaders not know until the evening? And it wasn't a 20 min event as the Governor claimed. And reports are in that HECO told police 18 times that the lines were dead. If it was arranged that all leaders would be elsewhere on that day, then perhaps talking to their executive admins would help connect the dots.

The Truth is known to those of us who have done our homework. The evidence of DEW attack to create "smart city" needs to continue to be disseminated to the unaware public. We need REAL journalists to make time to investigate this and share the info as widely as Humanly possible.

Soil samples should be taken by the residents ONLY to see if there are any contaminants like the authorities are saying. It should be done on all properties. Do it on your own and take the samples to a soil analyst you can trust.
By the way, residents are saying their properties are being sprayed by the authorities. What is in the "spray"? It could contaminate the soil samples!

If the Kula fire started at noon. then wouldn't the chief have already been in the EOC? Or in communication with them at that time? So a lot of them would know where the police chief was. He should have been in constant communication from that fire.

Interesting how the power poles were blown over yet the tall trees were not touched. It would be interesting to find out if certain ones were tampered with to cause downed power lines. I mean look at the size of those poles and they failed at the bottom in the same place on each pole. I wonder if the downed poles coincide with intersections that would cause a bottle neck. Keep asking questions Lahaina
Someone posted a dash cam video of the poles falling like toothpicks, one after the other in specific intersection. If I can find it again, I'll add to this reply.

I'm from the UK,so just an observer,but in what I have seen since the disaster has truly been a complete lack of organisation,competence,care,respect or love for the Lahania residents shown by the governance. On top of that a complete denial of acceptance of any miss failings on their behalf in handling the crisis is all they seem concerned about..
I would have expected the Maui EMA director, MPD Chief, MFD Chief, HIEMA director, Maui Electric rep, Weather Service rep, 911 head, HI national guard rep and maybe a military rep to all be at the EOC so that all entities know the total operational status of the emergency, make appropriate decisions based on the situation and relay that to the organizations they were in charge of. This would ensure that every organization had the same operational view of the situation. Everyone would know if the electric line were live or not, if roads were blocked, where to send firefighters, etc. Organizations could have coordinated in the EOC such as having the police direct people to go into the ocean and have the Coast Guard or military fish them out. Its obvious that this did not happen and because of this, good front line people were not able to make the right decisions to help the residents of Lahaina.
It doesn’t make sense that none of them can tell anyone exactly where they were at the time!

My question is, has anyone spoken with a cop, that was on-duty, directing the traffic during that fire? I'm just so shocked, that it's been 3+ months since this tragedy, and still, soooooo many questions and red flags continue. Also, how is the rest of Maui (the citizens) reacting to all of this? Is everyone upset? Or does it seem that they are ' moving on with life' ???? Thank you for all you are doing and reporting. Wonderful job.

We are used to next level of corruption here but still know it’s more than suspicious it needs to be investigated and prosecuted. Lot’s of work going on but locals and allies are up against the WEF system that runs most of the world so it’s all uphill battles.
I just hope the people don’t take their hush money because if they do then there are no lawsuits the criminals will continue their crimes
Traci i highly value your take on this tragedy for a number of reasons. You're closer to it than I most likely will ever be, you rationalize all your thoughts with sound logic and honestly you are not the typical "conspiracy theorist". I have been suspicious of this the entire time. I was suspicious about the rona from the jump. As soon as my super straight laced cousin started asking questions I knew there was more to it. I look at this no different.

Hawaii is showing everyone in the US how you calmly, methodically, and relentlessly persisted in identifying who did what, and who failed to do their jobs. Accountability is vital! If a mayor has no idea what's going on, he shouldn't be mayor!
Hi Tracy, thanks for the update. I did want to let everyone know that one of the biggest problems we have today with politicians and public officials is precisely why the people would have residency requirements. Who wants a police chief that's always going to "conferences" and all kinds of trips? In today's day and age Congress does not need to convene in DC - they could be online. I'd say the problems are these people don't want to be on the islands - they are not loyal enough to understand the position they have. They are hired to be there when emergencies happen. In the days of old, the leaders in a community would always coordinate their absentee status to have a back up. This is looking too obvious that this was a setup - we need to:
1. Demand these people to tell us where they were, why they did not coordinate their absence to ensure a sufficient individual was left in charge and that not all important emergency personnel and high ranking people were not absent at a given time.
2. Why did these people take office.
3. Do these people understand what their absence can mean in an emergency?
It looks like they were derelict of duty like most public officials across the country. There is something weird about "public officials" needing to leave the islands so much. If your job is about a jurisdiction- you have to stay put for most of your time. And with a place like Hawaii - why would one leave so much? Traveling a lot has gotten out of hand - looks like the officials need to stay home in 15 minute communities rather than the populous - this fire should should set a precedent for all government officials - what in heck are they all absent during the fire? How often do they leave the islands - they were derelict of duty - they have explaining to do and their job is on the line - the community would fire them all if they could right now. Those people in "power" turned their backs on the people they supposedly serve - do they really expect the community to give them a cookie like so many reluctantly did when Biden visited? Public servant status should mean they are being watched and checked for corruption, conspiracy and above all loyalty to the community these people serve.
Look at any large airport in America - the place is filthy from people from out of town. If it was their own house - would they have loyalty to the airport and keep it clean for company? Of course if they do not want to be embarrassed in public. It's disgusting to witness first hand the people you have in charge of your community to not only turn their back on you, but to seemingly get away with it without criminal prosecution. Why did these people take office? I really want them to be honest.

Obviously the decision by the Chief not to be in the EOC was wrong and the person he put in charge failed. Police should have at least requested that the lines be turned off then they would have known that the power was already off hours ago. HECO should have been there to help clear the road out of there.
I ask this question every time because I can’t get an answer, did they find the buses and the 2000 kids?

Hearts go out to you Maui …..and NO we haven’t forgotten what happened there. Just because TV stations aren’t covering this atrocity, doesn’t mean anything…..only old people watch tv news anyway. The younger generation uses social media almost exclusively.
If you want to see how a place operates during an emergency……….that really cares for its citizens …….check out Iceland as they wait for more earthquakes and possible eruptions. They’ve evacuated hundreds, pausing mortgages during this evacuation period, are building a high berm to redirect flow of lava (building it started immediately, right now, chop chop double time) not waiting for red tape slowdowns, paying for their lodging during the duration, and even thinking of their mental health during this stressful time. That’s what healthy looks like .
