Keep the Levi positivity rolling. Can only add to his momentum
Campbell has never given praise to anyone that doesn’t deserve it. Levi was injured his first year had surgery his second year managed to come back last year. He’s fully healthy. I believe Dan Campbell.
Levi is legit going to be a Stud and a huge part of this D line this season as long as he remains healthy. This isn’t just some training camp hype. He is DOMINATING playing with the 1s.
It's really not difficult to understand. This is the 1st season as a pro that Levi got to train for football, instead of rehabbing. The 1ST ONE. So the coaches and Probowl player who block him everyday pass out superlatives about his play. I just don't get how people who offer commentary on the team talk about a player without giving the whole picture. He's HEALTHY NOW. That's the story, not that he STUNK his 1st year 3 years when he was in such pain reporters were writing that he could barely walk correctly. It is difficult to say a guy was hurt (which is true) instead of saying he stunk? You could even say he was subpar because he was hurt. That's the reality of it.
Not in this society! In this online society of no face, just go nuclear negativity instead of trying to understand the why.
This guy was so highly heralded when he was drafted by Brad Holmes! If I remember correctly
Totally agree with both of you guys statements. I actually watch this pod because I’m a huge Lions fan, but Dery is super critical of our own guys. He gives surface level takes, and goes nuclear on our players even if they’re young, missed time due to injury, or have missed camp for suspension(Jamo). He made me wanna throw up when he goes on a bears podcast and trashes Jamo. Playing footsies with the bears podcasters as if this isn’t this guys 1st full offseason. Just keep listening… he’s just warming up on the hooker hate,too. Another young guy coming off an injury who’s learning in his 1st camp. He has the makings of a good show, but it would be nice if he would offer a more well rounded perspective.
@MarylandManson29 he was a highly touted 2nd rd pick. Drafted ahead of Alim. That injury took away 3 years from him, but he's back with a vengeance. If he stays healthy, he's going to b a menace

Correction - Levi was injured in college. His college injury to his back haunted him until he got back fusion. Now, miraculously, Levi is finally healthy and in shape.
The Villain Brad Holmes was the only GM to draft heavily from the Pac-12 during the pandemic. Levi was Brad's first shot a finding Aaron Donald 2.0. Wingo is Brad's second shot. Been pulling to Levi who was such an inside force in college w/Huskies congrats on rehabing his way back

This is Onwuzurike first offseason of not rehabbing from his injuries and focusing on getting stronger and working on his skills.. will be rooting for him
Additional thought on Hooker being used is he needs to earn that QB2 position for that to even be considered. As of now he is still QB3.

I know it’s hard to believe Levi could be good, but with his back injury it may have had nerve involvement making his legs weaker year 1. That takes awhile to rehab, so last year he may have still been getting back in football shape. This is his year to make or break. Obviously pump the breaks on $20mil for now, but he might be a solid rotational pass rusher
I think if a tenured pro bowl teammate who he's never played with before says that he's that caliber of guy...I'd think he's being more objective than superfluous...and I'd be damn happy about it, rather than being cynical...but that's just me....oh yeah...let's not forget to mention that the best gm in football wanted to trade into the first round of the draft for him the year he was drafted
@@davide3149 The potential is absolutely there, and I’ve been rooting for Levi this whole time just as a human being overcoming such a tough injury. I just can’t fully get behind him being a top DT without seeing it, but it’s a possibility. I don’t think his health will be as much of an issue as others are saying either, but he’s just missed out on so many reps in his early career. I’d put his sacks at like O/U 3.5, what would you pick?

I don’t think that was meant literally. I think Zeitler was just giving Levi respect for how he’s been practicing. The news is how great Levi is looking, not what a player says to the press without much thought after a tough practice.
@@lesterwhite8032 Yes you are correct. It's just bothers me that every year doing camp they overrated these players, and when the season starts they disappear. I want to see do Levi succeed , but we have they wait and see.
