"the show is called Arrow, not Arrow's annoying friends". well they changed it in the later seasons, there's like 10 minutes of oliver each episode.

This show was way more interesting when Oliver was acting like an edgy teen and was a homicidal psychopath. Like the first season.
I mean season 1 and 2 where the Best seasons of any television series I have seen, good character development interesting plot/lore element's.
Then these fucks gave me season 3/4 and I was so fucking tilted. The villains actors where decent, but became more unrealistic. (I understand it's a comic book show and it's a loose adaptation) here is my grip with it though their motivations are not at all relevant to the story. Other than them being kinda of assholes with mustache twirling oh I want to kill everyone and rule the world cause I am just evil for being evil.
Legit fuck off Arrow. Then season 5 wasn't that bad then season 6 got better season 7 was decent, but season 8 was back to kinda trying recapture season 1/2 which made it fall flat a bit for me since it was suppose to be a lot about pre crisis.

@@arabhero10 I suppose so. I've read a lot of books with antiheros and villains as the MCs, only to have them redeemed and turned to the good side. I thoroughly enjoy it when a character gets more and more twisted to the point where they are past saving and can only sacrifice themselves to redeem themselves of their sins. I thought Arrow was going down a similar path in the beginning.
The show should be called Arrow's Annoying Friends, it would be more suitable for what we actually get in later seasons. They made Oliver a worse fighter to make his friends look better.
It was overall one of the weaker shows, and even its strong seasons weren't the best. Particularly when they started to run out of island flashbacks. And the giving him villains from other people's rogue's galleries. I'm sure the Green Arrow had plenty of interesting enemies of his own in the comics that the series never used. I enjoyed it overall but I can't deny it's got a lot of problems.
I liked the show, but now that Hulu doesn't have CW content anymore I'm probably a few seasons behind. The last season I saw was (I believe) the first season, maybe second, with Mr. Terrific and the rest of the expanded team.

In addition to being a murderer, Oliver's pet hamster had a ball recording incredibly important plot twists so as to use said recordings to frame others for the deadly crimes that the hamster actually committed.
On top of which, the hamster set it all up so that the dog and the cat would take the fall.
“Arrows Annoying Friends” should be what the show is called after season 5, cuz holy crap the cast all around just becomes so incredibly unlikable after OG team arrow leaves
Take a shot every time this show says “vigilante” or puts an unnecessary “The” in front of someone’s name, and if you’re still alive after all that alcohol, take a shot every time Oliver whines about his friends getting hurt when they help him then makes up with them by saying he needs his friends for him to be at his best.

When I heard them call out Thea at the beginning, I was like, "hey, that's my dog's name!" Then I remembered that this show is where I got the name, but it's been so long since Thea was a regular that I no longer associate my dog with this character.

Why do so many characters do this? Someone's at their loved ones grave, or looking at their urn.. Who the TF do you think they are talking to morons, sure they aren't alive, but talking to a grave of your loved ones is kinda something people do.

He said he hasn’t watched anything past this episode. Sooo even if he does get to that , I doubt it would be any time soon. This show goes downhill from this point, particularly in season 4(the worst most unwatchable unbearable season of Arrow), Season 5 is good but then goes back down.
so yea I’m sure it’ll take awhile to get through this(once great) mess of a show. And that’s not even counting the rest of the Arrowverse shows you gotta watch before getting to crisis.
@@MajinLordVegeta I know of the roller coaster of quality that Arrow is, I thought he was joking about not watching past the climb, plus someone on the writing team has watched it (These are scripted and I'm 99% sure they have script writers), even if he hasn't watched past it there are other fans of the arrowverse who watch only one or two shows and the only other time they watch the others is the crossover.
Arrow is my favourite show and I've watched it through like 7 times in the past 3 years, plus season 3 is my favourite season PLUS this is my favourite episode. I loved seeing the errors and stuff that's just weird.

Biggest thing wrong with an Arrow episode: it's the show Arrow. Man, I dont know why I stuck around with that soap opera disguised as a super hero show for as long as I did, but when I got out of it, I *really* got out of it.
Lol right? All I can say now is that I'm glad it wasn't a complete waste of time because I got to watch a sins video out of it lol
It ended well as a series though, so honestly I was kinda glad I stuck around for the ride

Glad i'm not the only one. I deluded myself into thinking the series was good then something in my brain just clicked and I started to hate the show and the only reason I could figure was that every season it was the same stupid drama.
Oliver keeps secrets from friends and family to keep them safe, friends and family get hurt because Oliver kept secrets, Oliver learns the value of friendship and that he needs help because he isn't the badass the show wants you to think ( can't tell if the enemies are getting stronger or Oliver is getting more terrible at doing everything), something dangerous happens to friends that wanted to help and even though they are cool about it Oliver starts pushing people out again , and repeat for next season
I have no idea what season I gave up on because of how it all bled into one unbearably long mess.

Arrow went downhill after this episode. Season 4 was absolute garbage. They turned it around with season 5 which was fantastic but then the show just coasted from there. Like it wasn’t bad like season 4 but it wasn’t great like seasons 1-2 and 5
I'd agree season 6 and the 2nd half of season 7 weren't the best.. but you cannot deny the first half of season 7 with prison oli isn't some of the best arrow we've ever got! And season 8 was mostly fantastic short of a bit too much future stuff!
Overall the show is pretty gd not masterpiece like Daredevil or punisher but still above average

Nah, fam, it's actually Oliver 20 years from the furture who injected himself with nanomachines to appear younger, he killed and replaced his younger self to fix the mistakes of his past, but got amnesia along the way because plot. That's what _really_ happened.

I have no idea, I stopped watching around season 6. I was just poking fun at how convoluted some story lines can get with shows, and it seems you recognize that as well since you asked if I was being serious. Haha
In TV sins early days you guys did all the main Arrowverse shows. With the addition of Batwoman and Black Lightning, I feel like you should do those pilots as well.
2:32 i would've loved to play *the Birdman* here but i'm just lazy, so i'm gonna correct you only on this part, In the comics star labs appears to every city not just Central but in the Flash Show it is reveal thanks to Joe West that Harrison Wells was from Starling City that's where star labs started but he relocated everything in Central after the death of his wife, Now we know that it's Eobard Thawne, who decided to kill Harrison and his wife to take star labs and bring it to Central city so he would be able to cause the accident that created Flash in 2014 instead of 2020 when the flash was born in Thawne original Timeline.
6:41 ok none of them ever met Ras al ghul at this point, they only know about legends, they dpn't know about his fighting skills, what they do know is that he decided since season 2 to not kill anyone ; He didn't even killed Merlyn who is also responsable of Tommy's Death and Slade who killed his mom, So they are right to worry about Oliver since he is a murderer who stop the killing VS the guy who train Merlyn and didn't make any vow.

Ahh yes. After this the show never got any momentum. Just some good episodes and moments sprinkled here and there with no real great storyline to act as a backbone(except for Season 5 I guess)
Season 5 is a pretty huge "except" ^^
It's still in my top 5 favorite Arrowverse seasons, with Arrow seasons 1&2 and The Flash seasons 1&2.
And I guess Constantine season 1 was pretty great too, and so were Legends of Tomorrow seasons 2&3.
(Even Supergirl season 4 managed to end on a high note with the arrival of Lex friggin' Luthor out of fucking nowhere)
@@randallflagg3700 The addition of Constantine to Legends has greatly improved the show IMO. They kind of dropped the ball with season 4 but season 5 was a fantastic return to form.
@@DarkXork Constantine joined Legends? I really have to get back to that show, it really annoyed me that his own show didn't continue after the horrible hiccup they had with it's production and his one off appearance in Arrow didn't seem to lead to anything.

In fairness, Batman stole several villains from others first (see: Solomon Grundy). Also, they couldn't use Batman at this time, so why not use the best thing about him on a hero who literally started as a copy of Batman?
I started really getting sick of this series around season 4 or 5. How many times can somebody want to destroy Seatle? I mean, Starling City, I mean Star City...
That was pretty much one of the issues with The Flash, too. I mean, come on, the Big Bads of the first three seasons were ALL speedsters. That's boring!
Pretty sure you mean season 4... I don't think anyone ever gave up on Arrow right when they finally reached season 5, which ispossibly the best of the entire show.
And the big bad of season 5 doesn't care about the city, he just wants to break Oliver, which was a nice change of pace.
@@krizwatcher - Amen. The first 2 seaons of The Flash were really, *really* good in my opinion... but I really wished that instead of another speedster for season 3, we'd finally gotten The Rogues united under Captain Cold as a legit threat and the Big Bads of the season.
The Arrowverse versions of Captain Cold, Heatwave, Golden Glider, Weather Wizard
(Mark Mardon), Mirror Master, both Tricksters (Mark Hamill as James Jesse is so much fun; and they could have improved on Axel Walker), Abra Kadabra (it was such a waste to have David Dastmalchian play him for only one episode of season 3) and Captain Boomerang
(he didn't start too bad in the first Arrow/Flash crossover, but got wasted in Arrow season 5, would have much rather seen him as part of the team in The Flash)
@@randallflagg3700 There is SUCH a treasure-trove of villains from the Flash comics that they could have made better use of. One that comes to mind is Spin, a one-arc villain from Wally West's era. And Mirror Master and Top were criminally underused in this show. At least the Thinker made a great Season 4 Big Bad.
@@krizwatcher speedster villains might've been boring, but at least they didn't have to handwave the fact that every other villain without super speed can still manage to get away from Barry.

I give you a sin, but that is because you didn't sin that they didn't take the care to make the stunt double groom himself properly to match the actor, so the scene's fluidity is shot to hell.

He was surprised that Thea and Malcolm were together because both of them told Oliver that they weren't together. Thea said she wanted to hang out there, and Malcolm said that he was just spying on her and he wasn't around her at all.

You should have sinned the fact that during the fight scene you can clearly distinguish Ra’s double. I know this is a TV Show, but they could have edited the fight in a way that you didn’t see his face or his body during the double’s attacks.

Making Batman villains into Arrow villains is a cliche that began in the comics when the Riddler was moved to being a Green Arrow villain in the early 2000s, guys. It didn't just start with that Firefly episode in the first season. Also, in the 1966 Batman TV series, they used a Green Arrow villain in the second season, called Clock King. Batman co-creator Bill Finger even co-write the episodes that he appeared in.
All I needed from this episode was a loose, vague reference to Bruce Wayne. They didn't need to say his name or anything; just some sort of acknowledgement of his existence. That's all I needed to quiet the "Fuck Arrow. It's just a rip off of Batman since they couldn't make a TV show about him!" voice that was in my head from the start of this show to this very day. Jesus-effing-Christ!
