Well, the 9 Day Run is essentially a speedrun category, albeit a very old one and it is the only run where the use of glitches is not needed at all. It was the original record for speedrunning back when the game was young. Now the game can be finished as early as Day 6, and to do it you have to clear all areas in a single day. The Impact Site is the only exception to this because of the Positron Generator.
Wow man what a trip down memory lane... I am 21 now but I remember playing this game when I was realllly little. I was so young that I literally could not comprehend strategy or objectives in video games so I would just run around planting and picking people out of the ground. No clue why i thought about this game on this random night, but great video lol.

Same, although I was shit when I played pikmin, I remember playing it like it was yesterday, I was 8 years old and my babysitter came to my house, she brought some old gamecube/Wii games and one of them was pikmin 2 (yes it's the sequel, but I never knew the franchise and it was the first time I ever played a pikmin game), we started to play with it for a little bit and even played 2 player mode. Nearly 8 years later, I find the first game at an old game store and play the OG for the first time, of course I got the bad ending for not having good strategy but I got the hang of it, a year later I find the sequel and actually finished it

I think you meant Majora Mask. Ocarina of time have no time limit, you can freely travel of time between 7 years in younger Link and 7 years after in adult Link.
Hey, I'm doing a Pikmin playthrough as well currently, and I was wondering if you could help a guy out. Around 24:20 you do the swarming throw speed glitch, which I know the basics of but I'm complete garbage at actually executing. You got any tips? Solid playthrough btw, you certainly know your way around the game, lol, my playthrough is nowhere near as experienced as yours.
Honestly, I don't really put much thought into it. I simply rotate the C-stick and mash the A button as fast as I can without a second thought. You just gotta practice the C-stick maneuvering by having the pikmin be as close to Olimar as possible and work on your button mashing skills. Of course, some people might just have naturally faster thumbs than others. However, there is the index finger method where you lay your controller on a table or your lap and twitch your index finger. I personally use my thumb but others might have a faster index finger. Now I know the origins of this game. I've been playing Pikmin 3 Deluxe recently and now know that it was Captain Olimar at the begining that started it all.
Its always sureal watching this game get slammed through like it's cake. 9 year old me would have been in awe. My cousin and i weren't aware of what parts olimar was talking about, so we would just gather as many as possible, thinking it was a percentage thing... We never saw a good ending lmao, we were pretty bad at it
This makes me miss my GameCube I used to play on, it had some of the greatest games on there. Smash bros Melee, Sonic Heroes, etc. Ah, the nostalgic memories.
they definitely made the wii version of this game harder. On that water stage, many of the big bugs has the little bugs surrounding them and awake, so it took time to clear them (if you want less pikmin deaths like I do).
Me and my brother would take turns playing this and I miss having the gamecube itself, it was so fun playing pikmin I would love to have a gamecube back and finish this again with my brother.

Now I know the origins of this game. I've been playing Pikmin 3 Deluxe recently and now know that it was Captain Olimar at the begining that started it all.

Its always sureal watching this game get slammed through like it's cake. 9 year old me would have been in awe. My cousin and i weren't aware of what parts olimar was talking about, so we would just gather as many as possible, thinking it was a percentage thing... We never saw a good ending lmao, we were pretty bad at it

I remember playing this at a Walmart some years ago it look so fun I knew my mom wasn't going to buy me this but it was fun trying anyway
they definitely made the wii version of this game harder. On that water stage, many of the big bugs has the little bugs surrounding them and awake, so it took time to clear them (if you want less pikmin deaths like I do).
I feel like the Positron Generator (day 4 Crash site) must be every speedrunner's nemesis.
