Incredible, so well made documentary... loved it. I wonder why there is only 133 likes including mine. It deserves more.

Football was invented in Cambridge, England.
Not China. You could argue that cavemen throughout the evolutionary process kicked something for leisure but the sport itself was invented in Cambridge.

For everyone saying "It's football, not soccer.":
~The term “soccer” was invented in Britain as an abbreviation of “association football.” The British have actually used “soccer” up until some 30 years ago. And in the 1960s-80s, “soccer” and “football” were interchangeable in Britain. After soccer reached North America, Americans came up with their own game, now known as simply “football” in the United States and “American football” in the rest of the world. Association football, in the meantime, remained known as “soccer” in America. The British stopped using “soccer” about 30-40 years ago because of its American connotations. And now, because “soccer” is mainly used in the United States, it is often perceived as an American invention, which it is not.~
It is in fact both Soccer and Football. :)

I have to be Put Right Again with your "self deluded knowledge" ... So I will Educate You!. In the formative years when The World Game of FOOTBALL was first organized in mid 1800s in England. It was The English Upper Class (You know, the one's who colonized you) who first played/organized The Game of FOOTBALL (The World Game of FOOTBALL). English Upper Class people liked to Nick-Name people and organizations so when the governing body for Football - "The FOOTBALL Association" was mentioned, they would say "soccer". The other game of Rugby oval ball handling (established in the southern town of Rugby) had the governing organization called The Rugby Union ... Those English Upper Class fools called it "Raggah".
In the late 1800s The English Upper Class, brought Rugby Union to the North American collage system ... Over some twenty years you changed some rules of play and turned into your silly grid iron game! So in reality, you should call it "Raggah" or American Rugby! go and do some research and you will see that I am Right!.
Now, The World Game of FOOTBALL in North America ... yes the English Upper Class did bring The World Game of FOOTBALL to North America BUT they nick-named it as ;-/soccer;-/
Another way it came to North America, at the same time was this ... from England/across Britain into the rest of Europe, they all played FOOTBALL ...those european immigrants came over and still played The World Game.
At the same time via The British Empire, Football entered North America from Central/South American Countries as they played FOOTBALL or as they said "Futbol"
The World Game of FOOTBALL has been in North America for A Long Time ... The first World FOOTBALL governing body in The U.S. (in the late 1800s) was called The North American FOOTBALL Association!
So The World Name, for The World Game is FOOTBALL ...fact!.
