    Had a 2002 1.3L auto for 14yrs, BEST car i ever had! I've had many cars in my time. Just change the oil BEFORE 5,000m,clean the PCV every 4yrs with the coolant YES....coolant & it'll last! I used Prestone every 4yrs along with Magnatec oil 5w30,spark plugs,fresh power steering fluid & air filter. All that i get all of the time is 49mpg best & ave 35mpg town. Very little rust indeed,the beam under the rear can go bad BUT 3x a year i spray everywhere & i mean everywhere....underneath front & back as well as under the engine plus brake calipers,shocks,coil springs,bolts, nuts etc with WD40 or GT86. Never failed an MOT or advised on rust in it's life. Sold it 2 yrs ago & the person i sold it to i do still keep in touch with....another 2 yrs later it has ZERO rust issue.

    My dad had this car, the engine blew up on my first open day at a university. He would later get a another engine and get it fixed for £300. The car was very smooth afterwards and had a proper torque converter automatic gearbox which was much superior to the second generation Yaris with its multimode semi auto gearbox

    One question, how much pressure do the tires have in the front and in the front?

    • @philipmarsden7104
      @philipmarsden7104 Год назад +1

      Up to 160 Km/h: 2.3 Bar front, 2.1 Bar rear.

    • @qwertz4035
      @qwertz4035 Год назад

      normaly front 2.3Bar and rear 2.1/2.2Bar but i already drove with 3Bar and also 2.7Bar and its quite fine for hypermilling 😂
      Just make sure that you have the recommend tire pressure when its cold/rainy so you have good grip. But in good road conditions it has all the grip it needs if you have realtively new/good tires

    Max. fuel consumption in city?

    • @adriaudio6
      @adriaudio6 Год назад +2

      My yaris is also 1.3 vvt-i, it's about 8.1L for me, but I drive it like it's stolen, so I'd say if you drive it normally without flooring it nonstop you can go lower.
      I never got over about 8.2 so I'd say that's the max consumption.

    • @qwertz4035
      @qwertz4035 Год назад +1

      I also drive it like an idiot in the city but i have like ~6.7l/100km. I also just replaced the air filter which was quite dirty and cleaned the MAE wich was very dirty, aswell as the vvti system (filter + valve). I dont remember how the efficeny was before but it was an improvement in performance :D
