Had a 2002 1.3L auto for 14yrs, BEST car i ever had! I've had many cars in my time. Just change the oil BEFORE 5,000m,clean the PCV every 4yrs with the coolant YES....coolant & it'll last! I used Prestone every 4yrs along with Magnatec oil 5w30,spark plugs, fresh power steering fluid & air filter. All that i get all of the time is 49mpg best & ave 35mpg town. Very little rust indeed, the beam under the rear can go bad BUT 3x a year i spray everywhere & i mean everywhere....underneath front & back as well as under the engine plus brake calipers, shocks, coil springs, bolts, nuts etc with WD40 or GT86. Never failed an MOT or advised on rust in it's life. Sold it 2 yrs ago & the person i sold it to i do still keep in touch with....another 2 yrs later it has ZERO rust issue.
very nice! I do the same thing, but previous owner unfortunately no..(
I own the exact same car my Yaris is also silver 2004 with a 5 speed Manuel transmission and I love it with all my heart I haven't personally found a better cheap car which is more reliable than my Yaris
This Toyota has still good performances, wow! Love these retro test, more please!! Good video!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
One friend from catching cars try to get more used cars business, but its bit hard but we are always trying :)

@@TESTDRIVEFREAK I've been out of the road for a long time but now I'm back and always supporting you, Catching Cars and other channels where I feel like home. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
That top speed really shocked me that is very impressive
We had this yaris for 10 years but diesel 1.4 75hp. Absolutely economic and reliable car.
i had the 1.4 td engine for 5.5 years. Zero issues. 60 mpg all day every day. Proper fast, especially on motorways!
My dad had this car, the engine blew up on my first open day at a university. He would later get a another engine and get it fixed for £300. The car was very smooth afterwards and had a proper torque converter automatic gearbox which was much superior to the second generation Yaris with its multimode semi auto gearbox
Semi auto gearbox horrible
at 08:06 with that 10.8 sec. I have to make an observation from my personal experience with the same 05' exact car : keep the foot down in second gear till 100 and you ll be amazed each time you floor this lil engine :) Nice car
4:41 happy boi
Der hat für einen Kleinwagen aber viele Ablagen im Innenraum, das gefällt mir 🙂
9:50 Cutest racing car in the world. Ever.
Die Yaris P1 mit 1,3 vvti 87PS gehen sehr gut.
a small but very good car. good video. Happy third advent to you all.
Is this actually in Illinois? Is there a company that imports these to North America? Where was this from? Great video. Thank you.
lol not this was just license plate cover. video was filmed in switzerland and autobahn part is in germany
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK well I’ve been fooled 😆. I kinda suspected when you were driving it so fast. I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 and have an echo and love it so much I’d love to import a fancier one from Europe one day.
@@gryphon123456 i think you can import one from europe to US or Canada. in US law if car is older than 25 years old (before 1998 productionyear) and its legal. i dont know if canada has same law like US? for import non US spec vehicle.
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK it’s actually 15 years for Canada but the trouble is finding a service to do the import. All the ones available are only importing from Japan sadly.
I’m looking to buy this car! People selling them for 2x what they were 2 years ago in the UK
Ye, that's about right
Wht do you mean by saying 2x ?!
@Ahmed Qi double of what they were worth 2 years ago
Am interested, how much?
Kinda funny how this Echo/Yaris hatch has an Illinois plate but was never sold in the US
There’s plenty around
Can you make a video with passat 2005 1,9 tdi?
Good car,I want buy it
Can u try vvti 99cv always on Yaris?
i cant promise, its not easy to get specific cars for test, because how or where we get these cars for test, otherwise if i have millions subscribers and many views that would be possible :)
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK could you make a video with 500/panda/Y 1.3 mtj2 95cv? 🤩
I have it since 2015 2004 Toyota 1.3 Sol absolutely amazing car if my wife doesn't want me to change it i can use it until car or me die 😅
how many kilometers/miles does the car have ?
@@Agraenn 91.000+ km lowest for its age
@@cinarsinan amazing, have fun with it my friend
@@Agraenn thanks a lot
One question, how much pressure do the tires have in the front and in the front?
Up to 160 Km/h: 2.3 Bar front, 2.1 Bar rear.
normaly front 2.3Bar and rear 2.1/2.2Bar but i already drove with 3Bar and also 2.7Bar and its quite fine for hypermilling 😂
Just make sure that you have the recommend tire pressure when its cold/rainy so you have good grip. But in good road conditions it has all the grip it needs if you have realtively new/good tires
Sehr zuverlässig
Put lowering spring and some 15 inch and it will be dope and funne
Ciao per caso hai una foto del filtro benzina?
Yaris with Illinois plate in Europe? That's weird!
Korku filmi başlangıcı sanki ...
Ok
Next test the 1.4 liter MK1 Honda Jazz or the 1.5 liter Honda Fit
Max. fuel consumption in city?
My yaris is also 1.3 vvt-i, it's about 8.1L for me, but I drive it like it's stolen, so I'd say if you drive it normally without flooring it nonstop you can go lower.
I never got over about 8.2 so I'd say that's the max consumption.
I also drive it like an idiot in the city but i have like ~6.7l/100km. I also just replaced the air filter which was quite dirty and cleaned the MAE wich was very dirty, aswell as the vvti system (filter + valve). I dont remember how the efficeny was before but it was an improvement in performance :D
@qwertz4035 MAE? I have a 2000 with over 340km and would like it if u shared some wisdom

plastic car
It's made of metal mostly.
This plastic car will outlast you
Yes but reliable as f*ck, my mom buy a brand new one in 2006, i was 3year old, and between 2006 and 2015 the year it was sold, never a single problems, we did maintenance every 20,000 km but every morning she started without exception and whatever the weather, love u Yaris ❤️
@@jeandupond7941 my home until now still drive a 2005 kia car
