    Dato' Siti Nurhaliza
    She is Born Humble.
No matter how haters try to put her down.
I think I never once see Siti misbehave as a celebrity.
    Never wore revealing cloth.
Whatever people say about her, a smile always on her face.
A soft, modest, Humble Human being.
    Just from my own perspective.
Good reaction by the way. 😍😍
Honestly I am Not really a fan but always respect her. She deserve it.

If u listen to our ethnic or tradisional song.. U sure know how difficult it is.. So my mom said.. If a singer can master this kind of genre, they can master all kind of music genre coz this kind of song need a lot of vocal control. Its so hard to sing a traditional song, so elders know siti is a great singer when she sang this genre in the beginning of hers career. She hit the note pretty well with her beautiful tone.

Not sure if you already know but M Nasir is actually the Sifu of our music industry in Malaysia. He created this song as well as some of Siti Nurhaliza’s songs. Even Ziana Zain and Awie’s Senja nan Merah was created by him. He’s older than all of them and created so many songs for the legends. You can notice how Siti Nurhaliza respect him so much in this video. If you actually understand the lyrics, I swear you’ll be awed by his literature as well ❤️

Tq nephi ur awesome 😍 Ghazal (gazal) is a type of amatory poem or ode originating in Arabic poetry backdated frm 670AC frm Persia and normally accompanied by certain musical instruments. Ones of the southern pennisular malaysian traditional/folks music. Ghazal for Rabiah is par beyond any songs had recorded and composed in malaysia (my personal opinion 😎)..its masterpiece frm M.Nasir (malaysian music meister/sifu). This song is dedicated for Rabiah Al Adawiyyah (a sufi)born in Basra(Iran) the lyrics contained elements of philosophy and essence of love and sacrifice of a sufi high integrity. She was kidnapped at young age and sold as slaves. She becomed a deeply pious and caused her to be freed by his master. Rabbiah became a well-known Sufi member of Basrah City and many people came to her for clarification of religion. During her lifetime, not only famous for her deep religious knowledge, but also for her religious poetic writing ✌(source:google 😉)

Omg nice explanation! I would want to explain it to him but just dont know specifically how. But yh nephi, i see youre very interested in tht texhnique. That technique is pretty common in our country especially the muslims, because of the influence from the arabs. This technique is common not only in singing, but in reciting poetry and reciting the Holy Quran ( we call it tarannum and tilawah). So its quite common as we are ought to listen to the recitation.

Yeahh that style we call etnik kreatif which is got influenced from arabic style. Our traditional songs got many influential from arabic and shargam(indian classical). This due to during colonial area where many traders came from arab countries and china and india. So lots lots of influential in our music. To sing those songs need lots lots of difficult technique and practices. Siti is the queen of traditional&classical singer.

    • @imdamuji9227

It’s influenced by the Persian melancholy poem which was used by the arabic and most of the muslim country. Even syair melayu klasik sekalipun

Way before the western colonial era, arabian, chinese and indian trader had visited the land of nusantara (most country in southeast asia, currently indonesia, southern thailand, malaysia, brunei) as early as the 9th century, year 800s. And way before that, we were also influenced by the mix of hindu-budhha tradition in about 2nd century (this one i am not sure BC or AD).
All of that produce our variety of cultures and beliefs now.
Western colonial invaded nusantara in the 16th century. Year 1500s.
There were differences of hundreds of years to say that happen during the colonial era.

This song is an original M. Nasir and Jamal Abdillah song and it was also composed by M Nasir. The musical style here is called ghazal - which is one of the many types of traditional malay music and has its roots in middle-eastern, Portugese and Spanish music. The vocalization technique employed by the both of them here is also reminiscent of classical malay/arabic poetry (syair and qasidah). If you listen to the Adhan (muslim prayer call) or any classical arabic poem, you can definitely hear the similarity. It's truly a masterpiece by M Nasir and definitely deserving of the many accolades it received back in the day, including winning the AJL back in 1997. By the way, the reason you feel like some holy spirit is taking over, it's because it's basically a song praising God. Yang Halus, Yang Tulus, Yang Mulus, Yang Qudus basically means (with slight variations) The Purest or Holy One.
