What really stinks is how a lot of electronics have power cords way too short or way too long. My overkill senses just say install 4-socket outlets every 6 feet on every wall and a few extension cords for good measure.

I've been using twister seals for years. Cheap but effective solution just like the zip ties. Everybody has them.

...or get a more capable contractor to do it. (i.e., the drywall thing)

bigvirgotube it's incredibly easy to do the drywall thing. i had 0 experience doing it and was able to do it for every flat panel in my house. I'm pretty sure I saved hundreds doing it myself and each one looks perfect.

I did finally buy a drywall book today. And you're right, looks like I could do it. Just need to 'man up' and take the plunge. Thanks for the pep talk!
