After buying TSLA shares for 10 years, I'm struggling to make gains presently. How can I adjust or revamp my million dollar portfolio to make profits steadily and hedge against inflation, or am I better staying off the market
Tesla is overvalued. The core car business is worth $80 per share. I don’t believe that the valuation can sustain the level it is at currently because the stock trades more on momentum than on fundamentals. I think if the sales numbers are poor, then the stock will crash heavily.

Tesla's battery/energy storage is GROWING exponentially.....this is a hidden gem for Tesla. In time, cars will be a second thought to AI generated FSD vehicles, Grok AI, scaling production, and Optimus bots.....

I think you need to look at the total number of cars and light trucks sold each year for the last few years. I think you will see Tesla has managed very well during this. The age of the average used car is at an all time high. There is going to be a replacement cycle. Right now it is sort of like stepping on a spring with high interest rates. Eventually annual sales of cars will increase. At that point buyers have a choice to go EV or not go EV. EV's will gain market share. When battery costs decrease so will the costs of EV's. Legacy auto fudged their financials by raising prices to offset declining sales. This will make them less competitive in the long run.
Already sold more than half of my shares between 200-250$. Might sell a bit more to buy stocks that have higher upside or ETFs.
Until I’m convinced that the premium of EVs is worth it I don’t think EVs will make a difference for Tesla. Right now EVs, for all manufacturers, are just overpriced cars with more issues and lower quality

Hmm curious it’s either going to go up 50 dollars next week or down 50 IMO. I have seen a lot more Teslas on the streets and seem to be all over social media of people taking pictures when they see one, which I think is a really good thing for the company in the long term.

Tesla stock is risky. It can drop 30% or more, but it can go to $300 or way more. I think it's worth the risk

I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.

Tesla is squeezing out the competition. Many will win now but can they sustain? Nope... fisker is just like Solo, wkhs, so many others can't maintain. This is how Walmart won, squeezed out the comp. Tsla will push tech, energy and ai I think as well

I listen to people in 2012 and 13 that Tesla was going bankrupt or don't buy the stock. It's a meme stock and overvalued.....then you see the article, if you invested 10K into Tesla in 2013, you would have over 200K. Ten years from now, these people will change their story, and it will be too expensive to buy the stock, and you will learn they were buying the entire time. I sold Tesla around 200 before the first split, and and once i sold, Tesla shot past 4k a share.
