- This week I made a trip to Germany to visit the large NATO exercise "Air Defender 2023". In addition, I visited Hohn Air Base where many NATO fighter jets were temporarily stationed, especially large numbers of American fighter jets. I filmed this video on the first day of the exercise at the start of the runway of fliegerhorst Hohn where the fighters turned nicely onto the runway for take-off.
I hope you enjoy the loud sound of the fighter jets launching like I did.

Dass ich eine Growler zu sehen bekomme, hatte ich nicht erwartet. Habe sie auch in der Woche bei der Landung fotografieren können. Ist der CAG Bird des Geschwaders auf der USS Gerald Ford. Einfach top 👍

I know what you mean , leuchars 2013 was the last time i went to an airshow once they changed it to am army base , the Scottish airshow at ayr now just isn't the same.
@@jimmclachlan5941 No it's certainly not the same now I totally agree. Back in the day, we had some fantastic airshows. I went to Alconbury, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Greenham Common, Upper Heyford, Farnborough and Fairford. They were great times for sure. The SR-71 flying at Mildenhall and Alconbury was just amazing to see ⚠

@@32tfs Until today the Tornado was the loudest for me. Until today when the F15 started.
Actually the Kadena F-15 belongs to the Massachusetts Air National Guard seeing as the F-15s at Kadena are slowly being withdrawn back to the states and sent to other USAF or USANG units.

I have been as a soldier in 1981 in Hohn - we was the Air Transport group (LTG) 63 - our aircrafts was the legendary C-160 D (one is shown in the beginning of the video) We had all the time problems with neighbors cause of noise - what would that people say yet?
So many take off was at our time the program of just a week!

Ich war zu gleichen Zeit als Z8 bei AG 52 in Leck und durfte mit der Trall nach Decci und andere Kommandos. Einen Flug konnte ich auf der hinteren Bank im Cockpit mitfliegen. War sehr genial. 👍👊. War schon eine geile Zeit.
Mein Onkel war auch in Hohn stationiert. Er war Navigator auf der C-160 Transall. Neulich hatte ich das große Glück, eine ausgiebig besichtigen zu dürfen. Ein tolles Flugzeug!
Im Vergleich zu den Kampfjets im Video war/ist die C-160 so leise wie ein E-Auto! 😂😂🤣🤣

Very nice captures! I'm near Ramstein and Spangdahlem, lots of activity here as well. So far I've seen A-10, F-16, Typhoon, Tornado, C-130, C-17, Voyager KC, E-8 JSTARS, KC-10, and maybe even an A-4 Skyhawk. I only caught a glimpse so I'm not sure about the last one.

The A-4 is from Wittmund, home of the TAW 71 "Richthofen". But right now operating from NAW 3 " Graf Zeppelin" Nordholz.

Pilot is a dream job and will remain so until I die.
I'll tell you something now...when I was 11, I practiced on the flight simulator, day and night. I skipped school for weeks, I studied every detail, every function, everything of this machine. Still loving the F15 Strike Eagle to this day, my favourite. Although I would prefer an F-14. Until I could sleep. Unfortunately, it never worked out in the army to become a pilot, I let myself be beaten up as a transport soldier. Unfortunately I'm too old for the job. I could have told you every single feature by heart. A dream, if only on RUclips.. I keep getting tears in my eyes because my dream never came true. But hey it was enough to make my parents mad hahaha. If I had the chance again, I would hold a candle to all TOPGUNs, that's as sure as Amen in church. Greetings from an ADHD ler who saw sport as a kind of relaxation and played under the table as a hobby Bundesliga player in basketball at the age of 16.
Fun to watch, especially when they start with afterburner. 2 x Pratt&Whitney provide enough thrust. But what's really nice is the sound. Unfortunately, no F-18 can keep up with that either, in terms of sound. GOGOGO....
The F-15E Strike Eagle and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is two best fighter aircrafts in the world.😊

The Typhoon was the only jet that could take off without an afterburner...did not know that
But they used the afterburner to go straight 90 degrees up in the air to show the US friends some power😅
@@Celestron781 I think,the F15 and the F22 can keep up with the power...maybe even the F35...but i am no expert...i simply admire these sophisticated, unbelievable complicated, man made jets...und ich glaube, wir hätten uns auch auf deutsch austauschen können.
The Typhoon can go supersonic without using its afterburner.

what was the time where the jets took off? is it that they run multiple takeoffs during the day or is it the whole bulk taking off in the morning? appreciate your answer :)
This week the flying times were about 10:00 till 13:00 in the morning. The afternoon was less flying but from 17:00 till 19:30 the second wave was flying. 😊
Is that elevator wiggle a fly-by-wire glitch or done on purpose for some reason? Looks weird.

Hi ! Why were there no F22s and F35s ?
The F-35's did take part this exercise but they didn't fly from Hohn, the F-22 did not take part.
Was bedeuten die Buchstaben auf den Flügeln der amerikanischen Jets wie JZ beziehungsweise ZZ und ist es möglich zu bestimmen aus welchem Geschwader die einzelnen Jets kommen ?
Tatsächlich sind die Codes mit dem Luftwaffenstützpunkt verknüpft, auf dem diese F15 stationiert sind.
Moin zusammen, bin ja eher der Fan Von Heavy Metal, Gruß an alle Kameraden vom PzBtl 203 Hacke Tau 😊, aber die Chance all diese Jets zu sehen, konnte ich mir auch nicht entgehen lassen. Danke für das tolle Video. Tailcode ZZ bei der F15 bedeutet meiner Recherche nach Kadena Airbase, Japan.
