Hirum was among few first friends I made in NYC. Very good friend and an amazing guitar player. Gone with the same reason his two friends were gone - Kenny Kirkland and great Pastorius. His sollo with Marcus Miller band in Blue Note (Japan) is still my favorite of all times. People make the world go round. When we met I knew nothing about Hirum.
Amazing player and gone too soon, what a privilege to have known him. I was playing in Japan when Marcus and Hiram came on tour in Tokyo in '96. Marcus stopped by the club and sat in with us, that was amazing, too bad Hiram didn't come along.
IT was great. Hiram was really getting into the entire song. Fun to watch. I had no idea how to find more of him...now because of your video I do, thanks!
thanks fatty, as far as my knowledge they are stock single coils, just bought it on eBay a couple months back, $600 was a steal for a early 90's japanese esp
AHHHHH!!! Where have I been. First Louis Johnson in 2015 and now Hiram....When and how did he pass.....? He was one of the BADDEST! OH MAN, somebody please tell me what happened.

It's a rare and good thing that you are presenting licks from niche players not known to everyone. Thanks.
thank you Wojtek!
Thanks so much, Yea Hiram Bullock was a great talent. We loved his tone and style.
RIP ..Hiram!!
Hiram, a great one to remember, bravo Rick!
Great stuff. Love the way you loop the licks over the backing track and having the tab with the rhythm notation
Oh yeah...Rick man I really like the way you teach. I play bass and a little guitar now thanks to you.
Very nice work 🙌🏾

That tune is full of very strange and interesting leaks - stuffed with them

Hi Rick - just wondering if the single coils in the ESP Strat are true single coils or stack single coils? Nice video...
thanks fatty, as far as my knowledge they are stock single coils, just bought it on eBay a couple months back, $600 was a steal for a early 90's japanese esp
Wow...that is a steal for one of those. Thanks for replying...
Wow ..there are some real tasty ones here ......
he was such a great player!
sweet
Is this where Gilmour gets it from?
would think that it would be the other way around as Gilmour was on the scene long before Hiram

TastyGuitar.com Thanks for the prompt response...
can you tell me what song or songs these are from?
can't remember exactly, though I think I lifted them all off of live concert footage
