Not really true plenty of the arch weapons are still bid after t2. The real problem is how long will the game last to justify spending that much on it.
A major issue is the grind feels pointless once they add a dollar value to everything. You didnt just grind 5 days for an item, you grinded 5 days for $6. That's a major issue. People saying "oh just dont buy it" are ignoring the games' insistence on reminding you that you're working, not playing a game. The grind is teivialized by everything being cash-purchasable. And the people are voting by just leaving the game.
This is not true at all, yes their prices will be lower by the time but this happens to every mmo games, thats because thousands of people plays everyday and drop the items, what did you expect? items should be the same price for 10 years? beside that, arch weapons are already can be 12 enchantment level, so till you will drop your t2 weapon and upgrade their traits, i will make my arch weapons 12 lvl with full traits in a heartbeat after they realesed t2 i am not talking about to trait stones you will spend on your t2 weapons, and also 1000 usd is nothing to have fun , you pay 1000, i pay 37.000 and you guys still cry , amazing :DDDDD, what do you think that how much lucent will be all the t2s when they realesed and what will be their prices after 1 months of realesed?
You missed my point,... you can already see that player count goes down, with this the amount of p2w players will also go down, therefore less lucent will be added to the game, regardless of prices, less and less people will be able to generate lucent/trade with one another because AH is tangled with premium currency and not the usual ingame currency. Also 1000 USD for a single game having fun? I wonder how much fun and for how long I can buy AAA games on steam for the same money?
Even if that's the case we are going back to the problem with alliances and how small groups of people will always dominate regardless because it's p2w game anyway... Most people will never earn lucent this way
The point is not wether you need it or not, but rather how expensive turns out to be and that most p2w players even if they have a lot of money would probably feel screwed if they just spend so much and now have to dump it, resulting in them leaving the game = nobody generates lucent ingame, so f2p players can not continue to use one of the main systems in the game - the Auction house. Of course, unless they change something about it...

you are talking about an absolute zero, extreme of the extreme, there is no game without people that dont pay for something in a game, its an irrialistic scenario, therefore your theory is incorrect and no point of making the video, and other aspect you said, by making items tradable and with game currency that would lead an immense wave of RMT in a game, and that would be way way worse
Again, most other games run this way (Auction house uses ingame currency), so I don't see why this one would be any different. RMT is an issue they need to deal with anyway, regardless. Sure no game has absolute zero players, It can just go so low that it's effectively the same, TaL is already bleeding, avg player count is around 30k, in just 3-4 months lost 90%?
hooold up ,you are actually crying for spending thousands of euros on an archboss weapon? You are ''defending''' the P2W players?? if you got the money and the brain to spend this amount of money on the game THATS YOUR PROBLEM . Dont be the victim .Yea you were right about dont get mad .What an awful take
I don't know why very often people miss the point of certain topics. I'm not defending or attacking anyone. I don't know if you watched the whole video but what I;m talking about is: If P2W players are just milked out of their money, they leave, leading to F2P players also leaving (also because of lot of things feel unfair for both sides) and trading in TaL is bound to p2w element because of how the AH works. When a lot of players leave, we have a massive decline of playerbase and game dying in very short period of time. If I'm to defend anything in this case, that would be the majority of player's interest or just a decent game with good potential. TaL can easily be AAA game if it wasn't for those fundamental issues regarding their business model. But I can see that working for them if they only want the short term quick buck, just kind of weird to see someone investing 10 years for development and then trowing it away in 1 year... who knows
Money spent on gear is hardly "wasted". You are using this gear, You are having fun with it and then You use it to upgrade Your new gear. I don't like how much it is pay to win but it's not wasted money.
Idk if you watched closely, but do you think it's even comparable to spend 3000$ on a single game (service) vs buying 100 games on steam for the same money? Also many other mmo games don't require you to spend this amount of money for such a short period of time and are actually doing better. What I was saying is treating games as service leads to a lot of wasted money where it shouldn't be
I played games with people that spent 10k$ a week, sometimes a day. If You can afford it - it's Your choice. For me it's crazy to spend this much, for him it was nothing. I'm more concerned with players that didn't spend anything and now all their grinding goes towards trash can :)
This is not the point,.. There are plenty of games that are not p2w. Also in many cases people who do spend a lot of money on a single game skip what was supposed to be the reason they even play, and it turns out, it is possible that having advantage over others in a video game is just another coping mechanism for real life problems
@Eyeduka but this isn't a p2w. It's pay 2 progress. People who spend have a career and don't have all the time in the world to farm like you content creators, disabled people, jobless people, or even kids. Also, saying it's advantage to p2w in a game like T&L is redundant when this game is a rock paper scissors. You can spend 20k and still lose to a f2p.
As for lucent, the event you talk about are probably castle siege and tax delivery, as far as I know the lucent yo uget from there is actually coming from the people who buy it, so it is determined by how many people actually spend real money on lucent. This lucent is not coming just out of the game as you can see the amount is always variable. And arch boss weapon upgrade, ye it seems that way but imagine how unfair it is to other people as well, who have regular t1 weapons, why don't they get upgrade too...
How do you earn tons of money, when all BIS items are max 100 lucent right now? 😅 Besides, his point was not that you should spend real money, he says that because p2w players will get upset at the fact that what they bought becomes useless so fast, they will leave or will not spend money anymore. And with player base droping so fast, no p2w players means soon enough there will be no lucent in the market for you to earn them by selling stuff.
@@van_tigranyanyou have a point. 800 hours grind and all the shit I just built is worth a few thousand lucent at best. By time I was able to not even fully complete my sets, it's all valueless. And I barely got to partake in this supposedly fun pvp since my guild was never top alliance lol
In korean servers t1 epics mostly cost 10 lucent for extract, you still need to spend the same amount of extraction stones... unless they add the stones as abundant drop t1 epic for lucent will be worse than blues
The market has already crash And people acting like it didn't making a thousand a day is extremely hard now and it's the only way to progress i can't even start building a second gear set because traits expensive 🫰🏿

Money spent on gear is hardly "wasted". You are using this gear, You are having fun with it and then You use it to upgrade Your new gear. I don't like how much it is pay to win but it's not wasted money.
exactly, and all item's value decline everyday since it's MMO, P2W is just skipping the grind to use the item at it's peak performance
You barely get anything from transferring gear to T2.
Spending money in a F2P = Spending money to skip playing the game 😂
I'm lmfao at the morons who spend money on this game 😂
Us morons are the reason you F2P have future content. You're welcome
Yep, and furthermore, if you're broke just say that brokie
Misinformation is crazy
Well, you can correct on whatever you think I'm wrong about...
@Eyeduka you can earn lucent through events and arch boss weapons scale up to T2. Plus no one is forcing anyone to spend money in this game lol
And arch boss weapon upgrade, ye it seems that way but imagine how unfair it is to other people as well, who have regular t1 weapons, why don't they get upgrade too...
it is good for us f2p players lol we are making TONS of money selling useless stuff.
At 10 lucent per piece? Na... Only people who sold items at the beginning of the game. Now Is death
@@van_tigranyanyou have a point. 800 hours grind and all the shit I just built is worth a few thousand lucent at best. By time I was able to not even fully complete my sets, it's all valueless. And I barely got to partake in this supposedly fun pvp since my guild was never top alliance lol
Exactly
In korean servers t1 epics mostly cost 10 lucent for extract, you still need to spend the same amount of extraction stones... unless they add the stones as abundant drop t1 epic for lucent will be worse than blues
The market has already crash And people acting like it didn't making a thousand a day is extremely hard now and it's the only way to progress i can't even start building a second gear set because traits expensive 🫰🏿
