I did not receive my shipment. The customs declaration was missing so it was sent back from Stockholm to PS Audio. I could be happier. But listening to what Paul has to say is a comfort. Thanks!
Add your phone number in your PS audio profile and Postnord will send you a customs declaration notice via sms. Got my order a week ago with no problems.
Thanks Paul. I just read the book and found many useful topics. honestly some other too basic, but is a great book for everybody. related to the SACD, just received today (Colombia, Southamerica) and will try to read and run the disc to find the correct setup. Regards
Love your videos, they are educational. Can you please use a whiteboard + marker sometimes explaining concepts like waves around edges, ports, room etc.?
I am getting old or lost in translation, so by ordering the guide via Amazon I went into the twilight zone, currently I only have the book and no CD/DVD/SACD companion, first I was angry because I really thought Amazon would send the bundle, but now after some weeks of cooling down, and understanding that there was no false intend by Paul, I am looking to get the CD/DVD/SACD. Now the big question, what is the best way to order it, from outside the US?
@@bergennorway Then this is what I get "Oops. Sorry, but our system isn't able to handle adding this item to your cart at this time. With apologies, all Octave Record purchases need to be processed in a separate order."
@@pe0sat Very strange message you get! Have you tried different browsers and from different devices, like phone, computer and tablet? Maybe last option is to email them and order in that way.
Until the test tracks are going to be available on digital or streaming I don’t think many are going to buy this book. At least not anyone who started their hifi journey after streaming came in. So think about it Paul. Cheers.
I still cannot understand why audiophiles use SACD or DVD formats in this day and age ... when the entire contents can be written to a Pen Drive which has twice the capacity of both the formats... you can even place the book in an E-book format on the Pen Drive ...
I’ve lost many digital files, both books and music due to drive crashes etc. Haven’t lost any cd’s, and I still have hard copy books and vinyl which are over 40 years old. If you want to hang on to your music, buy cd’s. and you can rip them. Bear in mind that the cd’s do sound more dynamic.
I've never lost an SACD. Or accidentally overwritten an SACD. Or had an SACD fail on me. I store all my CDs, hi-res audio files and even surround sound 5.1 FLAC files on my NAS drive, and you know what? I still go and pick up a CD or SACD to listen to an album.
@@richardt3371 Absolutely. Like you, I ripped mine to a double hard drive NAS, which was fried by a power surge. I’m unable to read my drives because the NAS and it’s operating system is obsolete. So much for dual back up.
I just purchased the bundle and should show up monday! cant wait

Thanks for the explainer! The bass track #7 just helped me fine tune a recently added sub. How low can you go? Quite a lot 🌹🇦🇺✌️
One dvd is on the way and next month the big book...🤗
Right now it’s in San Francisco international post office...🥳 I hope...
Just ordered the bundle. 😎🔈
Hi, Paul. Currently, I’m living in Taiwan. Will your distributor in Taiwan carry a few of this ?
Thanks Paul 👍 For those without a DVD/CD player will you be providing a digital file?
You can buy a download from their website
@@discy12345 Thanks. I’ve looked for it and can only find the 3 options, SACD, SACD & DVD or book only. Any chance you can provide a link? 👍

will rhe SACD play in my 2010 sony BDP S370?
The book paid for itself several times over the first day, for me, due to the information on rooms and speaker placement.
Paul, Why don't you offer the package digitally, if people are going to rip it any way?
He does, on the PS Audio website.

A book bundled with a 5-inch polycarbonate discs is so 1990s. 🤔
Those 90’s polycarbonate disk sound much much better than today’s streaming. Much much better.

Isn't it because of superior dacs in cd players?
@@discy12345 also because of lower noise in CD transports even when using external DACs.
