The nostalgia of Fortnite will always be just that. Everyone misses when the skill gap was lower and people hadn't figured out what was actually possible in this game. Now, we can't go back to those memories. The old map can come back, but people will still sweat. Fortnite is what it is now, for better or for worse.

remove turbo building, stop adding the new stupid skins which look unoriginal and copied over and over, actually add good emotes, remove all the bs that the game doesn’t need, bring back the old map and boom Fortnite would make so much money again and regain their players

*To everyone still lacking clearance on this:* Returning the old state of the game would not bring back the same joy you felt in the past. The player base would remain just as sweaty. The only thing that would bring back that old nostalgic feeling of the game, would be physically traveling back in time to when the game was in it's prime. Fortnite will sadly never be able to revert back to what it used to be, no matter what epic tries to do, it will never be the same.
Im okay with sweats still in the game. I just want the old map, old graphic, old guns, old sound. Man i miss the old fortnite
@@ben8791 yea, I understand that sweats don't have an effect of some people's experience with the game, but for me it makes the game unplayable. I just can't enjoy the game when everyone else is playing like there's money on the line.
They could remove turbo building in a new "Season 2" mode.

@@sorgii Adding Zero Build really brought back some good times (not that I have an issue with building, I've just convinced some friends to play again).
There's simply no reason to think that bringing back an old spot or mechanic wouldn't scratch a nostalgia itch. Have you literally never played an old game before? I keep coming back to Breath of Fire 3/Skyrim/Oblivion and it's genuinely a good time, though I've had my fill of some older games.
Double pump and single-click building is something I dearly miss. It has nothing to do with the community even. Literally all based on the state of the game.
Obviously, Epic doesn't seem to be inclined to literally reverting to the old maps or mechanics ever again. They're adamantly against Double Pump or anything close to it.
At least they've also added a lot of good updates and the current game is in a fairly good state with good weapons and nothing too clearly broken.
So many memories. I really regret not getting any of the passes or packages.

These people that saved these old seasons should just make a game that has like the first 5 seasons and you can pick what season you would want to play.
the reason there is no skins is due to copyright infringement, epic said they are fine with an offline version of the old game as long as it has no skins as that would effect their sales, they also said no to an online version as, once again, it would tank their playerbase due to a lot of people wanting to play the old version

I'm going to be honest. The one thing that completely ruined this game, and was actually one of the funnest things theyve added but at the same time, terrible, is creative/playground. It gave these kids the opportunity to just not even play games, but just grind for hours on their building... And this created a HUGE skill gap in the game.... If anyone wanted to start playing FN now for the first time, it would be hard, it would be frustrating, and it would be almost impossible. They went too "competitive" when they introduced creative. People got sooo good soooo quick... And me having a full time job and a family, I dont want to spend hours grinding in creative. I wanted to just play the BR and have fun... But me doing that, I was only keeping myself behind everyone who grinded in creative lmao.
Dude I feel that hard. That's partially what got me out of the game, when I started playing in Season 3 everyone was pretty balanced and it was fun building things that aren't instant skyscrapers.

the only reason rift wont let you play multiplayer or have skins is because they had to ask for permission from epic to do all of this in the first place and that was a compromise if i remember correctly

for Christmas this year, Fortnite should bring back the chapter 1, season 2 map, remove turbo building, and remove tac sprint, mantling, etc. Even if not for a long time, it would be so much fun to go back to REAL OG Fortnite.

As much as we want to go back we wouldn’t want to ruin the memories with sweats
I think that not Epic, but the sweats ruined the game. Well, one could argue that SBMM is a problem, but even without it, the amount of sweats per lobby would be so high that you wouldn't have too much fun in pubs nowadays. They'd have to remove turbo building to fully stop the box fighting meta, which would ruin the game just as much. I guess they're doing their best by adding things like railguns and plasma cannons to counter box fighting etc...

It’s not really sweats that ruined the game, it’s just that when people got better it became harder to win and if you didn’t adapt and also become better than the game could get hard and boring.

My sons 9 and I'm 30 now. We have spent so much time in this game. He got me into it in season 4 when we started on the phones. Some of my best memories will forever be in fortnite.miss the old seasons

After playing on the program that sypher was using i realized that what made the old map special was our unawareness when playing on it, knowing that i was playing on something we lost was a good feeling but that ended really soon when the nostalgia faded away and the actual memory kicked in, i started getting used to it again and i never missed old fortnite ever again after that

Season 8 was the season my group of friends broke up. I have mostly played Ltms after season 8 started. Squad was not fun anymore for me. Disco domination was my favorite ltms of all time. I remember back in season 6-7 dancing like crazy and killing people on the disco floor.

I started playing fortnite chapter 1 near the end of season 3, and man this brings back too many memories, anybody remember those late nights with your friends griding the battlepass?
Bro, imagine for chapter 2 season X, they make the battle pass a remaster of some of the old skins and have a cycle in game where we basically progress the old seasons as the weeks pass. That would be awesome and other than maybe being hard to roll out since there are some big changes, they would have to do little to no work other than the end of season event, rolling out updates, creating new skins and fixing old bugs.
Ch 2 season 9 they bring back combat shotguns, keep pumps and tacs, rebuild neo tilted put back tac smg (the one that shoots as fast as a p90 does rn)

@@Cluxiu bro watch the tutorials. Dont just say no wtf. Epic released an apk to get in there publicly saven files. Its only public files or the files that they want the people to use or see. Thats why you cant access the rocket event to the mech. Only the season x.
The map had better colors. It was honestly much easier to identify things
Objects had wacky shapes which is what kinda made it unique I guess
Lobby backgrounds were animated and had better quality
And graphics kinda got worse at least in my opinion that's what I think
