Could not happen to a better man. Congrats Dave. Stay at it. I'm 63 and doing my best. Took me a nice one yesterday morning. Chacing these birds foe 50 years now. Awesome.
Congratulations Dave! Squirrel done a pretty good job on filming the hunt, he’s getting better😂. I was fortunate enough to take a banded/radio collared turkey in 2020 here in Ga. Contacted Michael Chamberlain from info on band and turned in the collar to Sara and Nick. Turkey was 5 years old and they provided me with a spread sheet of all his activities, which was really cool. He was also 5 miles from where he had been net trapped from harvest.
What a trophy! Congratulations. Having killed lots of banded waterfowl, your comment about someone having had their hands on that bird sometime in the past struck a chord with me, wondering about the life of the bird and the person who banded it.
Congratulations Dave on a fine gobbler. It would be cool for you to let us all see your mounted birds. Getting one with a band is pretty cool. Plus the long spurs are cool.
What a great addition to have and remember for ever, congrats Dave you guys are doing it right, had my first one mounted years ago and I still remember the morning to this day, opening day tomorrow and just glad to be able to get out in God's great outdoors
I've been hunting that area of the glades since the 80s. I've drove by Luckys place a million times, never been inside. I wanna have a drink out there with yall sometime!
Congratulations Dave, when that when is finished from the taxidermist, u should do a video showing all of your turkey mounts. Thanks for the great vids
The first gobbler I ever killed which I called in myself having no clue what I was doing was banded. I never heard back from the biologist about the age and location data sadly.
Hey Dave, Congrats on the banded bird. The first bird I ever killed was in 1996 in La (first year season opened) and it was banded. It was an original bird transplanted and released in 1989. I have an old VHS tape of my grandfather releasing a jake and a few hens in that same food plot (in 89), and I've always wondered if it was that bird.
Dave I noticed you loading what looks like ordinary Yellow 20 Gauge shells at the beginning of this hunt. Could you please share what your every day choice gun and ammo? Love your channel Thanks🦃
Correction Squirrel,, That is a bird of several thousand life times. The lack of bands on birds plus the millions of hunters nationwide,,well,, there you go.Good for you Dave,,well earned wild Gobbler.Break out the pocketbook!!!!!
That banded Gobbler may have an implanted radio transmitter on his back......they do that with waterfowl.........Good vid !........Great Gobbler.........

1 1/2” my ass that bird had longer hooks than that or your camera playing tricks on me 😂
