A song that perfectly encapsulates the 80s economic attitude: lyrically and melodically. There's an optimistic sound, which behind it is a harmonious sound of fear and uncertainty. FEX, I love yall. I have listened to SWOYM since I discovered it this year. I swear I have heard every single one of your songs in the 2017-2019 timeline. I am not sure if it could have been something similar, but I swear I have heard every one of your songs, in the fall or summer of 16'-17' a whole lot. I also vividly remember thinking: "what was that somg?" but didn't care to ask, thinking it was another somg they had played usually. This could just be deja vu, but it doesn't feel like it. Thanks FEX, you guys have made the most azing music I have ever heard. This takes me back to the simple '16-19' days when I would be in the car, listening to the radio.
I like how they added stereo panning to the drums at the start. A lot of lower budget indie bands of this type wouldn't bother with something like that.

these songs just scream summer imo ☀️ such a perfect vibe. I can’t wait to hear your songs in movies
I need the *entire* Fex discography, I have to hear what else they've made.
Now this is true lostwave. At least we knew of TMMS's existence before it was found. We didn't know about this song, however.
I came here for Subways of your Mind, and stayed for all the rest of the discography that I *really* hope will resurface
I'm really excited to hear this song. All of the songs we have from FEX so far are awesome!
average baja blast W
So much time has passed and nothing has changed. The topic is relevant for all times. Your music will live forever.
This is just…really good. So glad the origin of Subways of Your Mind was found. Thank you for posting these songs.
This song perfectly captures the feelings of liminal synthwave California ambience of the 1980s
This feels so surreal... i mean, this was 40 years ago, and we only discovering it now
I hope the full demo tape is released to Spotify. I want to listen to the full catalogue!
How the fuck did they not go big? All their songs are certified bangers.
Another great tune! Of the "era," but applicable to any kind of radio format today. Bravo!
Amazing how is a similar situation to EKT, they still have various tracks available, except the original lost song.
And the people are now in like their 60’s
If/When FEX releases their album of all these classixs I really really hope they press some vinyl for the states. I can't wait to hear it on my classic turntable and stereo setup!!
Guys we found gold here
🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
FEX is an actually the perfect example of The True Goldrush!! Like found a Da Vinci Painting on modern Times but on the Music!! I prefer say, your Musics Is more than a Gold!! Is a Gift on our Hearts!! 🤩🙌🏻
The song title is kind of appropriate. FEX's music is like GOLD and everyone is in a RUSH to listen!
you tried too hard
@@drunkchey9739 Oh well, at least I tried. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
you did not try too hard and it worked
👀 We saw what you did there! Lol
well their new found fame is hopefully a "Goldrush" for the band and helps them get their due!
this is even better than subways of your mind
The first B side song! That's perfect!
Not only have we uncovered Subways of Your Mind so suddenly, FEX decided "y'know what, time to drop a new one"
VERDICT:
This is FEX's ultimate comeback. A way better gold rush than that of California back in 1850 🎉🎉🎉
A personal thanks from me to you for giving me my own personal crowning achievement of 2024
Watching it on Nov 23rd, on which day I was born. Something unbelievable to accept :DD
happy birthday
Danke schön für die tolle Musik!
We need an album.
I really feel that a lot of magic here comes from bass and synth, the rythmical sense from bass its unique and really makes u dance, and synth gives that mystical atmosphere to the music
FEX truly never misses! It’s insane how good every single song from you has been so far, including this one. As a musician it makes me very happy to see people getting recognition that is so richly deserved, no matter how belated. Always looking forward to hearing the next song - all the best!
has to be my favorite song you guys released to date on god, still cant stop listening to it. it kind of has the same vibe as genesis music when peter Gabriel was with them. has to be my favorite song thus far, keep it up!
While a CD is definitely wanted, a new black vinyl pressing & cover artwork would be welcome.
And merch! The FEX logo and how it fits into a star is instantly iconic!
That synth is other worldly
I can listen to this all day 🔁
I like how they added stereo panning to the drums at the start. A lot of lower budget indie bands of this type wouldn't bother with something like that.
FEX!! FOR LONG 40 YEARS WAITING........... BRASIL, AMAZÔNIA. THANK YOI🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
How fitting that this song can describe 2024's success with lost wave findings.
fex droppin after 40 years is fire 🔥
edit: MOMMAAA HOW TF DID J GET A HUNDRED LIKES IN 10 HOURSSSS
So stoked for this one. All the way from the Philippines🇵🇭
I'm putting together a playlist of songs to act as a "soundtrack" for a sci-fi story I'm writing, and this fits the mysterious, retro-futuristic, urban vibe I'm looking for. I love it!
This sounds quite unique and more intricate to me than some of the mainstream songs of the time. Of course i don't know who influenced whom and who was more original. To me it sounds like you were experimenting with getting popularity at the time sound and the result still sounds fresh 40 years later!
