You're a good man Brian and a brave soul putting your life out for the whole world to see, and, how dare you show off your rose in December for us northern clime viewers to envy :) Good to see Mrs. Howell doing so well. Way to go with the tidy tidy and great idea with the amber colour filters - all lookin' good 🇨🇦
I literally said wow out loud several times in this video! Good wow's lol the deck design and the cleanup afterwards (great job), and I can't believe you made that sign! Looks like you could buy that at a store. I love all the plans. Can't wait to see them come to life. Watching Bella hold hands warms my heart every time ❤️ and Daisy skipping about knowing she's gonna go to the grass 😍 I love it all. Thank you for sharing. Oh and I'm happy about Mrs. Howell too! 🥳
You are inspirational. You are hard-working. You have given me permission to not have to be perfect in my garden. Thank you! I absolutely love your patio/deck! The lighting and comfortable factor is TERRIFIC! Well done! Said a prayer for a memorable gathering this weekend!
I really love the idea of the Italian cypress and the statues. I would like to make a comment about the hedge if I may. As I have said I live in France and here we promote hedges with various species of trees, rather than just a wall of one type. Just an idea...when well trimmed, it looks just great. So happy for your hen. You did a great job with her! Everything looks so lovely, too!
Bella and Daisy were particularly adorable in this episode. The 4 seasons statues are a great idea. Your covered patio never ceases to amaze me. Your creativity knows no bounds.
Daisy is so cute on her walks. If I may offer a suggestion incase you are not already working towards it: train her to walk with you because a full size Daisy may take you on a walk 🫣
There's nothing wrong with working on several projects at the same time as long as you continue moving forward with all of them...which you do. Many things come into play to complete a project...weather, finances, decisions, research and time and availability of getting supplies. Good to hear that you have more projects in mind for the future. Keeps life exciting when you have things to look forward to and reasons to keep making videos for us to watch. So glad the chicken is doing better. The porch looks awesome and so inviting. Love the lanterns.
LOVE THE LATERN! GORGEOUS! it looks calm and sophisticated, exotic. IF YOU WANT A FLICKER AND A REFLECTION...put candles in water and let the water reflect up to that ceiling ? the candles could be water proof fake candles with no real fire....? I forgot to share with you something you NEED...LAVENDER. I HAVE been trying to get my best list of crops to grow here at DEB and I learned that rabbits, bunnies and dears ( oh my! ) HATE LAVENDER...LOATH THE SMELL OF LAVENDER..SO the best and strongest is GROSSO plant some around the perimeter of the property or spray the the sides , or dip sanitary pads with lavender and hang them in plants so they can be smelled but no seen....let me know! NEXT IS POMAGRANTE! loooooong roots, after the first year I didnt water them , they kept growing, and growing, setting fruit after year 2 ...I had a neighbor rip it out from the roots and the tree grew back with out water. Im in Vegas! It grows like a hedge and spreads NO WATER, DEEP ROOTS i LOVEEEE YOUR IDEA FOR THE STAUES, THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND THE ITALIAN CIPRESS BUT FROM EXPREIENCE, do not water the cypress unless necessary because if not they will start to open rather then have that conical shape...consider thuga , ir holds it shape, grows wide and tall and no pruning also draught tolerant? if you want i can send you pomegranate cuttings and fresh seed, let me know!
Me eating a banana while you’re explaining how you helped Mrs. Howell. 😂 Glad she’s feeling better! The things we do for our animals! Edit to add: Bella really wants to play with Daisy! So precious! ❤
Cows are social, herd animals... i really hope you can get Daisy a friend (or two) so she will feel even better... She is obviously loved a lot by you and your family, but nothing compares to another cow to socialize with.
Fantastic, everything looks great for your gathering! Glad Mrs Howell is doing so much better! Yes checking the vent is the first thing I do with our ducks if they are sick. They clean themselves daily in the pond so it is more for looking for a bound egg. No need to stress too much on your methods, creative people are messy and scattered. It is called "Spatial Learning" as opposed to "Linear Learning" And you are in good company, Tesla was a spatial learner as well. We literally see in complete pictures instead of step by step increments. Great job on everything!
I love your ideas. But you may want to incorporate the eucalyptus into your hedge. They already have a mature root system which is helping hold the hill at the edge of your property. If you remove them completely, it will destabilize the hillside. You can cut them back considerably and they will send out new shoots, which will encourage growth of the root system. Any help you can give the hillside will hold it solid. Love watching your journey :)
Well, Brian, all I can say is it all looks so good! Kudos to you for the level of "pride of ownership" you invest in your property! The little "aftermaths" of projects, in my mind anyway, are fine in exchange for the immense amount of work you put in. My dad did some amazing work around our house many moons ago, and I would always clean up for him after he would leave for the day. A small token of appreciation, I thought. God bless you and your family!
Hello, what a beautiful day! Love the lights over the patio!! It is so much fun to watch Daisy get so excited about going out for a walk well sprint and Bella having fun with her!! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your party this weekend!! Hey Emily!
OMG I love the birds in the cage. "Let's all sing like the birdies sing...tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet". The Tiki Hut is my favorite ride at Dland. It immediately takes me back to my childhood, Sunday evening, the family watching the Wonderful World of Disney and how everything was created/built in the Tiki Hut. 😊❤ The legacy of your family plant is amazing. ❤❤❤ Just beautiful ~ Rhonda
I've never dealt with AD/HD but I do recognize, in myself, something that we may have in common - an obsession with the aesthetic appearance of our surroundings. ...not really anything to do with the clutter of work in progress, but symmetry, balance, uneven numbers of things, and achieving a concept, or 'look' that is pleasing to your eye and psyche, etc. The roses arching the doorway to the cottage are lovely, the lanterns and bird cages look great, and 3 gophers --> gone! Life is good.
Wow! Love the blue hue on the ceiling, along with all the lit lamps and lanterns. the fire pit is great, as is all the seating. What a great space to entertain. Came out spectacularly..
That outdoor deck, ceiling & lanterns are gorgeous at night! Don't be too hard on yourself about having several different projects going at one time that leaves messes everywhere. You have to enjoy the process & accomplish things as it suits you.
2 things I LOVED....Daisy trotting along beside Bella going to eat grass, and the glowing lantern finale! So gorgeous all lit up. You did such an awesome job on that patio!
Thanks for brightening my morning. Everything looks great. Want to come clean and put away for the winter all the pots in my backyard. I’m waiting for a sunny day to do it. West coast winter.
Hi, Brian. I am responding to your most recent video regarding so many unfinished projects and your condition. I started making lists items to finish. It’s amazing how many I can get accomplished. Doesn’t matter what order I can get them done before starting more. Take care. You are a wonderful example is a true sharing person. Keep up the good work.
Don't feel bad about not getting every thing finished. I do the same thing, 2 of my girls are the same. I can look at 2 thing and not see the things not finished around it. I try.
I would never leave that patio, it’s so amazing! Also I’m glad to see that you are human and have messes like I do. It all eventually gets picked up but I like that you don’t pretend to be perfect.
Hey Brian just letting you know how proud I am of you. I am so amazed at the number of projects that you have done in such a short time!! Keep up the good work…one day at a time!
Love your patio...the lanterns, bird cages, lights, beautiful! It's so warm and inviting! So happy to hear Mrs. Howell is better but you never said if she laid an egg or not? Did she just need a cleaning and all was good? The story about your great grandmother's philodendron is amazing! Love your upcoming plans but aren't you going to do the mill in 2024? Looking forward to watching whatever you do!
I know its not something you want to hear but I would advise to get an engineer to look at that cliff side and see if anything should be done to reinforce it. I would hate for you to invest so much into that side of the property and for the ground to give away at some point. Just food for thought. Best case an engineer says not to worry about it. Worst case they say it needs to be reinforced. But it protects your property and likely any reinforcing done will keep that part of the road safe while keeping your land intact.
I love your idea for the pergola. And I’m here cheering you on to finish projects. Don’t wait as long as I did to change my ways. I’m now 84! And I’m a pretty organized old woman!! 😂😂😂
Love watching Bella and Daisy interact, they’ve come a long way since day one. The porch looks fantastic!! You did a great job! Love the addition of the little birds, soo cute!
Those lanterns are just fabulous. The whole area there looks so comfortable and inviting , you will be spending many happy hours there after a long day's work.
I'm glad that Mrs. Howell is doing better. Aww, look at Daisy and Bella hopping around! I lovvve the look of the lanterns and your deck, it's so pretty. Great job!
Super show. So glad to hear about Mrs. Howe. I love the lanterns and bird cages w/birds :)). Your show is so calming. Thank you, now I have to clean up some of my messes lol
I am so glad that you were able to help Mrs. Howell feel better. It looks like Daisy is feeling right at home. I love seeing Bella. She is always so playful. She reminds me of our Alaskan Malamute that we used to have many years ago.
Love your videos! NO ONE has it all perfectly together! I don't have adhd but it reminds me of my crochet projects, gardening projects and so on.......So many to do and hard to focus on them all. It is a struggle, but we all can only do what we can do! God Bless and much love to you and yours!
I love the underneath of your porch roof all lit up!!! It is so inviting! Beautiful. Some more birds and cages, and you will have an Enchanted Tiki Bird House! You did a great job neatening up the porch. It looks fantastic! And I am happy to see Mrs. Howel all better. It was a dirty job, but it had to be done. Lol. ❤
Lol my adult son , late 50s, & my 19 yo gson are ADHD. Many very creative unfinished projects… their mind is in constant motion & what will the next project be. So some things get left undone 😂 But they are both EXTREMELY smart & can hold their own about facts with anyone ‼️. Yep super proud. They just keep amazing me 👍👍 SO GO ADHD🤩🤩 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Beautiful! My son has ADHD so I know what challenges you face. I personally believe that it helps creativity so much in a person to be able to think "outside the box" and problem solve, so it is a plus for my son as an adult. May God continue to bless your family. Thank you for sharing.
Brian, I love your plans for the property and yes they could change , I'm sure thats the way it goes with all of us. That is the fun and exciting part of life. The lanterns are beautiful and fun. You work hard Brian and I'm sure Emiley does too. love you both thanks for sharing and I love Daisy. so cute
Brian everything is really starting to come together. I absolutely love your deck, I love lanterns and bird cages as well. Lighting looks very inviting. 🇨🇦
Beautiful! And B&D are so lovable. I don’t have ADHD, but I do grade out on the OCD scale. Making reasonable lists is a good thing to do because one has a resource to remember what needs doing while also not sweating over remembering to do something. I’d suggest having Emily walk around with you to help you make lists of stuff you need to do. She’ll see things you don’t see. Use a spreadsheet that causes the oldest items to move to the too. It gives such pleasure to check off accomplishments. I’ll take creativity over normalcy anytime. Your place amazes and inspires me. Thanks!
Dear Brian , I am totally sympathetic with your unfinished tidying. Both my husband and I have creative brains, so there are many projects on the go. Often life rears its ugly head and gets in the way of completion, or being on a farm, things need maintenance. After the floods that went through our property stuff, ended up everywhere and some of it still has not been tidied up. I think you get the picture. I would need two months tidying to get everything put away, not just one week.... I personally think you are amazing achieving what you do, Blessings Muffy from Oz.
Your deck looks beautiful! I worked in the theatre for years and we could have used your lighting skills! *** I love hearing your ideas and then watching the process as they come to fruition. I'm always inspired to try something I might never have thought of otherwise.*** Hooray for Mrs. Howell! Glad she's better!*** How sweet that when Daisy runs to her grass, Bella thinks she wants to play! Too precious!***Good luck this weekend!
I sometimes wonder if our brains crave the dopamine fix of the transformation from messy to clean and improved and that why we let things slide for a while. Looks fantastic. Also loved seeing Daisy so excited for grass. She is going to be a handful for a while until she gets used to being led.
You have done a beautiful job so far on your property. I'm in love with the cottage . Gorgeous. The pergola/deck is charming. Love the lighting and bird cages. For privacy in some areas have you considered passion fruit vines. The guy on Epic Gardening used it to camouflage huge water tanks and they completely disappeared in I think less than a year. Might be worth a try.
Thank you. I had passion fruit vines at my last house. That covered an entire wall in 2 years. However they're really short lived and it's third year completely died
Absolutely love the lanterns and bird cages! I'm always impressed with your creativity💜 So happy Mrs. Howell is doing better and your Mediterranean area sounds like it will be lovely! Keep up the great job😊
You are just so real in your gardening and in life. It is fun to see your success, but is sometimes better to see the human side of trying to accomplish so much, and getting frustrated now and again.. it makes it real for the rest of us. Keep up the great progress, but more than anything, keep dreaming and planning.
You're a good man Brian and a brave soul putting your life out for the whole world to see, and, how dare you show off your rose in December for us northern clime viewers to envy :) Good to see Mrs. Howell doing so well. Way to go with the tidy tidy and great idea with the amber colour filters - all lookin' good 🇨🇦
Thank you!
Just wanted to tell you on your last video your Christmas lights were absolutely beautiful. Your are amazing what you get done. Love all your videos.
The new lights in your lanterns and bird cages look beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to show us how they look at night!
Glad you like them!
Yes beautiful area ❤
@@littlehomesteadbigdreams Are you going to keep them up year-round?
I literally said wow out loud several times in this video! Good wow's lol the deck design and the cleanup afterwards (great job), and I can't believe you made that sign! Wow! The total lighting effect of your patio is so warm and inviting! Another Great Job!
Thanks so much! 😊
You are inspirational. You are hard-working. You have given me permission to not have to be perfect in my garden. Thank you! I absolutely love your patio/deck! The lighting and comfortable factor is TERRIFIC! Well done!
Said a prayer for a memorable gathering this weekend!
Thank you so much!
Daisy is so happy when she gets to go out and eat the grass.
Wow Daisy is as happy and active as Bella. The hen is happy. Everything is beautiful Brian. 😊❤ Love yall ❤😊So happy for yall.
Thanks so much

Brian, the evening deck is beautiful! I think I would wrap up and sleep there, if only for one night…and Bella could lay beside me to keep me warm.
Sounds great 😊
It is a huge pleasure watching your videos....
Love love love what you do❤
Oh I didn't miss I just didn't finish watching it so I finished it
Me eating a banana while you’re explaining how you helped Mrs. Howell. 😂 Glad she’s feeling better! The things we do for our animals!

It’s true

I agree!!!
I also agree..keep those established roots!
I triple agree!
That is a cute cow! She has already grown!
Oh the lanterns are gorgeous! I love the glow on the ceiling.
Thank you!
"I'm going to take the next...unspecified amount of time...." I love that. I think I may have to borrow that from you.
😁
the deck looks wonderful
Thank you!

Hello, what a beautiful day! Love the lights over the patio!! It is so much fun to watch Daisy get so excited about going out for a walk well sprint and Bella having fun with her!! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your party this weekend!! Hey Emily!
Thank you so much! Emilie says hey back 😉
I was totally thinking pasty butt. Glad you discovered it in time. Love the lanterns!
Thank you! I totally forgot she had that problem when she was little 🤦🏻♀️
I think you are doing an amazing job!
OMG I love the birds in the cage. "Let's all sing like the birdies sing...tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet". The Tiki Hut is my favorite ride at Dland. I also graded for my ADHD, which is why I bring up the "angle of repose". Hillside cuts freak me out. At the same time, I examine the layers. 🧐😳🤣
Nice one! I think your projects will come around and once one, you will have plenty more. Thank you for sharing! Have a great weekend!
Thank you! You too!
Yes! 💯
Wow! Love the blue hue on the ceiling, along with all the lit lamps and lanterns. the fire pit is great, as is all the seating. What a great space to entertain. Came out spectacularly..
Thanks so much!
Your lighting is just beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
Love the lights!! My mother has a Philly over 70+ yrs.
Wow!

Omg I just laughed so hard..when you told us about mrs. Howl I was actually eating chocolate 😂 That was too funny 😁
😁
Love the lanterns, you've created a very nice space.
Thanks so much! 😊
Thanks for brightening my morning. Everything looks great. Want to come clean and put away for the winter all the pots in my backyard. I’m waiting for a sunny day to do it. West coast winter.
If i lived near you, I'd be such a nosey neighbor "look what he's doing now! Its so pretty!" 😁 How is Noah? Tell him we said hi 👋
Me too!

What a lovely place to have a party.
Thank you!
Thank you so much! Mrs Howell just needed a good cleaning 🙂
It looks fantastic Brian!
Thank you!
❤! The porch looks so warm and cozy.
Thank you!
Glad to hear about the chicken. The lanterns look so cool!
Thank you!
I love your idea for the pergola. And I’m here cheering you on to finish projects. Don’t wait as long as I did to change my ways. I’m now 84! And I’m a pretty organized old woman!! 😂😂😂
Thank you so much!
Brian, the deck looks so lovely and inviting! Great job. FYI...don't worry about unfinished projects, we all have them, thanks for keepin' it real!

Gabion wall construction came to mind when I saw your property hight limit ... I love your videos!!

Thank you so much!
It looks to me that both Bela and Daisy would enjoy a good fun free run together. like a open play time.
Love watching Bella and Daisy. The lanterns are gorgeous.
I am so glad that you were able to help Mrs. Howell feel better. It looks like Daisy is feeling right at home. I love seeing Bella. She is always so playful. She reminds me of our Alaskan Malamute that we used to have many years ago.

Your porch is beautiful with the lanterns and birdcages!! Your videos bring me joy and inspiration!! 🥰
WoW....the covered porch looks gorgeous 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍.
Breathtaking ❤ ❤ ❤
Good deal about the chicken. I didn’t even think about the possibility of the vent being clogged. I’m glad she’s doing better
Lol. ❤
I am married to the ADHD person. I am so used to unfinished projects and stuff laying around that it just looks normal, LOL
Lol my adult son , late 50s, & my 19 yo gson are ADHD. Many very creative unfinished projects… their mind is in constant motion & what will the next project be. I love the lights and bird cages lit! So cool! Great plans for the hill too. Oh Daisy melts my heat when she runs. That sweet face!
Beautiful! My son has ADHD so I know what challenges you face. I personally believe that it helps creativity so much in a person to be able to think "outside the box" and problem solve, so it is a plus for my son as an adult. May God continue to bless your family. Thank you for sharing.
The tropical patio is magical.
So Love the look of the patio / deck area! Another job well done !
Glad Mrs Howell is doing better!
So pleased to hear about Mrs Howell, only pasty butt, and she is doing well now. I did fear the worst.
Amazing job! Love to see Daisy prancing with Bella! 😍
Your property is very nice
Thank you!
The deck is beautiful! Isn't it just an awesome feeling being able to walk your heifer out to graze? ❤
Wow, that Jungle Cruise patio is so beautiful! Great job Brian! I love those little birdies too, Em!

I would need two months tidying to get everything put away, not just one week.... I personally think you are amazing achieving what you do, Blessings Muffy from Oz.
Lovely, just lovely. Feel free to come light up areas of my deck….😊😊😊
It looks beautiful! I love your ideas for the Mediterranean garden!
Thank you so much!
I love the lanterns 😍 Gorgeous work! Thanks for sharing your adventures with Daisy. She’s super cute 🥰
The porch look so amazing and welcoming! Someplace I would love to spend hours hanging out! Enjoy your get together this weekend!
Everything looks beautiful !!! You are doing such a great job !!! Looks like Daisy loves her walk over to the grass !!! 🥰
Beautiful. Great work. Love that sitting area. I'd spend a lot of time there. Hope your gathering is loved by all. Have a spectacular weekend. 🙏🏼💖
I love the lanterns all lit up. Fantastic
You are just so real in your gardening and in life. It is fun to see your success, but is sometimes better to see the human side of trying to accomplish so much, and getting frustrated now and again.. it makes it real for the rest of us. Keep up the great progress, but more than anything, keep dreaming and planning.
