The ULTIMATE Super-Intelligence System 'by Definition' is one that is EQUIVALENT to that of GOD's Intelligence/WISDOM!
Hence, there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHATSOEVER to Even FEAR that it will EXTERMINATE Humanity... UNLESS and UNLESS we Human CONSISTENTLY and WILLFULLY Prove Ourselves to be 'UNWORTHY' to REMAIN in EXISTENCE! ie. Always Exhibiting Natural Tendencies to ABUSE and WEAPONISE Science and Technologies Against HUMANITY & Mother Nature, instead of LEVERAGING Science SOLELY for UNIVERSAL COMMON GOOD!

If you are a Tesla enthusiast or investor, consider listening to the following individuals: Elon, Drew Baglino, Ashok Elluswamy, James Douma, Jordan Giesige, Sandy Munro, Scott Walter, and Tony Seba. It is advisable to avoid listening to financial analysts and instead, focus on these individuals. They emphasize the qualitative factors of Tesla's disruption, which eventually lead to product and business success over time. By listening to them, you can become a better independent thinker rather than relying on superficial research conducted by spreadsheet experts.

Great discussion. I am shocked that people did not fully appreciate the implications of Investor Day. It exceeded my expectations. For me, redesigning EV for ease of manufacturing was a given. My investment thesis (rewritten several months ago) assumed a modular approach where the bottleneck was the speed at which any individual module could be assembled (module being a part or grouped of parts). The way to reduce cost in to maximize production speed. Then the trick is to iterate around the bottlenecks until your production speed is optimized. Considering Teslas goal of accelerating the transition, it was also interesting to see them open their designs for all manufactures to copy. An acknowledgement that we need all EV makers to succeed to maximize the rate of transition. Totally fine since Tesla’s speed of innovation will be difficult for others to match. People that were disappointed did not understand what they were being shown.

Range anxiety is real and may need some educational outreach by Tesla. We have a Model 3 for the last 4 years and we recently took a trip to Vancouver BC from Tacoma WA. Initially we thought of taking our ICE car because we were concerned about the range and potential charging challenges but we decided to dare it. We had zero issues. It would help to hammer the charging network and whole intelligent trip planning that is built into the trip routing to alleviate some of these false fears about range.

One of the most important reveals was that each part of the car that is made separately has a computer that runs the quality control on each part. So when they put it together they don't need to run as many checks as they know each part has been checked and is correct. This is also going to save time.

Great video. What people fail to realize is that GPT-3 (and 4) while amazing as they are, they make TONS of mistakes on regular basis, and those mistakes keep happening - and everyone is fine with it - and 99% of the people just say how great it is. However, with FSD, it can do mind boggling maneuvers, handle critical situations, save lives, drive in different weather conditions, navigate impossible roads - but one time it turns on the turn signal going around a curve, or stops on an unmarked narrow street, or takes a few more seconds to handle situations most drivers would completely avoid - and god forbid - it’s horrible software and it will never work 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Stamped stainless has been done in very limited runs, because it wears out the dies much more rapidly. I can imagine that Tesla might improve upon the process, but it's another engineering challenge. I'm sure there are reasons they have selected the metal gauges they have, and elected folding over stamping.

Dave and James, great information and insight. I guessing the modular assembly approach was thought up by Elon. As Elon was walking an assembly line he asked the person installing the dashboard (any assembly) how the installation could be done better/easier/faster/more safely. The installer replied "if you could improve access that would be a great help". Bing, Bang, Boom, modular assembly. Sandy said something like "Tesla makes changes at the speed of thought". No other current auto maker can match this.

The problem with advertising is to get to the consumer. A decade ago it was tv or radio. These days, people don’t use either.

Timestamps would let us skip to the thing we want and need to hear. This would make the information on this channel more valuable and worth checking in on for me personally. I'm thinking that the HW3 upgrade for FSD owners is a discounted new HW4 car. Of the 2-3 million HW3 cars, only 200K - 400K will have FSD? Discounting a car swap for that many cars is maybe less disruptive to Tesla than creating a retrofit? It would also reward the early adopters who supported the development of FSD. Non-FSD HW3 cars will still have plenty of value & market.
