the ‘back support’ is actually similar to the real thing, it’s just a little rough and without the fjällräven kånken sticker that comes with the original.
if your reason for not being able to use the bag is bc of the "small straps" then you could totally adjust them!! the buttons are MEANT to snap off and you're supposed to be able to elongate that whole strap!! the buttons are merely there for when you want to use it as a tote bag so the straps aren't flying everywhere. also, you should probably keep that foam pad in bc it does come w/ actual kankens and acts as padding/support so your bag doesn't bend like it did when you were trying to adjust the straps in this vid. oof that was a lot I'm so so sorry if this sounds harsh or if it seems like I'm trying to come off as some kinda smartass, but I really just wanted you to be able to use the bag so you get something out of your money?? it looks p real so I just thought this would kinda soften the blow

I don’t know why this is, like the straps will also not go past a certain length. also the buttons are not secure what so ever.. they just pop off when i move my arms in the slightest. thank you for the helpful information though!
when i got my first kanken it took my ages to figure this out with the straps haha i had to google how to adjust them and figured out i had to unsnap the buttons first

the padding in the back also comes with real bags. i thought it was just a protective sleeve for where you put your laptop or whatever goes. actually he company says that it’s a butt pad for when you sit on grassy fields or on the ground. idk i always throw it out

Rather the crossing position in the back straps gives you the back support. The foam padding is meant to be a seat cushion for when you are hiking and legit kankens have them too. I have tried multiple times and no luck. also I am aware that the real ones come with a foam insert, it’s just the one I received is terrible quality and nothing like the insert that comes in kanken bags. Contact the company! They are known for trading in the fake ones for real ones! I heard from numerous people who got cheated out of their money because it was fake! Hope this helps!
girl, when the seller told you that they couldn't refund you because their account "got deleted", that is not true at all!! you can file a claim with depop and then escalate it with PayPal if thats how you paid and you will get your money back! it's happened to me and I got refunded.
yeah the good back support thing comes from the lightweight make of the bag and how the staps are made, however if you get a legitimate kanken you should receive a pamphlet (some people don't) that tells you to keep the foam for comfort

i'm honestly so sorry that happened. to anyone who is considering buying one i recommend buying from the official site, urban outfitters, or nordstrom. those are just some sites that sell official ones that i know of. although getting one that is discounted sounds nice, i would just recommend buying the real thing. the official kanken website does have some sales at the moment too!

Honestly, if you can afford it you should get a real Kanken backpack. Everyone is commenting about getting a fake one because they don't care if people can't tell its fake. I have one with the laptop part that I have used for years. They are super durable. I recently got a Kanken mini for walks with my puppy and its totally worth the money. I saved up for it, I know it's a little expensive but I'll be using it for years to come. If I had bought a fake it wouldn't last as long and I would have to buy something new again.
after scrolling through the comments and not finding anyone address this issue, i'd like to add that the stitching of the logo and the front straps being seen from the inside is in fact the same as on a legit kanken. i have multiple kankens and all of them have this. aLSO i realize the straps should be adjustable, but a lot of people don't realize that kankens, invented specifically for back comfort, are meant to be worn more closely to the body. this balances out weight easier so the bag doesn't stress out your back as much. while im here i'd also like to know why some people have claimed to get swedish fish with their kankens????? jw

Actually most of the bags like the regular and the mini are assembled in China while the 15’ laptop one is assembled in Vietnam. I remember seeing this info on a video about the comparisons of the different versions of the bags.
2:35 it’s a Swedish company but they manufacture most of their stuff in China and Vietnam... To anyone that's panicking on whether they bought a fake or authentic Fjallraven backpack because the double dots on top of the A's are bold and the one circle is attached to the A in the word Kanken, DON'T PANIC. Apparently many newer backpacks manufactured during 2017/2018 have newer logos with the circle attached to the A (backpacks with the "Kanken Original" tag.) Some people who have bought the backpack from the official website have noticed this change although it's a bit rare. Also, please don't take the foam pad that comes on the back of the backpack; it supports its shape and will cost money to buy a new one.
hey i have the same bag but i’m not sure if it’s fake or not, but it was an absolute pain to sort the straps and it always folded in on itself etc when i loosened them, so i unbuttoned them and buttoned then back down again to something on the other side and managed to make em bigger:)
When you tighten the bag you aren’t supposed to re do the buttons they are there for when the bag is all the way tightened so they aren’t flying everywhere. Trust me I have an authentic kanken and it does that.

i got a fjallraven kanken for £50, cut down from £80 its realllll! i got it in yellow, as it’s my favourite colour and it was the only one on offer and it was the last one! i had been wanting one for ages and i finally got one, i believe the shop is only in UK so i recommend you just get it off the official website or from the store :) ily 🤟

The straps are tricky to figure out. I bought a real one and thought they wouldn’t adjust. Watch a tutorial on it. There’s a trick with the snap buttons at the bottom. You have to like shimmy them out through one of the loops
just in case a real bag is not an option for whatever reason, i have a fake regular that i use roughly every day that is lasting easily with that use. it cost 25 aus dollars and is very effective if you can't afford a real bag

Honestly, if you can afford it you should get a real Kanken backpack. Everyone is commenting about getting a fake one because they don't care if people can't tell its fake. I have one with the laptop part that I have used for years. They are super durable. I recently got a Kanken mini for walks with my puppy and its totally worth the money. I saved up for it, I know it's a little expensive but I'll be using it for years to come. If I had bought a fake it wouldn't last as long and I would have to buy something new again.

after scrolling through the comments and not finding anyone address this issue, i'd like to add that the stitching of the logo and the front straps being seen from the inside is in fact the same as on a legit kanken. i have multiple kankens and all of them have this. aLSO i realize the straps should be adjustable, but a lot of people don't realize that kankens, invented specifically for back comfort, are meant to be worn more closely to the body. this balances out weight easier so the bag doesn't stress out your back as much. while im here i'd also like to know why some people have claimed to get swedish fish with their kankens????? jw
kankens r actually rlly amazing DEFIANTLY always buy a real one :}} its rlly princy but they pay their workers fairly, made with AMAZING material, & they can last u YEARS.
Actually most of the bags like the regular and the mini are assembled in China while the 15’ laptop one is assembled in Vietnam. I remember seeing this info on a video about the comparisons of the different versions of the bags.

I ordered an original size bag on Depop so that I would have one for school, and I was super super excited about it I paid $60 for it and ,it was used so I expect it to be like not in perfect condition and when it came and had no Swedish flag on the inside the stitching was horrible and there was loose strings all over the whole entire bag and at first i thought it maybe because it’s used but I’m pretty sure it’s just because the stitching was crappy I understand your frustration I’m asking for a mini kanken for Christmas so that I could have one that is like a purse and I’m gonna order it off the real website so I don’t get scammed on this one !

you can adjust the straps and let the button off because the button is only necessary if you want to just hold it with your hand and not wear it on your back

To anyone that's panicking on whether they bought a fake or authentic Fjallraven backpack because the double dots on top of the A's are bold and the one circle is attached to the A in the word Kanken, DON'T PANIC. Apparently many newer backpacks manufactured during 2017/2018 have newer logos with the circle attached to the A (backpacks with the "Kanken Original" tag.) Some people who have bought the backpack from the official website have noticed this change although it's a bit rare. Also, please don't take the foam pad that comes on the back of the backpack; it supports its shape and will cost money to buy a new one.

hey i have the same bag but i’m not sure if it’s fake or not, but it was an absolute pain to sort the straps and it always folded in on itself etc when i loosened them, so i unbuttoned them and buttoned then back down again to something on the other side and managed to make em bigger:)

angie h if you got it from urban outfitters it is almost 100% real! I found out that even some of the authentic bags don’t have a reflective logo :)
When you tighten the bag you aren’t supposed to re do the buttons they are there for when the bag is all the way tightened so they aren’t flying everywhere. Trust me I have an authentic kanken and it does that.
I have an authentic black one and it has loose threads, not every kanken is made perfect

i got a fjallraven kanken for £50, cut down from £80 its realllll! i got it in yellow, as it’s my favourite colour and it was the only one on offer and it was the last one! i had been wanting one for ages and i finally got one, i believe the shop is only in UK so i recommend you just get it off the official website or from the store :)

It bugs me, no other company I could care less... the reason why they cost so much is because of the fact they are recyclable and originally for hiking etc.

The straps are tricky to figure out. I bought a real one and thought they wouldn’t adjust. Watch a tutorial on it. There’s a trick with the snap buttons at the bottom. You have to like shimmy them out through one of the loops

just in case a real bag is not an option for whatever reason, i have a fake regular that i use roughly every day that is lasting easily with that use. it cost 25 aus dollars and is very effective if you can't afford a real bag

I always get this page recomended on my instagram called kankenoutlet.com please don’t buy it! It has no reviews and the only review says It’s a lawnmower (suspicious right) so I decided not to purchase on the website. It’s really not worth it.

Monica Yazmin if u live in minnesota than your in luck! there is a fjallraven store there. u can also purchase online and in store at urban outfitters. most people will just purchase of of the fjallraven website, which is my recommendation.
