Reggie used to crack me up every week. He gave 1,000% every show.
Reggie Thornton used to dance his ASS off! And Aretha Jackson was a Goddess 🙌
Reggie and Myron brought that 🔥🔥🔥 ENERGY.
Always
Best two male dancers on the show in the 80s, in my opinion.
YyeeesszZZZZZzzzzzzz
I feel like the 80s was the Wild Wild West of Fashion.
🤣
LMAO!!!
Soul Train was a wonderful show. My thanks to all the dancers, singers and to the late Don Cornelius. Long live Soul Train.
Those were the days.... Everyone was Happy and Dancing away!!! Soul Train was and has always been a treat to watch!!
Myron and Cheryl Song always had the dope as routines & outfits #Legendary
They're greatest outfits of All-Time.💗🎶🎶
Loved seeing Reggie dance.
We need a petition to put Soul Train on Paramount+.
Music Rights.
Marlon Harrison doubt it, Viacom actively licenses Soul Train clips. I think it’s just more lucrative to keep clips exclusive.
Naw it wouldnt work
I love these clips of old school ST...it’s a documented “history” and time capsule of culture, dance, fashion, and SOUL!
😱Wow! So many great memories from watching Soul Train! Thank you so much for sharing! Soul Train Forever and I enjoyed seeing all the dancers, specially "Sally from the Valley!" 😎👏🏿👏🏿🙋🏿♂️ Everyone stay safe out there🙏🏿😷🙏🏿
WOW.Every was soooo slim and trim!!!!LOL!!! Small waists and energetic.
Yes.That dancung was a form of exercise. The food back then was not infiltrated with Gmo's and hormones.
RIP to real music. 1950s-1980s
the 90s-2000s had some hits ngl. just gotta find it in the right places. stop relying on mainstream radios if u wanna find good music homie
@@jiannacom well mainstream radio used to be where all the good music was. I think that’s @J Cash point. Now it’s like a needle in a haystack or deep diving trying to find talent on your own. I grew up in the late 70s & 80s and there was never a shortage of great music, literally everywhere! Whether Disco, RnB, Rock, Pop, some country. Everything was lit!
I think it was because musicians were in charge now it’s business folks running the shots. They are only interested in immediate hits to line their pockets instead of cultivating talent for the long haul.
This is my 12 time watching this video. The beat is just too good.
I love Myron, he is on of my favorite dancers
Nobody:
Me:TUUUH! Can't NOBODY SHIMMY LIKE REGGIE!!
Aretha Jackson was the Fashion Queen/ Creator of Soul Train.... Not to mention, Tony Briggs!!!
It looks like so much fun. I was too young so I could only watch it.
You go girl
YOU BETTA SHAKE IT MYRON!!!! This was fun to watch. Oh, and I love Sally.
Where is Myron
@@RUTHE1ONE He has an interview posted on RUclips about 3 weeks ago. Myron Montgomery
Timeless.
Sally, we don't need flashback moments, all we need as my flashback moment is watching you!
I can watch you all day and all night..(If I had the time)...How are the ultrasound classes going?
You were fine then and still fine today!
Rick Carson was not playing👏👏
I LOVE these!!! 😄
We need to hear from Myron!!
I agree.

These segments are dope, so many good memories!
One question: are you guys going to get the tall-looking blonde lady with the big hair from the 80s, who used to do the snake all the time for an interview? I’d love to hear her story.
@Lampkin Dickerson, I have the same question too. She was part of the Soul Train "Vibe" but rarely gets mentioned. She was always "Dressed to the nines" and beautiful while dancing up on the risers. Anyone remember her name? 🤷🏿♂️ I'd love to see and hear a "I was a Soul Train Dancer" story on her. I'd also like to see and hear one on a sister during that period (Early to mid 80's) who was dark-skin color, and she always wore gloves to match her outfits, along with wearing "Shade"' and her signature side pony tail. I'm sure some of us "Old- timers" remember her up on the stage with Lou Ski, Tom- Tom, Otis, Juliette Hagerman, Cheryl, light-skin Crystal (From Chicago), and others. 🙋🏿♂️👏🏿👏🏿😎
Long live Soul Train.
Aretha was that chick, damn she was cold.
Aretha was beautiful af
💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜
Whatever happened too Myron?

I might be in the minority, but I always felt a couple of these male dancers were outdated from 1987 on. Fugasi at it's finest. I was confused as to why they were still on the show and got the limelight. Now that I am older- I get it. They had an audience.
I really want actress and former Soul Train dance Rosie Perez what's wrong with Her!?
@@clarencesimmons8580 Rosie would like to forget that time when she was around black ppl using us as a come up. Once she made it, she never looked back. Only deals with white ppl now. That's what's wrong with Rosie!!
Because they were the ones that could really dance along with some of the so called out dated females that could dance because there were a lot of females that were not dancers just eye candy and a lot of gyrating not dancing so the older dancers kept the show going.
Memories where is guy with red straps on his arms. No interview on him
Anybody know what that first track is?
Party Train - The Gap Band
I don't know how they dance in those high heels ... I noticed like a lot of the women the heels were not that high
