Remember, that I'm saving the items from the landfill and finding someone else to appreciate them. Unfortunately, most of the time the kids don't want it

I love that she read and saved comics.
@@2ndCentsIncAuctionsCleveland its the grown up kids you want to reach. There are lots of us waiting, specially for the comics. List them and I will make an offer for all the ones I want.
Found and subscribed today. Do not listen to people who say you are disrespecting some old lady or man's things. I can not understand why people get storage units in the 1st place. People should donate
This old woman died , please be respectable on her long years of family collecting of stuff. When i pass away, i would want my family or some random picker, to appreciate my things that have been passed along from my great great grandparents. yes, it's just stuff! But to use as money profit , it's meaning full.
I was thinking Sylvia that I don't know if I could buy a unit and just go through someone's personal belongings, their past is in those boxes..When my mom passed away almost five years ago and we had to go through her belongs I felt soooo guilty taking ANYTHING because even though it was my mom I just felt like it wasn't right all of us children just taking things like it was a yard sale..My siblings didn't have one bit of respect for the things that once meant so much to my mom. And as far as getting excited for money and project over a deceased person's personal belongs I find that very disrespectful to the deceased!! I would love to have had those wind chimes and put them in my yard to honor that lady that once loved the sound of them!! And that scrapbook and diary I would also have loved to have and put away just to save them from possibly getting thrown away or torn up..I'm 52 and a VERY sentimental person..
I'd rather see someone like Rob going through all of that to donate some, sell lots, but saving the landfills from big giant drop-offs. He does a lot of good with his finds.
I often have a sense of sadness when I watch these videos. I wish families would let their loved ones know they have storage units, so the items can stay with their family. It is difficult for me to be happy for the guy who buys it and has no history or connection to the photos and heirlooms. Just being honest.
Remember, I am saving the items from the landfill & giving other people a chance to enjoy them. Unfortunately, most people don't want stuff from their relatives only money! However, I appreciate things and thanks for your comments
@@2ndCentsIncAuctionsCleveland That's very true about families mostly want the money. That is really hard for me to understand because I would much rather have something that belonged to my family even if I'm not sure why the have kept something for so many years. There must have been a reason. But you know anyone can find money but only the treasures
Me, too. My mom got dementia and I didn’t know where her storage unit was. She asked for her “ things “ many times. These make me sad. You only see the monetary value. The family might see a beautiful memory…
The quality of your videos and editing has improved over the last serval month. Doing the videos on sight of storage units keep my interest up. Out of all your friends that do this yours is the best.
It's a shame no family could be found, at least the items won't go into landfill and will belong to people who will appreciate them Robert. I'm happy you found some comics for your collection, and there is a lot of new stuff in there. I like the wind chimes, they look great in a garden. I look forward to seeing what else you find in the unit sweetheart, take care and stay safe please, God bless you all love and hugs to you and your lovely family Mary-Ellen UK
Awesome video and love the Barbies. I still have my Barbie from 1958 and Ken from 1962 the Barbie is the one with the bubble hair style. Loved the video 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
hey rob you know from many of my comments that i am Canadian and am always trying to give you the information i can ..........21:30 you are showing a Canadian Dollar Bill that could be worth thousands of dollars as we quit using paper dollar bills back in late 80's to early 90's
Just curious, do you try to give the personal items (photos, paperwork, etc) back to the owners or in this case, the family of the owners? P.S. those crochet blankets and that blue poncho you put on are BEAUTIFUL! 🥰
Lots of cool items I know handmade quilt's are worth alot of money I'm not sure about the croset blankets they should be too and the dolls glad you found the comic's for your collection I can't wait to see what else you find thank you for sharing take care God bless you both 🙏🙏
I have yet to see any money stored in these places. Wonder why she had a storage unit for years, she must have been homeless or lived in a nursing home. Sad situation and I wouldn't be so proud to go through some elderly ladies personal stuff, in fact, I would be embarrassed ! Just my opinion! Ewwwww!
Ashtrays with restaraunt advertising has become extreamly rare due to all the no smoking laws. Hotel ashtrays will soon become extinct and most have no advertising anymore if you do find one.
That stamp book you brought a check with Jeremy see if there's any of those ones that him and George found in their locker especially those red ones and purple ones and green ones
Those dolls that have no mark on them for a date is because 1 they are older than the dating system or 2 they are handmade. You can buy all the pieces necessary to do so
People get old and they can't survive off the peanuts they get in social security. So they can't pay for housing anymore. They then take all their belongings and put them in storage hoping someday they will be able to reclaim them and bring them to their new home Sadly, they pass away after closing their housing. It hurts me deeply vto see all this woman's precious stuff gone through by strangers. I am sure if she was up to date on the storage fees, that stuff would have gone to the next of kin. They probably couldn't bring any of her relatives or family so it became the property of the storage facility. It's sad but that's the way the system works.
Although you seem to have great sense of humour, Once it is in front of the world you should be more gentle with your attitude to personal stuff!!!!! And respect RESPECT
you storage war people just amaze me sometimes why do you even have to say that the elderly woman passed away and she paid on this thing for years why do you have to say that. That’s just so tacky. So you got a good deal in a storage unit at the expense of the dead old lady. Geez have some couth about yourself.
Yes like vultures all about the money and value. Flinging around personal letters and diaries and being bummed out when she wrote about her Mother dying. It's so sad.

I like to think she had a universal concept of kids, so our rummaging is better than no kids at all.

Lip stick samples are likely from Avon. She probably sold it.
Wow awesome unit except for one thing lol🤙🤙🤙🤙 I know you know what I’m talking about 😂
You have the best luck
Those were beautiful crocheted blankets. I used to make a bunch of them.
Seriously.... You missed the black lockbox in the wooden drawers left hand side were the drawer is missing in side the hole 😜😉
See, women can have cool stuff, too! Enjoy your Batman comics💖
About 15:41 looked like a paycheck and an attached paystub between pages of the book!
Always have to laugh when you try hats or clothes on. Something I would do if I was going through a unit 🙃
🙏🏼 these are not a symbol of praying hands those are high fives..
Hello Rob

There was something in that book I saw it to

The majority of this stuff is worth nothing to someone else. It is just mainly stuff that needs to be given or thrown away.
Check the envelopes, there may be gift cards. My mom put hers in her drawer for safe keeping.
I check that dollar bill. Some are worth money.
Thanks for the information Tina
