There are simulators like X-plane and Microsoft flight simulator that require HEAPS of financial investment + a high end gaming laptop and then there are free ones that are so unrealistic, they have fictional aircraft, poor graphics and bad physics. This simulator falls somewhere in the middle for those of us who either can't invest much or don't have a high end computer, but still want something realistic. FlightGear offers a wide range of aircraft from the likes of Boeing, Airbus, McDonnel Douglas, Lockheed Martin and more. The simulator includes most locations and airports around the world as well as all variations of conditions.
