BBC Enterprises Ltd was established in 1979 by the BBC as a new umbrella company for their commercial arms. Until 1979, each BBC department had responsibility for their commercial sections.
The music in this vhs ident is very similar and sounds familiar to a piece of music that was used in roger and the rottentrolls from children’s itv in the opening titles intro where Martin Clunes the narrator is talking about Merlin and Merlin’s saying “aaaah, those rottentrolls have messed it all up.”
@@jmvirgfb I remember this being the intro to both the Animated Alphabet and Animated Numbers videos yet I wish they could be on DVD somehow and they would still be the same as they used to be in 1989 and 1992 since they made their release debut back in my younger years to my heyday of life as memorable classics
1988 was the year this logo was first used for BBC's videos, whilst the ident itself was first introduced as BBC1's ident in February 1985. Finally being stopped on 15 February 1991 in favour of the stylised 1 ident.
I remember back when I watched Fireman Sam for the first time on BBC Video, The Globe spins and reforms back to World Map.

I'm afraid we don't have the name of the track.

Taken from ("Numberblocks & Alphablocks: Blocks Universe: the Movie")

Did that track ever have a name or have a full version released?
Probably a library track rather than something composed specially like the Star Ident one in the 70’s and early 80’s.
its sampled at the start of this or its very similar ruclips.net/video/WNFXu24gDgA/видео.html
