Hello, this is SoloWilder stove - the maker of the hot tent pellet stove in the video, here are the reasons and solutions for the problems in the video: 1. The reason why the pellets cannot be completely burned: the ash after the pellets are burned needs to slowly fall from the gap to the ash hopper. The blogger showed that the pellets are not burned at the bottom because the pellets at the bottom have finished burning. The burnt ash blocked the gap, causing the pellet ash to not fall down in time, affecting the falling of new particles above it. As long as the Automatic pellet feeding device is filled with combustible pellets, the combustible part of the entire pellet will It will be fully burned. If the shooting time is when it just starts burning, we can see that the particles in the entire hollow groove can be burned. When the particles are almost burned out, the flame will appear like the blogger The same combustion occurs with only the upper flame. 2. Blackening of the glass: There are certain reasons for the curved furnace tube. The smoke that should be discharged upward is squeezed at the first section of the furnace tube, and the smoke that should be discharged quantitatively is restricted. If it can be discharged in sufficient quantity, This problem can be avoided by discharging it. This is one reason. Then the burned ash material does not fall into the ash hopper in time, allowing more new particles to fall and burn, resulting in the firepower in the furnace becoming smaller. After the firepower becomes smaller, the ones underneath are burned out. There will be no flames in the particles, and more of the residual heat will cause black smoke to emit. But don’t worry, as long as you control the firepower in the furnace, you can avoid this problem. 3. Number of furnace tubes: We are already discussing this issue, because 4 furnace tubes can be completely installed into the furnace body and are more convenient to carry. If everyone likes more furnace tubes, we can solve this problem later. At present, if you want more furnace tubes, you can go to our store to purchase according to your needs. If you have any suggestions or questions about our products, you are welcome to communicate with us and update your suggestions and support.
I’m not following the ash problem and the fire only being at the top of the burn chamber, please explain that more. How can the ashes not falling be solved? As for the elbows. The stove itself has one 180 degree turn and then a 90 degree turn. Adding elbows shouldn’t affect the burn as long as there is enough pipe afterwards to produce a good draw. After the elbows I have 5 more feet of pipe that I have added myself. So in total it has 7 feet of chimney. I will try adding more pipe and also using only straight chimney to see if that solves the blackening of the glass. Thanks for watching the video and I’m always interested in more stoves.
I wanted to express my appreciation for the information provided here. As someone who recently made a purchase of a different pellet stove on Amazon, the number of pipes included was a significant factor in my decision-making process. It ultimately influenced me to choose the other stove, as it offered a lower price and included all necessary components in a single purchase. After watching this video, I must say there are many excellent points highlighted that resonate with me as a frequent hot-tent camper. The insights have been valuable in understanding the features and benefits of the product. Best regards!
@solowilder9855 - I bought this exact stove, I used it once and now I can't get the stove pipes to separate from the stove or from each other. I can stand on the stove and pull up with all my strength and not remove any of the stove pipes. Any suggestions on how to remove these?
Yes I saw that. That is why I was questioning the way they did it. Over the years of watching home made pellet feeders , they always go towards the chimney. Your videos have me interested in buying one again. Thanks again.
Watch my overnight with this one. It’s like camping in a blizzard or something like that. I had trouble with it over night. My favorite pellet stove is the giraffe stove with their pellet attachment. Has never given me a problem.
Glad I saw this! I still think the first one is a beast. I keep the hopper full to avoid smoke by wake up every 3 or so hours & just always dump the ash catch before going to bed. Thanks for the review brother!
I’m glad you saw it too. I’ve have heard from another company that the hoper shouldn’t be allowed to get empty so best practice maybe to fill it every few hours. I agree the first one is a beast! You’re welcome and thanks for watching

I used one of these pellet stoves on a recent winter camp with a 20' bell tent. It was no where near enough to keep the tent warm as a traditional wood stove. (10-15 degrees warmer from outside temp) The burn times are great for the size of the hopper. My pipes had major issues with creating creosote. Same issue with the flame quickly going to a low burn as the bottom pellets do not fully burn and fill up the ash catcher. Unless you are using a screwdriver or ground stake to stoke the pellets. Is this simply an airflow to the basket and maybe having a larger stove pipe to get heat output? The amount of flame this stove puts out is more open flame than a kerosene heater, and those heaters will heat a 20' bell tent to 60-65 degrees with outside temps at 26-35 degrees. Is the solution simply having direct outside airflow?
No if it’s exactly like this one, it’s the stove. I have one now that burns great. I’ll be posting it soon. This one needs a redesign in my opinion. Thanks for watching

I mentioned this stove burning all night? It’s been a while since I’ve used it but I can’t remember if it actually did or not. If so, I would imagine it was such a low burn it didn’t keep it extremely warm by any means. I have another pellet stove that I’ve burned over night many times and that’s a good burn. As for a 12x20, I don’t think this would do the trick by itself. If you have two, one on each end, that would work better. Thanks for watching

@erickellner5622 still waiting for a response from you.
7 months later and the stove is still unavailable wtf!!!
Hopefully I’ll be reviewing more soon. Thanks for watching
Why make rules to enter the grill contest if you yourself don't follow the rules?
Nothing more irritating to me than someone who gets an opportunity to or does get something for free and they complain.
I make the rules so I do what I want lmao. I feel it’s not fair to leave anyone out if they add more words to the comment. I’ll do better next time. Thanks for watching
@@BrooklynneMuffettgo to work tomorrow and tell your boss "I'll do what I want when I want because fuck rules"
Go cry to someone who gives a fuck about what you find annoying.
Nice shadow ban on my follow up
@@stephenbarabas6286 huh?
Exhaust is way too short, asking for problems
I did add more pipe than were included. I’ll add more and see if it increases draw and fixes the fire problem. Thanks for watching
I like to see a pellet stove something like this but with a fresh cold air intake
You mean with a pipe from the outside feeding the stove? Thanks for watching
@AdventureswithSpackmann yes a pipe feeding fresh oxygen directly into stove,
Not for a tent, for a shop or garage idea.
@@jeremywallace1215 hmm sounds interesting. I have done this with a wood stove and hot tent before. Worked well to not feel drafts from anywhere
Where's the exhaust stack
It comes out behind the hopper. Thanks for watching
