I keep looking at that model over on Cults. I've got a huge, huge pile of unpainted grey resin already, but I'll probably buy it sooner or later, it's been on my wish-list for a while. I wonder if I could add ball-joints or swivels to it to make it poseable? Just a thought.
@@herculeholmes504 I have tried in the past to make a more posable framework for my mechs. Regular, more brittle resins don't like my solutions to this, so far. I will keep plugging away at it. For now, I have found that pinning or a mix of glue and putty is best, but the pose is locked in position. Best, JBR
An honest review, Elgoo should be happy, seriously. There's some great feedback there for the next iteration. Knight looks great too, I can't believe that happened at the end.
A few tips to help you out- 1- Boil some water, dip your parts with the supports attached briefly into the water, the supports will fall off easy and leave far less supports marks. 2- Buy Super Glue kicker, instantly activates the glue, and no mess like baking soda.
How has your heating band held up? I am trying out a heat pad meant for reptile enclosures. It will be a funny setup but I'm interested to see if yours holds up with the weird tilts.
Hello mate, excellent print. Are you able to share with me your settings? I'm really struggling with printing anything big. Did you change any of the wait times? What was your exposure?
Watching this while changing a FEP. :D Awesome work and very inspiring. I've got an Anycubic X2. Waiting for the next big leap to jump on a new printer. The X2 is going pretty wel...... let me get back to you after changing the FEP... haha Thanks for the vid!
I was looking at this printer but in the end went with the M7 for all the reasons you pointed out. M7 is so fast it blew my mind. defiantly made the right choice.
Do you know if it it's a decent idea to have the saturn 4 ultra on my bedroom if I use a fume extractor like yours + I have the printer inside a still air glove box?. I would like the toxicity to be close to 0% as I would be spending a lot of time in the bedroom My idea is to have everything on the Glove Box (Printer + cure/wash station + Tools)
You're the first reviewer I've seen showing that you can have more than four test models on the build plate. That make the feature even better. I expect you (or someone else) could design a better build plate that is more standard. I've got a Saturn 4 Ultra myself and may take on that challenge. I'll try printing it with carbon fiber reinforced PET and if that's not strong enough I'll have some parts fabricated by PCB Way.
3d printed mechs knees are normally much weaker then glue, being able to fuse the parts together is much better. I have never had a problem with John’s files they all work amazing for me and my stock mono 2 settings. I’m pretty happy that the only issue with his files is something most files do. I really recommend supporting him even if it’s just downloading his free files, he certainly deserves it and is one my inspirations for getting into sculpting and printing models.
Wow ! I can't believe that happened at the end ! I know you are not a review chanel but I'm looking for a large 3D printer to upgrade from my 2020 Saturn, is the 8K S a good printer? Or should I go with the Jupiter SE?

Thanks mate! Shoot down to your local dump and see if there's a bit for hazardous waste (I don't think that's what it's called exactly but I can't remember right now) if not it'll be easier to ask the boys there where you can dispose of it
Also once I'm done with mine I pour it back into the empty bottles that I keep and leave it outside in the sun to evaporate and cure, in winter I let it evaporate and then cure the remnants in the bottle in the curing station
