This is almost exactly, well it is exactly, what I use in fast motorbike riding - because on no other vehicle are the control inputs so intrinsically linked to the operator - looking where you want to go is fine, but knowing where you need to be is even better. This is how I've taught it to bikers in the past; having a clear vision of where you were, where you are now and where you need to be afterwards through a corner. The turn-in, apex, and exit points are moot unless you have this 'map' to work with. Really good video as always man!
DangerNoodle very well said, I’d be into bikes more but I’d have already ruined my body haha. I love when I randomly catch some bike racing though, massive respect for those guys 👍🏻
@@KameTrick I own and run a 2015 Fireblade, Triumph Tiger 1200 XT and a Honda XR400R. And I've had more injuries from biking in the last 2 years than I'd had in the 33 years preceeding haha. But I love it. Plus yknow, drifting was invested by a biker so.... Best of both worlds I'd say.
@@KameTrick 'backing it in' its called and its a super delicate balance bwtween braking hard enough that the rear wheel is barely in the ground and counter-steering the bike into the turn (without wiping out). If you fancy a bike going sideways in the wet treat, search 'Kiyonari at Rainy Donington' he was a Japanese born British Super Bikes racer of the mid 2000s. Incredible to watch.
Piece of what I like about Battle Ridge is that you can see through a good chunk of the corners, like in order to practice this stuff somewhat, but it still feels touge style where death is pretty much assured if I screw up too bad lol Cool being able to drill on specific skillset type stuff without having to worry too much about full on blind hairpins 😅🤙
Aaron Jenkinson yeah, blind turns on Touge roads make it much harder to do...the same basic concepts apply but you can’t choose nearly as many visual reference points when there’s a mountainside in the way😅 W gotta run BattleRidge again soon 🤘🏻
I got a Oculus rift. First driving on akina, then tried drifting the WDTS r32. The rest of the day i got a headache but ypu can really look ahead and get presicer drifts.
A. H. Definitely being able to see around corners helps a lot, especially with drifting. VR, triple monitors, Real Head Motion/CSP Neck FX, or head tracking are all good options to help with that 👍🏻
Unruly Chad thanks! I use Premiere Pro cause it’s what I’m used to, but really the lions share of the work in this case was OBS-the demo clips are all from one of my recent livestreams ✌🏻
Yoshi 33 this is Project Kaido’s version of Irohazaka. It’s a paid mod, was $6 at the time I bought it...has the full uphill and downhill routes...these clips are from the downhill
roxxel shoot, I actually don’t remember this track. I think it might have been a Fuji Speedway track but I’m not sure the exact name. In general the KUNOS official “drift” track, and Drift Playground are solid places to start, and if you check out the tracks in my AC drift bash videos you’ll probably find more that you like. I usually say the track name in the video opening (the only reason this one doesn’t have it is because it’s clipped from the middle of a Twitch stream)
@@KameTrick Thanks a lot! I ended up finding out by joining a server and realizing the track looked familiar. I'll definitly check out more of your videos soon. :]
Eskalibur Zelio not completely consistently, but I do some in this video. I also do big slower drifts some in this video but if you watch it you’ll see a few😅 ruclips.net/video/DEzl063wdWM/видео.html

Underrated channel, the quality is astonishing.
Pablex thank you! The production quality could be lots better TBH, but I think the info is pretty legit😅 Thanks for watching!

DangerNoodle bike drift entries are the raddest thing I’ve ever seen a wheeled vehicle do, hands down ❤️

Very good information for new-ish drifters.,
Gonna share this on discord.
Please do, thank you for the shoutouts!
Where to look when drifting: look at the other pretty jdm cars on the track, thats where i always look
I was truly in awe with all the car models when i first got into the good mods
Never a bad plan to scope out the sliding car show 💯
great video!
lab zee thanks, I appreciate it! There’s plenty more tutorials and tandem sessions in my video library 🤙🏻
Thank you!😊

Hey! I'm a bit new to assetto corsa drifting, could you tell me what tracks this is? Do you also know any other fun/good for learning tracks?
