@@chrisyoung3146 Thank you so much!! It actually took me several attempts of quitting to finally stop. Every time I relapsed, my withdrawals would get worse and worse and I started experiencing sleep paralysis. Every time I smoked I would get extreme anxiety and paranoia and would have the worst intrusive thoughts. I finally accepted that it just wasn’t for me and was doing me more harm than good. On top of having asthma and acid reflux it was making my physical health worse. I prayed for complete deliverance after I finished the last of my weed. I was very apprehensive about my withdrawals and asked God to help with with that specifically, I surrendered completely and was honest about what I was struggling with and my fears! I haven’t had any withdrawals or craving since as I said, and no sleep paralysis either praise the Lord! I was so used to being high all the time and my favorite time of the day used to be when I smoked. I was heavily reliant on getting high and the numbing feeling since I have dealt with depression and anxiety a majority of my life along with suicid@l ideation. And I can confidently tell you that my anxiety has gone down tremendously and I haven’t experienced any suicid@l thoughts or depression so far. Everyone’s story and journey is different, of course. I hope this can give you some motivation to keep going the next time you quit! Just ask God what you need help with and he will answer you!! God bless you and may he give you strength ❤️‍🔥
(Also, Ive been consistent with reading the word and I find that reading my bible has become my new favorite part of my day. :))

I pray every day that God will take away my desire for cannabis (if it's truly a sin) and turn it into a stronger desire for Him. My brain doesn't produce as much natural dopamine as regular people and cannabis fills the void. The only reason people self medicate is to provide themselves with the peace and comfort their body denies them. If God supplements that with HIS joy, love, and comfort, there would be no need for US to supplement it ourselves.

I want to share my testimony:
I was a musician in my city. I chased my fleshly desires and I found some success. I had a band and was performing and touring every weekend in bars and all the rest. smoking drinking doing all kinds of drugs, having sex with random people etc. This lifestyle lead me to my lowest point. I found myself in jail. I was in jail for weeks and my first night there was a Bible in my cell. I fasted and prayed and seeker God with all my heart mind and soul and read His Bible from the first page. The Holy Spirit totally filled my body and changed my heart and name in a real way. All my mental issues were healed. My addictions were gone. Demons were cast out. Jesus totally saved me and revealed Himself to me. Since that moment, I have totally turned my back on that lifestyle and have only lived to glorify God and share His Gospel. he can do the same for you. I am the best I have ever been and feel more free and full of joy than I thought possible. God is real and He loves you. Pray to Him. He offers peace, healing, and endless joy.
I was smoking all day every day to function and Jesus healed me in an instant through His Holy Spirit. Today I am 12 weeks sober

Key word "sober." The enemy wants you to justify smoking weed. We are to be self disciplined in all areas of our lives. We don't need anything outside ourselves to enhance our reality. We are self sufficient in Christ's sufficiency.

It's not logical to say you get HIGH from a few hits, but not DRUNK from a few sips. If the Bible gives an all clear to consume alcohol in moderation, there should be no issue with consuming weed in moderation. I recognize my current condition, and my shortcomings make me want the Lord more. If we minimize our shortcomings and rationalize them, it takes away from the weight of sin and what Christ did for us on the cross. If Jesus wouldn’t do it, I don’t think we should justify it. I don’t believe Jesus would smoke weed.
If it wasn’t prescribed by a doctor, it’s not medicinal don’t fool yourself.
The sins that we generally agree are clearly sin, are justified by those communities in the same manner that we justify weed. The true root of it is, we like it and don’t want to stop so we justify it so we don’t have to change.

It’s not wrong to want to feel relief, to relax, to lift your spirits, but we shouldn’t go straight to drugs or alcohol to feel that sense of relief. There are other things we can do to “feel” better. First go before the Lord and then go down the list of self care. Self care often doesn’t involve drugs(medicine) or alcohol. From my own experience, getting high because you are bored isn’t a good idea. Absorbing THC often without the purpose to treat a health symptom can open you up to many problems, spiritual and physical, resulting in real life consequences. Weed isn’t bad, it’s how the man uses it. This goes for all drugs and alcohol. We need to remember self control, enjoy soberness often, and pray for each other.

If they are used outside of that, and without further considerations of other treatment options, then you’re venturing into substance abuse territory.

Addicted? Equally ridiculous. Cannabis is no more addictive than doughnuts. I've used tons of the stuff. I ran out one day and never bothered restocking because I had other priorities. I didn't want to spend the money on it. Haven't smoked in two years. Don't know when I will again. Doesn't much matter. I'm a busy guy. Anyone "addicted" to cannabis is merely immature and has too much time on their hands.
This guy says he has two family members "who had to be in mental hospitals from it." No, he doesn't. Obviously he has mental illness running in the family. That happens.
As to what it does, is that drunkenness? Well, no, it isn't. People react to it differently. Some become sillier because they are foolish people, and that foolishness is amplified. Others become contemplative because they are at core contemplative people. Some may go dancing and be vacuous, because they are ditzy, unserious people to start with.
