I bought Mughateer and Al Bashiq when they first came out, i absolutely love them. Mughateer is so unique and beautiful, so, so good. Reminds me of being in the deser on a cool, clear, perfectly still morning - the smell of leather from a camel saddle and a beautiful hint of rose. Can't wait to wear it again when the weather gets cooler. Al Bashiq is amazing too - the best incense note i've smelt with a balsamic citrus - addictive! They were both only £26. I'd love to pick up crown of Emirates, but that seems to be more pricey for some reason.
hi i hope you're well, i'd like to have some information about maghateer by nabeel, for my part i'm a person who doesn't like animal oud to sum up well i don't like oud in general, is maghateer a very animal oud perfume? or is it a perfume where you smell the oud from beginning to end? Or is it something else? I'm 32, can I wear it or is it a perfume for people over 40? Thanks for answering and take care.
@@BigBoss-bi8qd no it is not funky/skanky oud. Mostly you get a strong leather note with a hint of rose petals. I'm generally not a fan of rose, but this is not massively rosey.
Hello IFi, my perfume arrive a couple of hours ago and I love it! So smooth and complex. I have already gone and ordered Al Bashiq for my husband, although we share many of our fragrances. I hope it will be as beautiful ❤️
I’m so glad you enjoy it as much as I do. I have Al Bashiq in the basket, just one tap away from purchasing it. Please let me know what so you think of it when it arrives 🙏🏻
Hello IFi, I thought I would let you know my thoughts regarding Bashiq. Bashiq is a much more challenging fragrance than Maghateer. The opening is very citrusy in a medicinal way. At first I thought I had made a mistake with this blind buy and after reading the reviews on Fragrantica I almost certainly wouldn’t have purchased it if I had read them first. However if you persevere and leave it to settle it becomes much softer and after an hour or so it leaves you with the most beautiful and intoxicating smell. This is one that needs to be sprayed lightly and from a distance until you get used to the notes. I’m so happy I bought it.
Thank you for the informative description, sounds like a typical medicinal rose oud combo in the opening, but very glad to hear that it turns out to be an equally beautiful fragrance. Will buy it myself as these are some of the most exciting fragrances I have put my nose on in a while.
Hi ifi i have just purchased this waiting f it t arrive after watching this video ,,also lataffa ramz silver i purchased wow what a smell f the price all the best phil from Shropshire 👍
Thank you Ifi, tried it today! It's a classy and complex frag. Bold and subtle at same time (somehow) opening reminds me of J.Del Pozzo's Arabian nights e.d.t. but much more refined. Great find thank you keep up the great work!
Arabians are way ahead then french in perfumery . They are far more skilled when it comes to real complex perfumery , they've been playing with very complex notes/ingredients for way too long. The problem is most western people have only tried clones or the very low end fragrances from that region. You should try their high end fragrances and you will know what I am talking about.
I have Al Bashiq from the "low end" brand and Meydan from the Spirit of Dubai "high end" brand, and they both do indeed smell very very similar. However I must say that Meydan's ingredients are of higher quality than Al Bashiq. The notes in Meydan just develop better and are more sophisticated. Nevertheless, I would say Al Bashiq is most definitely an excellent replacement and representation of Meydan for a significantly lower price.
hi ifi how are you? whats about quality juice; is it like a designer like ysl or jpg or armani ? or the quality is like armaf or afnan or rasasi or lattafa ? or they have same quality of arabian oud
Good to see you again brother ❤
Enjoyed your reviewing this one - much appreciated.
I got this Maghateer one, the Asateer and the other called Al Bashik. I keep mixing them and keep a unique smell overall. Just amazing! 😊

great review, even better at 1.5x :D
Thanks for the review.
That cap looks a bit kitschy, though. Like some souvenir from a holiday in Egypt, you know :)
Pease.... could you give the link of the seller. Cheers.

I would say quality is above the typical middle eastern fragrance but lower quality than arabian oud.
