Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
11/10 good content
9/10 for me now and I laughed
10/10
10, but I like to follow the stock market as I have owned some stock.
Cheers to Roaring Kitty. Man changed the game forever. A humble dude who just wanted to make money, to play a rigged game fairly. And he, not intentionally, played a hand in exposing how fucked the market is. How hedge funds are manipulating the game, and politicians use insider trading only to enrich themselves. George Carlin said it best: “they want more for themselves and less for everyone else!”.
I miss George Carlin. I've been circling back to rewatch a few of his bits lately, as some of the points he made have become relevant again and more true now than ever. Wish I could hear his take on the current times. He was like a philosopher who could consistently make me laugh. The world has less joy without him.
THAT'S YOU MOM
Channeled Sandler for that one
this is the most regarded movie clip i've ever seen
They made him look like an oddball, why? He was very confident and professional throughout the entire hearing
I started my journey almost 3 years ago during this period. I never stopped learning. I chart 12-20 hours a day. I believe in the things Trey and Jackson talked about all the time regarding financial freedom. I am almost there and hope to do my part to help the little guy like myself, see exactly how the market patterns work. I am going to change the world. God bless everyone.
I'll try to help you whenever I'm in a place that allows me to. Will take time. Obviously.
Me too. Never quit. We will get there one day. Maybe we will bump into each other in our yachts.
Hanging on to this before the 21st
Should I buy into this before then?
I’m with you buddy
All of the questions the congressmen asked him he should asked them the same questions about their stock transactions, particularly Nancy Pelisoli.
She has had inside help I. Remember her selling her telsa stock before the market dipped hard before covid crash.
He looks more like the Vlad Tenev than RoaringKitty
This movie was criminally underrated, only nitpicks was a little too much reliance on the social media clips and traditional media clips to tell the narrative of the story. Maybe cut back two of those montages. Also maybe a little more character insight into some of the big wolfs in the movie like Steve Cohen and Vlad.
the reliance on social media clips is intentional. i mean how else would you be able to depict Reddit's total invasion of the stock market? newspapers on New York?
That wasn't the only aspect that was criminal. Robinhood halting trading because the hedges were losing too much money too fast was absolutely insane. That's the type of behavior that could cause the public to rise as one and slay them 😂.
They get paid obscene amounts for taking risks, if the risk is capped, so should be the compensation. It's so fkd, and no one is ever held accountable. Who knew what, and when? What laws were broken (as there certainly was some)? Why ever change this behavior is it never gets checked, or only results in a 'cost of doing business' level fine.
Btw, I'd like to see a whole movie on steve cohen, not because he's a great guy, but because he's so reclusive and has an interesting story. Billions was loosely based on him, but doesn't do it justice. Seeing how social media had so much to do with Keith gill, I feel much of those cutaways were appropriate. They aren't called 'meme stocks' for nothing.
Patrick Boyle's recent vid on 'financial narcissism' explains the social media link quite nicely.
A friend of mine has worked on steve Cohen's house in Greenwich ct, and I've been there once helping him. It's crazy, it's like a college campus. The word 'house' doesn't even fit or do it justice. My friend that has dealt with him personally said he's a quirky guy, good sense of humor.
The sackler family (oxycontin manufacturers) lives in the same area. Plus some other big names. All private roads with (miles of) private coastline, and weird stuff like private zoo's, and an indoor basketball court that the floor drops down and it becomes a swimming pool. It's like everyone has their own private Disneyland for a house. My friend got hired to stand up these massive outdoor metal sculptures that blew over in hurricane sandy. He said one of them was $15m. It just makes my head spin.
One estate was sold last year to some billionaire, he cut the fulltime caretaker's salary in half. Nevermind that the caretaker has a family, does good work for the last 25 yrs, and the billionaire is a billionaire, he wanted to save on property costs, so naturally, screw the little guy. It's such a big deal to the poor caretaker, and such small potatoes to the billionaire, but some are just so ruthless they dont care. Makes me wonder what the point of having billions is, if you're still going to be the miserable prick worrying about pennies
The last video Roaring Kitty of Cheers everyone in the movie on RUclips true story.
It’s funny to me that they had to make him less charismatic to fit the story better.
What a bloody legend...
i like that the stock broker thinks the dude had inside information. and he just goes: i have no idea that would happen
"what a nerd"
Lol this is awesome
After that epic trial scene, her saying “You’re a fucking gangster” always give me chills because she affirmed what we, the audience, were thinking. And that’s fantastic writing IMO.
He sounds like the dark footage guy
10/10 great movie
Paul killed it
I remember reading in Wall Street Journal, after the smoke cleared, that Gill quietly sold his Gamestop shares and made $33 million before it bottomed out. While everyone else on Wall Street Bets where encouraging each other to "hold the line" "Diamond hands" and so on.
I like Gamestop, but i am glad i didn't jump in to all the hype. It was looking too much like a pump and dump .
womp womp
Haha they lied
I hope you're aware that his current GameStop exposure including derivatives is hovering around $250 MILLION. So ya I dont exactly think he abandoned the apes
Why am i watching airobus flying at Wall Street at full speed?...
Well regarded
i love how movies always have to make everything darker in tone and sadder lol
Crazy that he's now being sued.
Fucking gangsta
the fact when the poor make money they get investigated is what is wrong with this world
great movie
All hail ICT .
Diamond hands to $DOGS
its not a dead cat. not "im not a cat".
Why does everything have to be more dramatic in film lol he acted nothing like that
i honestly dont understand why THE JEWS didnt off him...I am glad they didnt but I am surprised they didnt try
This was a horrible rendition of the actual house hearing. Go watch the real one, Roaring Kitty was more direct, confident and they left out the “hang in there” poster in the background!! Keith Gill put much more thought into his testimony including the story of his sister who had just recently passed away…this movie was GARBAGE. Go and watch his videos if you’re inspired by him…
Alright bro calm down
Yeah as if congress doesnt do inside trading.😊
why is his face to huge
Those Lesbians were the worst part of this entire movie they were so pointless and their net worth was nothing impressive enough to be included in a movie. They were super annoying and beyond cringy
Disappointing directing here
Weak af performance. Keith gill was full of confidence and bravado. This guy just behaves like a wet firecracker. He looked more like that vlad guy in real life.
“Hai lyke the stok”
This movie is stupid asf
why
@@sidsrivastava6987 this isnt how it went down, the movie sees RoaringKitty as a joke. When its wallstreet and the media that were the joke, thats what makes the GME event iconic.
We are here now. 😊
