12:30 "Where's the push? Where's the followup?" You called for a push into a pincer against a flank with only two exposed enemies, and a whole line of tangos with full height and cover advantage. Simply put, you charged into certain death with a group of slow, juicy high priority targets. The raw firepower loss eclipsed your early numerical advantage as a consequence and lost your team that game. Ah well, hindsight.
If you go back and look Bara also lost his side torso and heat did him in more than anything. I think once that Quickdraw poked and got hammered, Bara and friends needed to make their push then. Their delay gave Reds a chance to reposition, whereas a fast push on the heels of that Quickdraw possibly would have caught them off guard.
The first game showed the team share armor and rolling up the enemy. The team was aggressive, but not too aggressive. Beautifully done. Second game...pfft!
I'd check what happens damage/performance-wise if you swap out the SRMAs with MRM10s; with the armor values you used the MRM sidegrade would give you enough additional slots to put in another heat sink and enough free weight to bump up your ammo counts (6 tons - up to you how you'd distribute it). Not as front-loaded in damage and slightly lower damage per salvo, true but - MRM10s are in a really good spot now in terms of volley duration and missile spread. I truly believe the ability to engage earlier is totally worth the trade-offs vs SRM6s, I went thru all my builds that used SRM6 and sidegraded them to MRM10s. When you get to brawling range I feel MRM10s is as good, or even better than SRM6 in terms of spread
Hmm that's an interesting thought, I haven't tried the MRM10 since the patch. You have me wondering if the new MRM10 has obsoleted the SRM4 w/ Artemis.
I just recently finished the free mech event and with my new mech bay I built my first Piranha-3 build with a 78 damage alpha strike. I have the lasers spilt into 2 weapon groups to avoid ghost heat and I just fire one after the other. Running 6 heavy medium lasers and the rest ER micro lasers to fill out the rest of the hardpoints I've found that the heavy lasers seem better for backstabbing over pulse lasers if you only need 1 or 2 alpha strikes anyway usually on a (hopefully) unaware opponents rear CT, the mech is a little frail but if you play it true to the backstab codex then you'll do well and live long.
That Massive Center Torso is why I never got the King Crab. Great looking Mech, great weapon layouts for it etc. Just can't do that massive CT. I've killed like half a dozen at least with My Urbie. Run in between those arms, and hug the face, King Crabbies can't do a thing...
I went with a light 300 engine 4 snubnosed (two in each arm) and 2 medium pulse lasers (one in each arm) and an LBX20 for the shoulder mount, the rest is ammo and heat sinks as I remember
Soo I just picked up this mech, I've been trying to work out a build with 3 light PPCs in each arm. Currently I'm running a light engine, ams, and 2 lbx2s and it's kind of working? It may play better for someone that doesnt go it the exact wrong direction EVERY SINGLE GAME... Either way, loving it.
I am actually running 6 SnPPCs as the grouping on the claws is tight. Obviously I can't shoot all 6 at once. But you can shoot 3 and 3 pretty close together plus the recharge is fast so you can get all 60 damage on a single point in like 1.5 secs. With a light 325 engine and 18 Dbl Heat sinks your heat is very manageable.
I have a ridiculous build I'd like you to try. I have a DeathStrike MadCat Mk2 with 6x ER Lg Lasers @ 1.38 cooling effectiveness. Give that one a shot, I just melt people with it
Why cant I build this mech? I have the kaiju, but I cant fit everything that you have, even with the light 350 engine?? Also I get the heat warning for 3 snub nose ppc's but I can use 3 er ppc's???? 3 erppc with srm6 + art and rotary ac5, 1200 shots with the ac5, 250 shots with the srm 6
I believe this build is poorly effective, it's too hot. In the II game you mostly overheated to death, and that's why I don't like brawling build with poor heat management, they are evry limited. Even the first game, for a normal player should have been an easy overheat suicide.
Bara: leads his team into a killbox
Also Bara: Why are we losing?

Face tank build! Once they add the mobility patch bawling will really be back for sure.
The games are already more "brawly" then they have been in a long time. Utter chaos and it's been great.
12:20 fine day for steamed crabs =D
yeah sure somebody else got the kill, but that crab would be cooked in a few sec anyway :D
Brawlers are definitely my favorite! Exciting!

Great Assault mech-ing! Thanks, Bara!
Game 2 death i think was a combination of backshots and overheat damage
Actually didn’t get shot in back back armor pristine, overheat took his ct to orange his front armor was red, hit once then died
Backshots be a pretty interesting choice of language but then again I'm from the magistracy of Canopus so it means something different ❤
Oh that paint job! 😍
this works on the Atlas Kraken wonderfully!
@12:22 *Massive overheat spike*
"This is fine... ish." 😂🤣😂

DAMN. Gotta play this before the nerf hits the SnubPPC.
that last game you were cooking yourself big time

wut? someone tried to do that to my King Crab last week... he got melted
@@TheHUEZOX Lol idk man, I do it all the time to King Crabbers. Many just panic I guess...
Yes, finally a KGC build!
Nice build :)
Great Video! Thank You!
On the boardgame, yeah. Total brawler. These mechs are just plain deadly with a good gunner.

I love the skin on this crab lol
The crab is a monstrous build
I love Brawling too.

DA DADADAAA DA DADADAAA DA DAADADADAAA DADADADADAAAA (sorry that was me singing the a team theme lol)

The Kaiju is an great mech 👍
"mmh, AC20, ok. Srms, standard... wait ppc on the hand? alright, interest- THREE?!" Those first seconds were a ride already xD
As badass the firepower is on this build the convergence seems obnoxious as fuck except on open terrain. Like jesus.
What does rear loaded pinpoint damage look like.
Gauss rifles. ;P
King Carb my fav!!!
Love this build. -SURUBAMAN
u better show this build on a maps like Canyon or Polars yeah.
this crab was overcooked somewhat.
jeager peaked at the worst time
I do not understand why do You strip your shield arm so much. Slightly smaller engine would not hurt your speed.
A-team
second match....when you bring a brawler and the rest of your team is lrm
KGC is an open field mech, like the Nightstar. PGI has made it utterly useless in urban combat.
Not exactly, one of my KGCs excel in areas like Solaris City and HPG basement. Guaranteed shredder with mrms, pulses, and mgs for cqc dominance.

ow
First !
Another Big Dick Alpha build. Yay. Love the vid, Baradul, but imo this patch sucked.
Hep
King crab is still a crap mech.
