Well, its my theory but i think I may be right. I can create a video about it on my channel. It's about the additional rotation that glass is giving to the bullet. If the target stands much further than object which is causing this rotation it should change the actual way very significantly.

My squad and I play interchange a lot, and although it seems reasonable to assume that it's merely the glass refracting rounds, I've personally experienced many instances in which glass acts weirdly, like getting headshot by a single round through glass while standing in the book store. Not outside the store, inside it. I was a good 5 meters away but I still got clapped through it, when only the top of my head was showing, this was confirmed by my teammate. On another occasion, the same teammate mag dumped some hatchet runner in Kiba with 45 rounds of M995 point-blank, the dude didn't even flinch, and I know for a fact that you can get killed from outside Kiba, even buckshot can occasionally pen. My point is that glass on interchange behaves completely unpredictable and broken, and until the devs give an honest answer to just what the fuck is going on, everything else is just speculation.
As someone who is getting a PC in the next few months and who will be buying Tarkov the first day he can, I truly appreciate this series. Yes, at times Karma makes mistakes and misses shots, but that happens even to the best. The thing I actually appreciate the most, is how Karma engages in fights. The disengaging, movement, flanks and finding new angles has worked even against stacked squads a few times during this series. That is the most valuable teaching I've received here, so thanks Karma! Welcome to PC gaming, bro. That's what I like about Karma's play-throughs as well. He shows you the good and bad, the high and low of Tarkov. I think that's the best way to learn. You need to see the mistakes so you can get better. Karma narrating his actions and thought process also helps you understand how the fight is going and how he's making decisions. I'm not the best player of Tarkov, but I've tried to adapt his advice to my play-style and it's helped my game and boosted my confidence. You'll get smacked to hell and back at times, but that's what makes surviving and getting out with loot so rewarding. That's one of the reasons we play Tarkov, not many other games offer this sort of experience or feeling when playing. Good luck in Tarkov when you get that PC built!
I got a SCAV just named "EHL" a while back.. i honestly dont know what kind of dictionary their random name gen uses but im sure they just add stuff to it for the lulz lol
I know I'm super late on this but just imagine any time you shoot through an object in this game, the bullet trajectory takes on a random tilt in one direction. Could be up, could be down, left, right, etc. The amount of tilt it takes on is also semi-random. The further away from your target the bullet gets that tilt, the more off-track your bullet will become, since it's got all that distance to travel on that new angle. Conversely, if your target is a very short distance behind what you're shooting through, that slight tilt almost doesn't matter since it's got such a small amount of distance left to travel, and it can only go off course by so much before it impacts the target.
ok for glass you need certain ammo types you lose velocity when ever you hit glass so if the ennemie is not close to the glass you won't hit him so you either need more powerfull bullets, or you need your enemies to stand close to the glass.
IRL, bullets will deflect to the perpendicular angle of the glass when you shoot through it. So if you're shooting at a downward angle through glass, you want to aim a bit low and if you're shooting at an upward angle through glass, you want to aim a bit high. There's also a random factor due to imperfections in the glass, so even if you're shooting perpendicular to the glass, it can deflect your shot wildly. Additionally, if the glass is not perpendicular to the ground, then the perpendicular angle to the glass may not be obvious in a high adrenalin situation. And, if the glass has a curve to it then the perpendicular angle will yaw as you sweep across the glass. Lastly, you lose a lot of velocity as the bullet passes through the glass. Self defense marksmanship will teach that you fire off enough rounds to create a hole in the glass and then shoot at the target through the hole. No clue if this is relevant to Tarkov.

Glass close to the barrel effects the bullets flight path, rotation, and velocity significantly, glass far from the barrel and close to the destination doesn’t change its flight path much at all. It makes sense you being the one that’s close to the glass are at the disadvantage, at least theoretically in real life that’s how it should work.
The glass wasn't what stopped your bullets from getting the kill. Your sight is just way too high up, so you lost your first few bullets to the floor, which gave the guy downstairs enough time to run away. You might have hit him once, when you realised your error. But he was largely safe at that point.

Worst part of this game is doing well in a raid, fully loaded up with loot and then either not being able to find an extract or getting 1 hit killed from nowhere. Frustrating but so addictive.

Glass is litteraly just random doesnt matter what ammo you use the only thing that lets ammo through glass is scavs for some reason glass doesnt matter to them

i have a hate/love relationship with the npc scavs. Like im version a ful health l4 armor with at least 60 armor point left & a l3 Sfera Helmet with 100 armor points i walk over the last hill on shoreline at customs exit & a scav spots me from 100m range & fires 3 quick shots. I see a black screen & try to get the math right in my head as i rarely run into a AK scav with better than BP. Also if i happen to load in as a scav myself its usually absolute trash except the rare M80 sniper rifle combo.

You just got shot thru the glass. You always say you hate shooting thru the glass, i think (hear my theory out) the bullet is deflecting as it penetrates the glass. When a sniper shoots thru a car window the shot isnt always a clean thru and thru. Glass has a way of deflecting the shot. Now almost every time i see you die thru glass its because your pressed up against the glass. But when you go to shoot someone your on the upper tier and they are on the lower. Your bullet has more time to deflect away from said target vs when you get shot when your close to the glass from below. Maybe try to test shots in offline mode and see if the bullets penetrate the glass and still hit your target from the 3rd floor. Just an idea. If you need clarification reply to me :) would love to hear your input on my theory

Depends on where you look. Heard plenty of times that it was used about weapons that were both smaller and larger, cause of the 9 in the start. Just like you hear 7.62 about anything from x39 to x51, to x54 rimmed.

This series really makes me wanna get the game, but all of the recent content I see about Tarkov is about the overwhelming number of cheaters ruining the game. I guess I missed the period where this game was actually good, sad day. :( I normally have no interest in competitive/PvP shooters but there is just something about this one that makes me really wanna try it, mostly do scav runs to learn the game and get somewhat decent before doing a lot of PMC raids. Seems like a risk free way to learn the maps... Like where the hell the extraction points even are. lol
Where can I watch players playing with their best kits possible or is everybody too scared to lose it or what I don’t get it. I like the concept of this game but if nobody is using the stuff out of fear I don’t quite understand that. What’s the point of even getting it?

Only reason to play woods is for quests and sniper pvp i feel. Other than that there really is no point as it has pretty much no loot.
the loot is the pmcs you kill and shurtman/guards.

u do not need to understand glass, all thicc glass fully penetrable with even pm ammo. I ts just placebo that rounds doing nothing, coz u can not see where you shoot and glass do not break.

Yeah teams will sit and wait for you to come by to find/loot the body. Even if it takes the entire raid, this game takes a lot of patience lol

Depends on where you look. Heard plenty of times that it was used about weapons that were both smaller and larger, cause of the 9 in the start. Just like you hear 7.62 about anything from x39 to x51, to x54 rimmed.

Davina Clark I think u mean when he meds up with a medkit. It is just one of the animations to the one medkit it doesn’t give you painkillers even thought you take them it just heals you

This series really makes me wanna get the game, but all of the recent content I see about Tarkov is about the overwhelming number of cheaters ruining the game. I guess I missed the period where this game was actually good, sad day. :(
I normally have no interest in competitive/PvP shooters but there is just something about this one that makes me really wanna try it, mostly do scav runs to learn the game and get somewhat decent before doing a lot of PMC raids. Seems like a risk free way to learn the maps... Like where the hell the extraction points even are. lol
Lol woods and factory are the worst...shoreline and interchange are rough as a primarily solo player... Love customs and reserve!
Where can I watch players playing with their best kits possible or is everybody too scared to lose it or what I don’t get it. I like the concept of this game but if nobody is using the stuff out of fear I don’t quite understand that. What’s the point of even getting it?
