- Welcome to another video on the channel. Join me in this vlog as I head to the historic town of Hereford for the oldest charter fair in the world. Hereford May Fair.
At 904 years old this charter fair has alot of history behind it,.held annually every may this charter fair sees machines from far and wide descend on the narrow streets of Hereford.
It was my first time visiting this historic fair last year so I had to return as I left so impressed.
The amount of machines on offer, the crowds and all kinds of showmen and gaffers make it a funfair you need to tick off your bucket list.
We had some new rides this year including Abie Morris frogs and a euroeye wheel.
Fan favourites returned again this year including Danters' waltzers, sizzler, superbowl, booster and so much more. Psycho inn returned again this year which has to be one of my favourite traveling ghost houses...a must do!
Some of the machines overlook some stunning scenery with Hereford cathedral as the backdrop. Miami trip 3 set the bar high again. One of my favourite Miami's, such a pretty machine.

Just discovered your channel. Loved watching this video! I was raised in Hereford and have very fond memories of the May Fair. I'm now in my late 40s and live in London. I think £3 a ride is reasonable. £4 is a bit steep. I didn’t like how long you got on the sizzler compared to the other rides. You only got just over a minute on the sizzler. Looks a great fair. I’d love to visit one day but it’s a long trip considering I won’t ride much. Got me thinking about Neath already. I can’t wait for that. Great vlog as always 🙂👍
Yea neath won't be long now 😂 I don't mind £3 a cycle.....£4 is steep but yea the cycle could of been longer....it's a case of send it and get more people on as quick as you can in Hereford
Twice now I’ve missed you at my local fair, Abie Morris frogs were here last year

It is an amazing fair, every now and then the ride lineup does change, few years back we had Air for couple of years

£4 each person is cheap it costs a lot to run a funfair ride got to pay for diesel pay the staff pay the cancel it seems like they make a lot of money but they don't after they pay all there bills they are just like us they have a little bit left to live on plus when they move and building up pulling down they are losing money
I completely understand pal I do. I'm in with the gaffers and Showmen so I know how much it costs to set up, pull down, wages, fuel etc. just voicing my opinion 😁😁

It's a shame mate..... personally I do it for the love of it and to capture memories. Whatever you do in life there will always be people who try and pull you down unfortunately as they don't like seeing success
