Country music is just like any other genre, the sound and style evolve over time. Some people complain that this isn't country. Yeah it doesn't sound like Johnny Cash, but take the genre of rock, can you say for example that the Foo Fighters are like Elvis Presley, no but they both fall into the rock genre, and no one complains about that. Love the new country, but also like the old.
