  • Surface Lure success for Bass this week as i decide to stop fishing and come back two hours later. It paid off as we manage some Bass from the Shore.
    Lure fishing at night can throw up some excellent catches and at the very least improve our chances.
    In this episode we discuss the Pros and cons of fishing with no light.
    We test a number of different Lures we varying luck !
    Lure fishing at night can be tricky and there is not normally a need to thrash those lures through the water. Bait fish are slower at night , sometimes barely moving and we should do the same with our Lures.

    There’s only one problem with surface lures, they’re so addictive, hate changing to anything else! Actually two problems, gulls.

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  Год назад +2

      Ha ! Yep 👍 always start with them because you can always say you have them a chance. Immature herring gulls are the problem it’s fun to just wait for the gulls to dive then fast drag . Catch no gulls but might entice a bass

    great session. done exactly the same years ago when I lived in Salcombe. used to have plenty of dead days with bait, but then go back on the evening and chuck a lure out on light tackle and pull a dozen or so in .......not every time, but evenings like the one in the video almost always produced...especially around Slapton or on the rocks around Snapes point or Splat cove......happy days.

      I’m over thinking it.
      Had a great evening 2nd Sept - caught a dozen- several over 42cm but only took one. I think I’ll just try whenever I get the time and not worry too much about, tides, tide-coefficient, moon etc.etc.
