Amazing reaction Sir Hairless. Gabriel wanted to sing another song, but the program's production team wouldn't let him. I think his potential to win was enormous, and the production cheated the artist. Even so, Gabriel gave a beautiful performance. In case of curiosity, Gabriel did not sign up for AGT, he was invited twice.
From what I understand he was actually not allowed to sing any of the songs he wanted, and Simon Cowell picked this song for him. Typically he does choose female songs. A lot of people felt that Simon Cowell wanted Putri Ariani to win and was not giving Gabriel a real chance. As a matter of fact, they gave one of his best songs to another contestant to sing. I’ve never heard this song before, so I don’t think it was very popular and I think it did hurt him in the competition. I was really really really sad when he was eliminated. SH, another Gabriel Henrique reaction so yayyyyy! 🙌🏻 This was such a big deal at the time, what second song would he do on AGT, we were all guessing some of the songs we have seen him do on YT, we were hoping for some of those and yet, out of left field, “Something Beautiful?” I immediately went ummmmm and uh oh, I somehow knew the song, not sure where I came across it, and all I could think about was the repetitive nature to the song? 🤔 I also knew immediately that the show had something to do with this, I still believe that, Simon said he loved the song (first hint) and then, at the end of the judging portion, Gabriel made a statement that basically said, if it doesn’t come from the heart it means nothing (second hint.) I think he was given this song and he made the most of it. That is just my opinion after watching 1 million of these shows over the years. I was also rather startled by the production of it all, yes this was a semifinal, but the lights and how it was done up to actually look like a final also scared me. As in they aren’t going to put him through. He was a direct competition threat to the other vocalist already in the finals, Putri Ariani, another amazing talent with an amazing story. She was Simon’s Golden Buzzer. You might want to add her to your reaction list? Anywho, at the end of the day a guy with a dog won the season and that says a whole lot? AGT has a Vegas show, the talent swaps out somehow, and ultimately, in the end, I think the exposure for Gabriel might be better than the obligation to an AGT contract that might include that Vegas show? I know I am not personally ready for Gabriel in an AGT Vegas show with some previous AGT acrobaticist (not sure that is a word) winner performing behind him. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I think Gabriel is way, way, way better than that? So did I cry when he wasn’t voted through? No. Did I cry when Freddie Mercury died? Yes and for days. So maybe it takes a lot to make me cry but all of that to say, big stage, exposure, next steps please. Unfortunately, not many people knew this song. It is not a popular song and what's interesting about the choice was that Gabriel was given it to sing and all efforts to sing anything else (like Stand Up) met with a strong NO. So Gabriel with the help of his father, created this wonderful respectful version. Most of the comments were about song choice and how he should have chosen something better known! He was criticized for something he had no control over and it cost him the competition. BUT...he's better off without AGT and his newest version with a choir, blew up RUclips! Even more stunning! AGT made bad decisions for all solo singers. Promoted one at the expense of the others and lost respect for the show, in the long run. Gabriel got the recognition he needed and is doing fine! I really love your reactions. Gabriel usually sings R&B soul music (which I think you don’t prefer). He chooses powerful singers like Mariah, Whitney, Celine Patti Labelle, Beyonce etc. My favorites are My All, Never Enough, Stand Up, A Thousand Years and he really hits High Notes with Emotion. He also does a live performance of When I Was Your Man. Oh and he sometimes sings in his car because he is often accused of using auto tune.

This wasn't his choice. Simon wanted him to do. Was planning on doing Stand Up. Which he does unbelievable job on, of course. Sad. AGT is just a circus. He'll do just fine. Same thing happened to Dimash when did World's Best. He would have won, but dropped out because he had to compete with 2 children. He thought wasn't fair. And they were mean to him. Travesty. His voice is so pure it's angelic, it gets me every time! His whistle tones are just otherworldly. But speaking of unique arrangements of covers in AGT contestants, you should check out Angelina Jordan's cover of Boeheim Rapsody, I think you'd dig it. She has a very unique voice coupled with a very artistic and mature musicality. She has a style that's all her own. Sorta like Gabriel. 🙂
Gabriel has a fabulous voice. In my humble opinion, he doesn't need the whistle notes to be impressive. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston wore me out with whistle notes, and I've not been a big fan of that style. However, Gabriel does sing them with such lovely precision! Another fab reaction. Thanks!

I enjoy watching your reactions. I am a singer and I appreciate when others who sing, comment, because I vicariously enjoy their praise of this magnificent artist. As many have already told you, AGT was very manipulative and underhanded in the way they dealt with Gabriel. They refused to let him sing what he wanted and demanded he sing this song. I will never watch that farce of a show again. But being on the show has helped to extend his reach. He recently performed in Romania for a Christian Christmas concert - you can find that on RUclips - and he got a chance to upgrade “Something Beautiful” complete with gospel choir, in an exceptional video, also on RUclips. He has so many gorgeous covers, including the songs he wanted to sing, “Stand Up”, and “And I’m telling You I’m not Going”. I also recommend “Oh Holy Night”, “I want to Know what Love is”, “Feelin’ Good”, “Oh Happy Day” (when in Romania), “Set Fire To the Rain” among so many others. He also sings in his native tongue, Portuguese, and these beautiful songs are Gospel songs, which is Gabriel’s favorite genre to sing in. I really love your reactions. Gabriel usually sings R&B soul music (which I think you don’t prefer). He chooses powerful singers like Mariah, Whitney, Celine Patti Labelle, Beyonce etc. My favorites are My All, Never Enough, Stand Up, A Thousand Years and he really hits High Notes with Emotion. He also does a live performance of When I Was Your Man. Oh and he sometimes sings in his car because he is often accused of using auto tune.

Valeu por sua reação. Apesar da clara tentativa de prejudicar o Gabriel, ele se saiu muito bem com essa música imposta para ele cantar, já que ele não pode escolher. Quanto se o Gabriel tivesse cantado outra música se ele ganharia o AGT é difícil dizer, já que quem ganhou foi um cachorro (animal adorável, é claro!). His voice is so pure it's angelic, it gets me every time! His whistle tones are just otherworldly. But speaking of unique arrangements of covers in AGT contestants, you should check out Angelina Jordan's cover of Boeheim Rapsody, I think you'd dig it. She has a very unique voice coupled with a very artistic and mature musicality. She has a style that's all her own. Sorta like Gabriel. 🙂
Gabriel has a fabulous voice. In my humble opinion, he doesn't need the whistle notes to be impressive. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston wore me out with whistle notes, and I've not been a big fan of that style. However, Gabriel does sing them with such lovely precision! Another fab reaction. Thanks!

I enjoy watching your reactions. I am a singer and I appreciate when others who sing, comment, because I vicariously enjoy their praise of this magnificent artist. As many have already told you, AGT was very manipulative and underhanded in the way they dealt with Gabriel. They refused to let him sing what he wanted and demanded he sing this song. I will never watch that farce of a show again. But being on the show has helped to extend his reach. He recently performed in Romania for a Christian Christmas concert - you can find that on RUclips - and he got a chance to upgrade “Something Beautiful” complete with gospel choir, in an exceptional video, also on RUclips. He has so many gorgeous covers, including the songs he wanted to sing, “Stand Up”, and “And I’m telling You I’m not Going”. I also recommend “Oh Holy Night”, “I want to Know what Love is”, “Feelin’ Good”, “Oh Happy Day” (when in Romania), “Set Fire To the Rain” among so many others. He also sings in his native tongue, Portuguese, and these beautiful songs are Gospel songs, which is Gabriel’s favorite genre to sing in. Listen to “Fim Di Tarde”, which is a great R & B song in Portuguese. I trust you will continue to react to Gabriel. I’m subscribing to your channel in the hopes that you do. Don’t disappoint me!😊
