    I did not really know what to call this video as its essentially a mashup of valenwood government and biographies of the influencial figures. I am sorry if it brought confusion
    Btw mr. Flames of Chaos, this counts as a non fourth era subject as I did not even mention said era ;)

      it seems to me to just be a feudal system where the king is the highest authority but( like any ruler) must appease those who keep him in power I have no doubt that the living gods have had quite a bit of influence in who ascends to the throne and who doesn't I wonder if some of them could possibly even be subordinate to the thalmor?

    Is it just me, or does Valenwood have the most complicated society or social structure? Tho I approve over their structure more than others, so I would say theirs is the most desirable of other civilizations of Tamriel

    It seems the wilderking always has to be an altmer for some reason. Probably the deep connection to magic, being closer to the original Aldmer.

    • @ImperialKnowledge
      @ImperialKnowledge  6 лет назад +1

      Well we dont really know, just because a couple of them have been altmer does not mean they all were/are. There have been quite a few

    • @Auriel_Direnni
      @Auriel_Direnni 6 лет назад +3

      It is very suspect both of them were Altmer, all of the ones we know, when Altmer are very hard to find deep in Valenwood, where non-bosmer aren't very welcome, they're VERY conspicuous . In fact the woman in question seems to have been lured there to become Wilderqueen. This alligns with Mankar Camoran being a high elf, when we know the children of the Camoran king were wood elves because his wife was, the theory is Mankar used Meruhnes' Razor to revert himself to Aldmer, rather than Altmer. It would make sense if the Wilderking preceedes the Aldmer of Valenwood becoming Bosmer.

      Presumably they didn't particularly mind, there was historical precedent and it had worked pretty well the two previous times. I imagine the Bosmer see these periods of Aldmeri Dominion control over Valenwood as a seasonal thing, like... winter, and they don't particularly oppose it. They couldn't know these Thalmor were not as nice as the previous iterations, it's probably only dawned on them over time, they wouldn't have been able to tell originally. Also there may be a significant number of bosmer who agree with the general idea behind the dominion, since the Empire has historically always been considerably more intrusive in Bosmeri life than the high elves are, building military forts, roads, collecting taxes and trying to make a profit. Sure, they're fiercely independent and the high elves are still invaders, but at least they're kin, and they frankly need their help if they want to expel invaders since the Bosmer have never won a war on their own. The reasons the Bosmer have to rebel are the same the Altmer themselves do, since the Thalmor's first victims were the Altmer themselves.

    How do these rulers interact with the rulers of the Aldmeri Dominion and the Thalmor?

      Bosmer are cool, though as someone says in Oblivion "the females are less obnoxious than the males". If you're going to play a stealth archer build might as well go all the way and play the OG.

      @@flamesofchaos13 When their empire came crashing down, the Ayleids escaped the wrath of the Alessian order by fleeing to Valenwood and, importantly, to High Rock, where they mixed with the elves of the Direnni Hegemony. Many Direnni elves, and many Bretons too as a result, have Ayleid ancestry.
