@rovelynabarico1042 I had a winter coat when I was traveling Honshu but shipped it home when I got south to Kagoshima! It was very warm for me being Canadian.
Going back to Japan for our 19th visit in June. Never made it Kyushu before which is kind of embarrassing but really considering doing Kagoshima this time. So it was fun watching your video.
Do you think if i lived there as a foreigner that taught English, I would get bored or find it a boring city. I don't plan on renting a car. How's the public transportation ? Thanks !
Kagoshima is a pretty cool city, but it is a bit far from the rest of Kyushu. If you like nature and hiking there's lots to see. I wasn't there long enough to explore too much unfortunately. I only took the tram from the train station to the hostel so I didn't get to use the public transit too much. From my experience in Japan, the public transit is pretty good everywhere (at least compared to Canada!)
@bridgetttraylor3061 I did! Fukuoka was a lot of fun. There was definitely more to do as it's a bigger city. It's easier to take the train over to Honshu from there and you can even take the ferry over to Busan!
Have you ever been to Kagoshima? ⛰🌸
@@rovelynabarico1042 oh amazing! It wasn't cold when I was there in April. I just had a sweater and I was fine!

Hi, when did you go and how long did it take to hike up the shiroyama observation deck?
I was there March of last year! I believe it was 30 mins or so from our guesthouse near the water.

19 visits! That's amazing! I'm hoping to go back next year, there's a lot to see and do.

@@LivyTravels Did you go Fukuoka ? If so, how you would compare the two. I was thinking of teaching in either Fukuoka or Kagoshima. Thank you !
