If you like the turning of Independents, but want something that hold up to grinds. I've found switching to Ace AF1 trucks feels similar to Indy, but gives me a bit more carve and pop. They sit a little taller and that could take adjusting to, but it was worth it for me. I ride 8.5 on Ace 55. For an 8.25 I'd recommend the 44s.

The trucks you have are the new Indy mids. They are a shorter version of the regular independent and they have an inverted kingpin. If you don't like those you should try the 5.6 venture hollow highs next time.
@@Meardd I haven't tried the mids yet but I would imagine they'd be similar in feel to the forged hollows. I know Andrew Reynolds and Tiago Lemos skates them so they must be good lol.
Mids whatever that means lol probably should pay more attention to your trucks bro it’s 50% of your bored and if independent keeps breaking on you maybe try Thunder and Thunder has low trucks which will make it more snappy
You must’ve had an unlucky faulty pair of independents, or the board was out in the rain for 2 years rusting away.. lol Nobody is gonna boycott independents out of all truck companies lol
