I work with animals a lot and I can't tell you how many times I've been bit by dogs. I've never been bit on the face or the neck though. Hugs are uncomfortable for dogs, especially if they don't know you and you're literally offering two of your most vulnerable spots to the dog's most deadly weapon when you hug them.

My dog bit my arm so hard that I still have scars from it. She still bites me a lot (so much that my arms are COVERED in bruises), but it’s not breaking the skin so my parent’s don’t care. One time I was in the living room by myself with hemi so I was just petting him. I got close to his face and he kinda licked me. For some reason I have a feeling to touch where we licked me and sure enough I was bleeding. I calmly walked to the kitchen to grab a paper towel and that’s when my friends mom saw me bleeding and I told her what happened. Nothing ever hurt and I had to go to the ER. I remember my friends mom crying asking us not to report her dog and put him down but my family was never going to do that and we just said it was a stray dog. They were going to give me stitches, but bc of all the bacteria they couldn’t. I still have a small scar today that’s close to the corner of my mouth. But that whole experience never shook my love for dogs. Even now I was an American bulldog that looks exactly like hemi! Anyways that my story lol
Yeah, it's pretty sad that dogs get put down in general tbh
It’s so weird hearing a guy that works in the medical field speak so blunt like this🤣

I work with animals a lot and I can't tell you how many times I've been bit by dogs. I've never been bit on the face or the neck though. This is because I don't hug dogs I don't know or at all in general, which honestly a lot of people do. Hugs are uncomfortable for dogs, especially if they don't know you and you're literally offering two of your most vulnerable spots to the dog's most deadly weapon when you hug them.
YES EXACTLY. It makes me so sad that some dogs actually get put down because of the stupidity of humans.
@@slowpokezz4059 Yeah, punish the people not the dog.
LITERALLY. I always tell my family or friends not to hug my dog because I learned that dogs don't like it. I always notice she looks uncomfortable whenever someone hugs her. They still do it anyway but I try to tell them off whenever they do.
Comedy and knowledge, I love it!!!
Potterheads: "I bet u feel the venom coursing through ur veins"
I used to go in morning runs on my street. My neighbors had a german shepherd that was always loose because they thought it wouldn't "hurt" anyone. We knew that the dog barked at us but never actually bit us any time. One day however I was coming back from my run and the dig started chasing me and barking. I was tired and so scared since the dog was so big. I continued jogging at my pace since that I'd what I usually do and he usually goes away. But for some reason he didnt go away and bit me in the glutes and it hurt. When I entered my house my mom didnt believe I got bit even tho I was crying and screaming until i showed her that I was bleeding from my glutes lmao. The scariest part is that i started screaming when it bit me and for some reason my family who was inside our house like right next to where the dog bit me couldn't hear me scream or might have not even cared tbh.
😳😱

My dog bit my arm so hard that I still have scars from it. She still bites me a lot (so much that my arms are COVERED in bruises), but it’s not breaking the skin so my parent’s don’t care. They blamed me for getting bitten the time it did break skin. It still hurts to touch the area, even though it was over half a year ago. It did not get infected, but I was definitely not allowed to go to the doctor because my little sister loves the dog and she’s 100% going to be reported again sometime by someone else.
Give that dog a real good whoopin next time and itll never do it again. U gotta show it whos boss, its basic nature
@@dgafbrapman688 that would make the dog bite more. Dogs either bite because they are scared, protecting something, or it’s a learned behavior. Hitting the dog will make it think it needs to protect itself
@@kurasakage7736 thats incorrect. Dogs learn from pavlovian conditioning, its the base technique used to train them. U have to make it so the dog associates aggression with getting a whoopin. Ive had nothing but what people conaider the "scary" dogs, pit bulls, rotweilers etc. One or two good smacks and they were never aggressive. Always say you got bit by a rando doggo while walking down the street.
Don't snitch on a dog if it's your fault you're bit
Till it’s a fatal bite for you. Plus if your dog/ dogs get loose and bite someone else they can put two and two together. Also since you were bit- maybe more than once even - that is recorded - and they will be looking for dogs in your area more often.
Just walking down a street?!!!
