Thanks you for watching my video, I hope it inspired to look at thrift store finds in a new way. All the paint, products and home decor can be purchased on my website www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/
I love the cloche, the binocular case, and the lamp -- love, love, love the cool bulb you added! I don't get to go thrifting much anymore, but when I do I'll be looking at pieces from an entirely new perspective. 🦋
The cloche came out beautifully. The glass is a “ rose bowl”. It was used to hold a single large rose blossom like a cabbage rose with a small amount of water enough for the blossom to drink up.
My husband found a Goidwill bins store for me while in Texas. I found such good things but was SHOCKED at the people waiting for new bins to come out and when they did you best get out of the way! Lol. Oh my gosh! Someone said they are looking for things to resale. Glad we went though! 😊
Love the binocular case! I always love watching you marry items together. I hope you do more drop cloth projects this fall and winter. Thank you Julie.
Loving what you did with the old leather binocular case!! I even like it freestanding with the florals. You are so creative and see things I would overlook!❤ Omigosh! I had to edit because that rose bowl glass vase made into a cloche!! WOW! I want to have one! Just gorgeous.
I actually love the lamp without the shade. Before you mentioned getting one, I thought that was it. It’s tall and sleek and different and can get away with no shade in my opinion.
For the very first time on your channel, I wasn’t a fan of the the pears. The candle holder things you made I to a cloche my grandma always called rose bowls. They are beautiful with a little bit of water in them and one rose head or my favorite a peony head. It will fill your home with its amazing scent. The cloche looked great. I too love the scalloped edges on those rose bowls. Not all of them have the scalloped edges. I see them occasionally in thrift stores but the scalloped edges are usually chipped or broken and still priced super high.
Oooooo...I just found the same kind of leather binocular case! I couldnt pass up that yummy color of old gold leather. Mine doesn't have a strap either, did you use rope?! Beautiful with flowers, but mine has the lid & looks fabulous with my fall decor!
That leather binoculars case!! Love that hanging from your hooks! The table cloth also❤❤ love!! The pears look awesome, loving the gold. The lamp is amazing where it is placed. Weirdly, I love it without the shade! 😊 The cloche❤ simply gorgeous
I love the cloche! Too late in the day now, but I’m itching to run out to the thrift store and look for materials to make one. Thanks for the inspiration.
I have those pears. They came from Target Christmas items. I left mine gold and put them in a fostoria glass bowl. I have a huge gold framed mirror in my dining room with 8 inch frame. They match the frame and the chandelier. Very nice. Ceramic.
Loved this video! You never disappoint Julie! I have been sending your diy videos to my friends with booths and they LOVE your diy thrift flips! Always learning new things with your videos! I do have a question...do you only do your mystery boxes on what not? Would love to buy one from your website. Have a blessed weekend ❤
Yeah I too like the pairs, but I really liked the binocular case because it was such an unusual find. It turned out very cute. I'm also going to try to do Squarespace one of these days
The dollar store used to carry the glass bowl you used for the cloche. It was my favorite. Not a fan of the pears but you love it so that’s what matters
🎉We still have Salvation Army stores, St. Vincent DePaul stores, local and humane shelter thrift stores. I swore off Goodwill years ago. I think the money i spend at these other locations benefit so much more than a fat cat CEO, especially since the goods are donated.
While it's great that you frequent thrift stores, I have been off Goodwill since I learned the CEO makes $179,000 per year and is worth $10,000,000. Employees with disabilities are often paid less than minimum wage (sometimes as little as 22 cents per hour; and these low wages change based on biannual speed tests, which literally measure how many items of clothing an employee can hang in a minute), whistleblowers have been fired, and safety issues have led to tragedy. I prefer to shop at my local Humane Society Thrift Store, the Hospice Thrift Store, and many others that support local charities.
In 2020 ceo goodwill made 1.8 million that’s insane and they raise their prices for people to give them stuff for free what a racket..I remember the good ole days still have stuff from the goodwill when it was cheap
@@Freddybender123 Yes, the prices at our local Goodwill have gone up outrageously. I remember seeing something that had the original price tag on it and it was priced by GW at MORE than the original price.
Right On! Plus…..there good stuff now never makes it to the shelves because they place it on their e-commerce store therefore the store now has left over junk.
Hey Julie,It's Laura here under my hubbys account somehow got outta ours,I been down for the count for a bit now and I gotta say,the ONLY GOOD thing about being super sick or weak and in full rest mode....Well your videos of course I got way behind on watching them when life was life-ing away 😂😂😂 BUTTTTT right now I get to catch up,LOVE YOUR CONTENT THANK YOUUUUUU from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work you do on these videos, your content is awesome LOVE everything you create, you got the same styles I love...Homey and upcycled and best of all thrifted at bins or thrift stores, estate sales or yardsales LOVEEE IT all I been watching you for years,I do not always comment but I wanted you to know I love it all!!!
I could keep going and going and going watching your videos.... they're never long enough but hey, I know you have a family and also need to sleep...lol
Thanks you for watching my video, I hope it inspired to look at thrift store finds in a new way. All the paint, products and home decor can be purchased on my website www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/
You should come down to Oxford for some estate sales. There will be one here September 27th- 29th. Only about an hour from you. 😊
@gailbrown8710 I check there too but haven't noticed any good ones
My favourite is the leather binocular case.
That cloche was so good!!! Never throw away all the random pieces🤣🩷

I like when you show something you find thrifting and show how you up cycle directly after showing it. You're so creative!
That leather binocular case would look awesome with feathers 🪶 mixed in the florals.
The cloche and the binocular case were my favorites. But everything you choose always turns out so pretty!
The cloche out of a candle or lampshade. Awesome.
My husband found a Goidwill bins store for me while in Texas. I found such good things but was SHOCKED at the people waiting for new bins to come out and when they did you best get out of the way! Lol. Oh my gosh! Someone said they are looking for things to resale. Glad we went though! 😊

So true about not throwing anything away!
I really like the lamp without a shade.
It brings out a brightness in that area that a lamp shade might make to dark.
Toujours de belles et bonnes réalisations bravo😊
I think the lamps really pretty without the shade. It goes very well there all of it matches beautifully.
Love the binocular case!!!
I am in love with that cloche!
Loved the pears! Beautiful
Thank you! 😊

Pears
Loved them all, but the cloche was my fav. What a great makeover ❤️
Mine, too❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
For the binocular case - those piano player rolls (if you have any left) and winter picks w berries!!❤
Polish pottery next to those pears?
I collect pears, so those were easily my favorite! Your redo with milk paint is just my style! Beautiful.. thanks for another great video Julie!
The cloche is great. How did you read to your kids with out lamps? How did they read or do homework?
All idea were great! I loved the stunning cloche the best.😊
Did I see this before?
The dollar store used to carry the glass bowl you used for the cloche. It was my favorite. Not a fan of the pears but you love it so that’s what matters
Binocular case!
Literally was just given that same binocular case (WITH the binoculars though and complete) by our neighbor. It's really gorgeous leather!
My favorite thing is actually that white floral wreath behind you, do you sell those white sprigs?
no but you can get it on Amazon - amzn.to/3MQSTb0
Why would you make pears white? 🤷🏼♀
Why not chippy white paint is the best ❤
Because they look beautiful.
Why were they 3 different colors 🤷♀️ why they have a gold metal leaf 🤷♀️because they are for decor, not eating 😂
@@JuliesDesignsandSigns 😅
@@JuliesDesignsandSigns lol. 😂 I guess
❤
I love the little cloche you made. Perfect.
Clever cloche idea!
That cloche, is actually a rose bowl. You pick a rose and put it in there!

@@Gothlite-i1l yep same here it was from the dollar tree 1.25 goodwill wanted 4.00
I used to donate to goodwill because it's the closest donation center to my house. Now I just use the stuff until it's trash and then throw it away.
Right On! Plus…..there good stuff now never makes it to the shelves because they place it on their e-commerce store therefore the store now has left over junk.
Great projects❤
I have that same vase hopefully I could make something like that
yes, go for it
Edison bulbs would look great in the lamp.
The pears are perfect xx
thank you 😊
Great cloche!
Oh sure, I just donated two of those vases recently! Dang! Now I’ll have to go back and try to find one! Cute ideas, Julie.

Binocular idea - add a leather belt strap. Great ideas as always!
I did think about it but I didn't have a belt skinny enough
