    안녕하세요! I'm a U.S. Army officer stationed in Korea right now, and it's one of my life goals to see North Koreans freed. I am learning as much about the culture and history as I can, so I can help our leaders make better decisions regarding North Korea. I've been watching your videos, and they're an invaluable source of knowledge and perspective! Keep it up, one day all Koreans will be free.

      Good luck.

    • @lex1945
      @lex1945 4 года назад +31

      I also hope, one day, all Koreans will be free, but the biggest problem is China. They could easily turn their back on DPRK, but on the other hand, they don't want American influence in their back yard. If Korea would be reunited, China would have the US next to their border, and i highly doubt they would ever want this. Same happened with the EU expansion into former eastern European states.Russia immediately reacted by taking Crimea, (because of their navy base there) and gave support to the rebels in Eastern Ukraine. This all about geo-politics.Not about people. Sad but true.

    • @PsychoSpartan7
      @PsychoSpartan7 4 года назад +22

      @@lex1945 both you and the other comment are absolutely correct. I can't do much at this moment but there's special career paths in the Army that focus on geo-politics and diplomacy within a region. In this case, East Asia. That's what I'm aiming for. Then at least I can give good advice to leaders as an expert in this area. That is probably the best that's possible to do within the military. The best solution requires a truly good leader as commander-in-chief who cares about these issues. That's much harder to find.

      @@3ndl3ssch0as6 I've already identified myself as a military officer, so I won't speak either way about my current commander-in-chief. I can say though, in general, that it's never a good idea to be friendly with dictators, including Kim Jong Un.

    About 10 years ago we went on an adventure from Harbin China to the east. We were able to go through a couple of the abandoned factory camps that had been staffed with North Korean workers. When we found one that was in operation it looked like an active prison camp. We came upon a logging team where we found 2 North Korean workers sitting on a log smoking. I said Hello in Korean, they perked up and said hello back. Before any other words could be said, Korean looking soldiers with no uniform markings came up to us with guns at the ready. We waved at them and left.

You are to confess any knowledge of subversion or escape planning. Who, what, when, where, why MUST be disclosed. Even if N Korea could open up, it would not be likely to gain dominance like China, simply because of its comparatively small population. Also unlikely to be much of a trading partner as long as it retains its nuclear weapons. At best, it could become like Vietnam - if it got rid of its nuclear program.

    8.50 ....There are tons of North Korean ppl in there areas. That cannot be!! He treats human beings in the most horrific and soul destroying ways. Seeing our fellow brothers and sisters in these living conditions is just heartbreaking. I am so GLAD for your channel. Or I don't think I would know nearly as much as what you report to us. I will be praying for our fellow human beings. 🙏💕💕
