Yeah Brushy has some technical single track. I like to stick to the green and blue trails which are challenging enough. I can get through the black sections but it’s just too much work especially in the summer
If you dump it or for any reason have a hard time starting it, turn it all the way off, wait 5 seconds, turn on, then push the go button. You may already know that, but I had issues until I figured it out.
i love bushwacking on my 351! Gotta get rid of the clutch switch so you can start it in gear, saved me when crossing a beaver dam not having to find neutral
Man, that's the one thing about our bikes, HEAVY !!! lol. Anyway, I got my DynoJet in the mail finally, just waiting on the T-6 pipe now, then I'm gonna put both on and see how it goes..
I know exactly how you feel I just went out to Carolina adventure other day and it was a challenge. My buddy with his scrambler xp 1000 didn’t have many problems though lol
I can’t imagine how Carolina adventure most be right now... that place is always muddy even when it doesn’t rain lol but mud makes everything a little more “fun” hahaha. Thanks for the comment!
I’m not certain what tire you’re running but I would recommend a Michelin StarCross 5 medium or a Shinko 525. It would make a world of difference. Also run a 10w fork oil instead of the factory 5w. It will stiff up the front suspension on the real rocky stuff. You go up steep rocky stuff and the forks compress but that take weight off the rear tire and it starts spinning and you lose momentum. 10W oil would stiffen up the front to help that.
Sweet video man! I ride an area similar to this except about 9 times more challenging and rough lol & Huge hillclimbs in WV. Area is called 5 points. I live 2 minutes from it. Where 5 counties meet. “5 points” Its nuts, but Its fun! What camera setup do you use? Thinking of getting into recording our rides.
Thank you! I just watched a couple videos of 5 Points and it looks fun. My friends and I would like to do a trip to WV this year. We have heard that y’all have good singletrack. I use a GoPro Hero 10 and a chin mount. Thanks for the comment.
Hell yeah dude. I’ll look into that go pro. Let me know if you plan it out and wanna meet up to ride. I have a group of guys we ride with, we can show yall around. Sounds like a good time. Summer time is best, its gets greasy when it rains!
Do you feel like the bike reached its limit to where an enduro bike would of been a better option? I just bought this bike and I’m new to the sport but have a hard time seeing a difference between the two other then riders walking a 2 stroke up a rock garden lol
It’s not the bike it’s the rider. I’m sure that if you give a KLX 300r to Billy Bolt he would be able to do some incredible stuff on it. Yes, an enduro bike might make it easier, specially considering the fact that the newer 2 strokes weight 60lbs+ less than the KLX lol
And in my opinion you have to be a top class rider to reach the limit of a bike. I don’t think I would be able to ride a ttr125 to its full potential 😂
Hey! I got a polisport light. If you search this in Amazon you should be able to find it “POLISPORT MMX HEADLIGHT 35 WATT GREEN UNIVERSAL”. And the installation was pretty easy the only problem is that it doesn’t bring the wires to connected it.
The Marco Polo we have a 40 acre track of woods that I want to cut a small course through. It would be sort of like the slow tight stuff you are in. I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to install a fan, so this is pretty encouraging.
@@themarcopolo. in stuff like that, run it waaaay down, like 4-5psi on the rear and about 6-8 on the front. The tires will form to the wet roots and terrain much better. Now, by the look of that trail it may not have done a damn thing lol but I’d bet it would really help. Nice riding
@@themarcopolo. hey that’s what it’s all about. I remember when someone told me to drop the psi, I couldn’t believe the difference, not sure how I rode with 12psi lol. Play with it and you’ll find what works for you. Good luck and keep up the good videos
Thats a great trail, muddy are not, its a great trail for trainning, go as fast as you can. Its a good starter trail before hitting the enduro trail. Gets your pumping good.
Always keep at least one foot on the pegs when climbing. 👍🏻

Great video. Love seeing our KLX300R in action
Thanks David!
You two got balls man. It rains every damn day anymore. Glad you two did good, definitely a wet ride
Hahaha thanks!

That place is definitely a workout, one of the best I've been to in NC. Those climbs are pretty big camera does no justice.
Definitely. The camera doesn’t do justice :/ have you ever been to brown mountain? They have really good trails there too.
Do they have any tamer courses? Riding my dual sport on a small trip in a few weeks, and will be passing here.
2 strokes ✌🏼🇺🇸
Glad to see you’re trying to build some strength
😂

Man I'm at the 6min mark, you're handling this trail like a champ !!!
7:35 !!! woah.. lol.
Yeap, we should put them on a diet lol. Awesome, I’m sure you’re gonna feel a reallyyy big difference with those upgrades
@@TopshelfJunior thanks a lot for the comments and for the support! I appreciate it!

Are you using any kind of cooling fan or does it stay pretty cool on slower technical stuff like this?
Hey Tom, nope I’m not using any cooling fan, and I have never had any issues with her overheating or anything like that.
The Marco Polo we have a 40 acre track of woods that I want to cut a small course through. It would be sort of like the slow tight stuff you are in. I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to install a fan, so this is pretty encouraging.
What tire pressure you running there?
Back when I had the Kawi I would usually run between 10-12psi. But I’m not sure

You'll get better you need more momentum .keep feet on the pegs..
Exhausting when u have to pick that bike up over and over and over my only gripe about that bike is the weight
Stock tires?
Yes sir, I probably had 30 hours on them, so I had 0 traction lol especially on these conditions
I know its easy to say. But the more you keep your feet on the pegs. The better you will do
You’re right. I’ve gotten better at that
This is painful to watch!
My XR250 is ashamed to have seen this. It had to leave the room!
Sorry 😣
@@themarcopolo. no apologies. I'm just being sarcastic!
@@JP-ec9rl I was being sarcastic too lol
Too dang muddy for that type of trail. For me anyway.. I prefer to ride my bike not push it haha
like
Put your foot on the peg and stand on it .
Come to Central Idaho and we will take you on a trail that takes 8 hours go less than 15 miles.
I wish I could, but it’s kinda far lol. Hopefully I can go one day!
Yo meet me at brushy tomorrow???
Anyone want to ride at Brushy mountain with me tomorrow??
