Carnival Horizon | Bonaire | 2nd Time

Bonaire is known for it’s scuba diving, with probably the clearest water in the Caribbean
It also has ponds of pink water, below is the reason for the pink water
In these ponds we see the unique pink color which is caused by a microorganism called halophilic bacteria, which flourish in high salinity brine and in reality are not bacteria at all but a single cell life-form. The cell membranes contain carotenoid pigments which give the crystallizers the pink-red color.

@@chelseaharris3081 yes , it was a tour of the north & south ends of the island, it wasn’t a carnival sponsored tour, when you get off the ship , just off to the left as you walk out of the port , you will see a row of canopy’s with folks offering different excursions, I hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise, thanks for watching 👍🏿
