Wow this video has blown my mind, I am 85kg dry and was looking at stepping down from my 110ltr GONG Flint, to the SKY 95ltr as I am worried about light wind days on the 8m. Would really like to go to the 85ltr but not sure if it was going to be to difficult. Then you come along at 93Kg and nail it on what 65ltr!!! what would you recommend, do you think worst case scenario slogging back on 85ltr. New Subscriber to your channel
Hi Dan Depends how light and you want to go. For me 10mph is lightest I go in on the Sky Style 85L 5.5 unit & aero free 1000 foil. At 85 kg you could easily go for the 75L as your only board or if you want super easy to stand on in less than 10mph go for the 85 😀
Nice review , so tempted with one of these sky styles. I think the skywing was a great board and fanatic have really been ahead of the game with there foil boards.
Yeah I was unsure about the amount of rocker when it arrived but on 1st session in flat water & light wind I went from sunk past waist to foiling in 4 pumps. In the vid I included heading off beach through the breaking waves & you can see how the nose stays up and goes over the wave/chop where a flat board would of ploughed through the water and i probably would of fell off when the bigger wave hit 😀
Hey mate what is the weight of the board? I do a bit of jumping and find the weight makes a big difference once you are completely out of the water and it's all hanging off your ankles, Cheers
If you are 70kg the 65L will be great as a 1 board for all conditions or just as your light wind board if you go smaller in future. I use 85L when it’s light wind or patchy under 12 knts. Soon as constant over 12 knts I’m on 65 and I’m 92kg dry 😀
For anyone thinking there’s a crack in the rail I can ensure you it’s just a bit of sand. Video on Instagram showing there’s no crack 😉 instagram.com/reel/CicsosxIiKt/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
So, i got the 4’7” 55L and sad to say is a disappointing 10.2 pounds! For a $2k plus board 2023 “team edition” this is unacceptable, i paid 1,800 for a custom DW board 100L and it’s 7 pounds, construction is solid on the sky it feels well balance when in foil but to heavy to expensive.
My 65L 4’9 is 4.6kg or 10.12 pounds. Feels great on the water and in jumps and not a mark on it. Yes you can have lighter but not as strong especially in production boards. Some friends who have the Armstrong boards ding and crack them every time they fall on them
@@pastyadventures One of my buddies bought the inflatable Fanatic, and its deck was delaminating. Three of my friends own Fanatic boards with no issues.
Is it possible to ride Armstrong foil setups with the Fanatic Sky Style 4.9? Is the track positioning compatible with Armstrong geometry? Thanks

Could you tell us the weight of the board without the straps. Thank you
How is it vs the 2022 sky wing?
I am almost certain you wanted to say "shot with gopro and flymount" :) Nice board.
Thanks didn’t spot that 🤦♂️
It seems so low volume, I am 70kg and looking at a 85l or 95 l board, 25-30 sessions in :) windy NL

Already has a crack in it top left rail. quality not so good.
You mean the bit of sand near nose ?
Quality is top notch don’t be worried much stronger than a lot of boards
