    Would love an analysis on Chelsea and how they could line up with both Mudryk and Félix signed. Maybe Havertz on the right, overlapped by James as shown in one of the pictures? Félix the false 9 and Mudryk the runner on the left?
    Also, Havertz and Félix have shown fantastic understanding and interplay in the 60 minutes they've played so far. Hopefully that will continue.

    The problem with Simeone is his inability to trust individuals to solve the problem and his obsession with control. When Suarez went there it was much better on the offensive end because they finally had intelligence on that front but as soon as he showed signs of falling off, Diego reset the settings back to default until he needed maybe a goal to comeback or win the game. It has been similar to Felix which has led to frustrations on his end especially this season. He is a great talent though who has shown that when you release the chains, he can excel. We'all have to wait and see what Potter has in mind.
    How 'bout a video on Eden Hazard? I think a situation like his would be a great way to show that there's not only one factor that causes a major talent like him to be considered not good enough anymore.

    you concluded in this video, that this move would only make sense if Chelsea sign wingers that will compliment Felix. runners in behind. and as of today, Chelsea have completed the transfers of Mudryk & Madueke. along with Sterling and Nkunku next season, i think those 4 signings fit the profile (ability to run in behind and interplay) to create a high ceiling attack.
    i will be looking forward to how Graham Potter gets:
    - Nkunku
    - Felix
    - Havertz
    - Sterling
    - Mudryk
    - Madueke
    playing together exactly. no distinct goal scoring #9 so i think the goals will be spread out as was the case for Potter’s Brighton. somewhat similar to Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep’s City 2 seasons ago (Gundogan and De Bruyne were top goal scorers for Pep in his last 2 PL winning seasons).
    in terms of full backs overlapping and underlapping to create more runners in behind, and thus more options, obviously Cucurella and more notably Reece James have the ability to provide this. But I also think Ian Maatsen may become a favourite of Potter as a option, especially in games against weaker opposition.
    - Ian Maatsen has had 3 great loan seasons at Charlton, Coventry and Burnley respectively. getting progressively better with each loan. with his small, compact, agile, athletic build combined with his attacking style of play, a LB of his profile will be very useful to Potter.
    the profiles Chelsea are buying since the 4/5 technical directors the owners have brought in, have taken charge of transfers (this january) seem to be very, very precise. each transfer thus far have been players of a certain physical and technical standard and all have been young. it seems Chelsea are building a squad of profiles which work together, will grow together and will have tactical and philosophical unity eventually.

    I want him back at Chelsea. He's perfect to compete with Nkunku and also as a nominal left winger. He's a creative monster. He played in the worst Chelsea team in the history of the Premier League. In a structure like the one Maresca is going about with clearly defined patterns of play,I think he'll fare much better.

    • @MylesB93-
      @MylesB93- 3 месяца назад

      Nkunku should not be playing LW, unless we sign another left back whose good going forward. And if he does play out there, where does that leave Neto (assuming Palmer starts RW which I don't like either). Not a fan of the Felix signing at all - obviously as a Chelsea fan I hope it works out but just can't see where he fits in. Would rather we use the Gallagher money to strengthen elsewhere.

      @@MylesB93- I think OP meant Félix will provide competition for Nkunku AND for the LW spot, not that him and Nkunku would compete for LW.
      As for how you might set up with him, I could see you play with Nkunku up top, Félix as LW, Neto as RW and Palmer as a 10 ahead of maybe Caicedo and Lavia, but this is just trying to accomodate all 4 forward options at once, that might not happen too often. Félix and Palmer might also play as a double 10 sometimes, if Maresca tries some back 3 stuff. Then you also have to think about what happens if Osihmen joins...

I believe Xavi plays what people are calling a 4-2-2-2 with a box midfield, so it appears Felix will be drifting in the half-spaces on the left side, interior of Balde, who will push up into that wing role and hold width.

    • @PythagorasinBoots

    As a Chelsea fan, this deal makes almost no sense to me. Aside from the question of fit which you brought up, the terms of the contract are also bizarre. There's no buy option and Felix extended his Atletico's contract before leaving. Also, Cholo is rumoured to be leaving at the end of the season and he is the one Felix has issues with. So we're paying him £14M for a 6-month timeout before he goes back there? How committed would he be to perform with us then?
    That aside, I do agree about your comment on us needing runners. I don't think we should go for Mudryk though. Nkunku is coming and I think he'd work well as a left inside-forward. Havertz would the the central false 9 and then we'd need a left-footed right winger. Not many of those on the market but I'm impressed with Moussa Diaby. I'd love for you to add him to the list of players' analysis but he's probably not a sexy enough name rn to do a video on. 😂
    So I figure I'd just ask you right here. How do you rate Diaby? Is he ready for a big step up? And would a 4-3-3 with a front line of Nkunku-Havertz-Diaby work? Many thanks and great video as always!

      Neither of these guys has the pace they used to. All past their prime and in Pulisic case just plain unlucky with hamstring issues which curtailed his electric pace.

    His pace and dribbling speed are medium/slow paced. I don't know why you labelled it as his strength. Defenders catch up to him very easily even after he beats them,that combined with his lack of physicality is a huge problem and makes him ineffective against low-block systems.

    • @jonpaul3868
      @jonpaul3868 Год назад

      Correct. I bet the giant defenders of Premiership will crushim. Just look at the red card recently. He was frustrated and commited the foul.

      @kshitiz6376 Год назад

      @@jonpaul3868 He committed the foul to make amends for the bad touch,not due to frustration. And I don't know why people hype the physicality of the PL when the ref is always holding hands of the players and awards a free kick on the smallest contact made to them.

    To me his game is rather similar to mount than havertz interms of chance creations like the Felix love to roam both flanks to whip the ball into the box to the attackers to scores goals..His crossing technique is much better than mount tho, so yeah it interesting what role will he play wich either false nine like havetz or creative no 10 like mount.

    I disagree that Havertz and Felix can't work together. Look at how Havertz works in the Germany squad as a 9. he would tandem with felix with playing more advanced and can take up more of a striker role. Beforehand, due to Mount being in bad form and not having the best vision, Havertz had to take up a lot of the creative responsibilites.

    I think spurs was the best fit for him interms of the type of players they got. Chelsea, as you said, don't really have runners in the side, man utd use wingers who are primarily playmakers except rashford, and arsenal don't utilize runners in behind either except for maybe martinelli so I definitely think spurs was the best option.

    • @hellohi1445
      @hellohi1445 Год назад

      Low-key spurs was defo the best option. They needed creativity and he’s defo the guy. Chelsea only bought him for 11 million too so spurs should’ve gotten him. I think he would’ve joined them too over chelsea. Poor from Tottenham transfer team as expected.

    Hi, I saw this video and was interested in why Joao Felix cant be an attacking midfielder and who are some of the best attacking midfielders itw. Furthermore would you class Odegaard or Coutinho as a attacking midfielder ?

    • @PythagorasinBoots
      @PythagorasinBoots  Год назад +2

      It’s because he doesn’t get involved enough in possession. The timing of when he joins in with play and the volume of his participation points to a player who likes being closer to goal and being a final third specialist rather than a player like Odegaard who is effective even in deeper areas and performs more midfield actions. The way they smell a game and join in with a game is different and it’s those little things which tell you if a player is an advanced 8 or a pure 10/SS.
