How many amps is that circuit breaker above the IEC inlet rated for? A power requirement of 350W is clearly designated between that breaker and the IEC. So, physics being somewhat rigid it would be impossible to continuously output more than 350W with only 350 drawn from the mains. But it might give bursts of very high output. I remember Crown from way back when they built very high powered class AB amps and they certainly met their ratings. I'm baffled by the 350W power input designation. Cool video.
The IHF standard typically tests an amplifier’s power output, thermal behavior, and distortion while running at 1/4 of its rated power. For example, if an amplifier is rated to deliver 1000 watts at full output, under the IHF standard, the testing would involve operating it at 250 watts continuously. the reason why it says 350w at the back is because that how much power it will consume on low power levels (IHS standard)

Hi there. Is there anyway you can see what this amp does on a 6 ohm load? That's what I end up with my two JL 13W7 subwoofers. They have dual 1.5 ohm voice coils. I wire each sub in series to get a 3 ohm load, then I wire both subs in series again to get a final 6 ohm load to the amp. The other only way would give me a 1.5 load which could damage the amp. @erikbritz8095 The Crown XLS 2000 is a solid power amp that can get pretty hot, especially if you’re running it hard at 4-ohm bridged or 2-ohms per channel. This is because it’s working with a lot of current, which naturally makes things warm up. But don’t worry too much-it has a smart cooling system that automatically reduces the power if it starts overheating, which helps keep it from frying itself. If you want it to stay cooler, try running it with an 8-ohm load. It doesn’t need as much current in this setup, so it won’t heat up as much, and it can still push out around 1300 to 1600 watts continuously without issues. Honestly, there aren’t a lot of amps out there that can sustain their rated power for a long period of time like this one can. Plus, most amps actually like a bit of impedance rise, since it gives them more thermal headroom, which means less heat stress and more consistent performance.
