nice realistic vid... for even more added realism, you could have the car dept inspect inbound M395s' setout... doing that will create some "bad orders" which will add to the switching chores... but then you'd have to have a R.I.P. track as well
I've been watching your videos for quite some time. I'm really impressed with how detailed the layout is. The switch engine will be busy with all those cars in the yard. I was wondering why you used the SD 40 instead of the SW switch engine for the job?
We do rotate power for the yard for various reasons. Livingston yard receives heavy tonnage freight trains and long coal drags that are sometimes stored until needed. It really comes down to what trains are running and what pulling power we will need to work the yard so there is some degree of planning ahead..
hello CFMRC !!! great stuff as usual, and it is really nice that you answered viewers wishes about switching. btw, i noted you said you used too much momentum while switching.... i am not a fan of it at all, as i like the "direct control" of my engines. momentum is not a bad thing, its just not for me !!! as well, this sunday the bills play miami here in wny ( i am 20 minutes from highmark stadium) and am wondering who you guys pull for down there.... miami/tampa/or jville !!! dolphins have tons of talent, for sure, but i do not think tagovailoa will make it thru the entire game, and i mean this politely. bills mafia is extremely loud and the parking lots are already filled with tailgaters and mobile homes, which leads many times to an obnoxious crowd. i will not attend any games for that reason... besides, everybody stands for the entire game which, at my age, i cannot do !!! bills 31/dolphins21... please respond with your predictions !!! denny
